Crowne Plaza Melbourne

View fantastic, New Years Eve. Bed uncomfortable, bathroom with glass walls impossible to leave a night light on as it was level with the bead head.

This hotel is chaotic, a lift or stairs is the only way into the hotel from the street if walking.
The lobby offers escalators but main lifts to upper floors are on first floor meaning you have to drag your luggage up the escalator to get to the lifts.
We stayed on the top floor level 10 for three nights and it felt like going through a rabbit warren to get to our room, room 1012.
Our room was very clean but the stained carpet let it down.
We had buffet breakfast daily but honestly save yourself $42 per person and go elsewhere, food is lukewarm at best, bacon inedible and yogurt was out of date.
Location is great for crown casino and dfo both in walking distance.
My favorite thing about the hotel was the water bottle’s. Instead of plastic you are given metal reusable bottles with a refilling station on first floor, absolutely love this initiative.

Refurbished and they have sorted their breakfast coffee and omelet’s out so now perfect for business travel and one of the best in Melbourne if you do business in the west

Best stay. We had a wonderful river view and excellent view to the fire show. The room and sheets were clean and i absolutely love the temperature of the room. Breakfast was yummy too my kids love it, The staff were wonderful and the car Park was very good just walking distance I love it and accommodating, they made sure we had a pleasant stay. We give it 5 Star see you guys

Clean rooms, staff are friendly. Buffet breakfast was fantastic. The room on the 10th floor had a good view of the city and the trains that went past. Bit noisy though.

Exceptional. Very friendly staff and so helpful. Gave us a skyline room and the view was amazing. Given I’d booked here and not there more expensive towers, we realised our view and site was probably better! In fact I loved being over the small bridge and away from bicycles running us over and the hustle of the bank. Where we were was almost at the point of the bank on flinders bridge looking back towards Spencer st bridge and the other bridges and wow! Excellent bedding. Huge picture window. Fantastic cocktails and I can’t fault the food. Tender steak, beautifully cooked greens. Hand made spring rolls. This place was an accidental heaven! V v good! Thankyou!

Awesome location, delish breakfast, lovely room (with a bonus view tks), friendly (professional) staff, this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in for a long time. Keep up the good work.

What a lovely stay.

The hotel is part of the IHG chain. The usual acknowledgment of your membership status with check in. Friendly front desk staff.

Hotel is situated conveniently next to crown and Melbourne convention and exhibition centre. Walking distance to the CBD and southern cross station for SkyBus and trains.

Beautiful view of Melbourne CBD from the hotel. Comfortable room. Recently renovated hotel rooms and facility. Quiet room. Gym and swimming pool in hotel, and valet parking.

Not really liking the TV. Seems a bit old and also unlike other Crowne plaza or really IHG hotels, you couldn’t mirror your device on the TV.

Overall a decent stay meeting the expectation of Crowne plaza.

Doors are made of paper as you can hear the farts of other guests in the hallway. The pineapple juice at breakfast was fermenting and the manager said it was fine, hence a lot of farting in the hallway. On the plus side the shower was very clean.

Incredible service under very trying circumstances. Staying just as a covid lock down was announced. Staff were unfailingly friendly, polite and upbeat. Had a meal at Yugo; outstanding food and charming service.

Back of house staff were friendly and responsive. Conference venue was absolutely ideal for our purposes and I would definitely use again. Please note that we did not stay at the hotel or use their catering, so I cannot comment on these aspects.

When we checked in, the given room was already occupied by someone. My access card was not worked then call reception. They access it using their key but some one was in. Shame on Crowne Plazza.

Fantastic staff fantastic to book directly with beautiful room it is my birthday we came home from dinner and there was a bottle of yummy champagne thank you for a great stay we will always stay here in the future thank you to all the lovely staff

Booked a riverview suite and we were disappointed with our stay. Lack of amenities on the back of CoVid-19 rationale of reducing almost everything. Expect bottled toiletries under lock and key - we felt fine for standard rooms but for a premium room was somewhat a let down. Anything else required a phone call to housekeeping which unfortunately confirmed there was no complimentary bottled water, nothing for the bathtub (i.e. Bath salts or bubbles), etc. We moved to a different place after our 4 night stay to reflect on a nice location that could have been so much better. Pity as an IHG member and was a fan.

I stayed in the King Skyline Riverview Suite along with my partner and our 6 month old. We were very impressed with all the comforts of the room and having a cot already set up when we arrived, but the main reason we had splurged and booked this room was for the bathtub. While trying to fill up the bathtub and have a bath the water would just empty as the plug is not sealed properly. All other aspects were amazing but I was just disappointed with bathtub.

The staff were very polite, helpful and efficient. The breakfast team especially and the wonderful bar maid in the bar had such a lovely smile and manner. The beds were very comfortable and pillows were Devine!

Great location for walking around Melbourne, easy to get to and leave but no free parking. Rooms have good bed/ pillows and shower with a great view of river and city. Our room came with shampoo, conditioner and body wash so no shaving or other toiletries and no bath robe. We didn't have any mini bar so bring some beer and munchies to put in your fridge. Good hotel and friendly staff will be staying here again in future.

Don't let the outside fool you, inside this gem is waiting to treat you to a lovely rest and is perfectly located on a main tram line and the casino

Room was lovely, fantastic view, but booking.com stuffed up my booking and crowne plaza were not helpful at fixing it, charged $65 night for roll away bed, then add a extra $100 for another person, when l booked for 2 people. I did get money back for roll away bed after taking to a manager, but never go the other $100 back. Even after phone call from manger when l got home. They just send dont book though booking. Com, lovely place but l what stay there again. Took my friend away for nice week after losing her husband to cancer in lock down.and she end up on roll away bed,
