81There is a huge selection of pop culture products. The aisles are a bit narrow to navigate but it’s a small shop so not surprising.
At times some pop culture store can be overpriced, and this is the case for this store as well for some of their product still much better than most stores. However, the staff is always so kind and accommodating that i gladly purchase from this store to support the business.love this store.
The staff here are lovely, more of an anime/manga based store than comics and western media. There are lots of things that would be hard to find in Australia but are available here, and at a good price too.
Megan was amazing, she was super helpful over the phone and shipped our order personally. It was super urgent for a special birthday girl, so happy it arrived on time and was exactly as seen online. Thanks Maddie
What a place! I always buy my figures from there, they have really good prices and the staff is helpful and super nice!
Went in in December looking for a gift. They have a decent selection and items are generally priced cheaper than their competitors.
The shop is small and cramped but staff are helpful and knowledgeable and will help you find anything you are after. You can find some really great deals here from time to time.
Unfortunately, the store did smell like a toilet the last time I was there but hopefully that has been resolved.
Compared to Minotaur this place has a better arrangement and guide of where different genre and style of anime merchandise located at. Good customer service, go there every week. A lot of the newest and authentic merchandise.
Really nice little shop it took a little while to get service but the staff were friendly and inviting
Two storeys of games and puzzles for any discerning table top enthusiast. Staff are friendly and helpful, where one was less knowledgeable another helped fill in gaps about a particular table top war game.
I have been a big fan for 6 months and this shop is amazing! The people that work at this shop are so nice. They make it feel like it's your home. I think this shop is amazing for every type of person. Trading cards people, anime people and fan art people
Critical Hit has an amazing variety of Pop culture and anime products with the inclusion of certain Japan exclusive products that we can't get anywhere else but here. The staff are also really friendly and know exactly what you're looking for, overall a great pop culture shop.
We visited Critical Hit three times (!) on a recent trip to Melbourne. It was one of my kids favourite stores. The staff were very friendly, helpful and patient. Highly recommended!
May all your 20s be natural.
Best staff I've ever met. Great prices for everything. Going back frequently to get 10% off heaps.
Great range of hard to find items and friendly staff. Also a good loyalty card that gets you a permanent 10% discount after ten visits. Highly recommended.
Useful store for finding some harder to obtain collectables. Quite cramped however due to limited floor space.
The stock is brilliant and they have a lot of Japanese exclusives. I'm dissatisfied in the prices however because I managed to find the same item $10 lower on the Madman Store. The staff are exceptionally rude. I went in one day and I had a lot of coins with me because I usually don't use a card. The woman at the store sighed and gave me a filthy look the whole time she was counting it. Yes, I understand counting money is annoying and time consuming but you should still be polite and not look at me like I'm the devil. Apart from that it is a good store and I will go again for the variety of merchandise but not for that particular woman at the counter lol
They have a huge range of authentic anime and video game merchandise that is normally super hard to find. (Genuine Japan imports) Each time I go there's something new I want to buy. The staff there are always very enthusiastic and nice to talk to!
They managed to fit a lot in a small store. I like their stand at supernova is great. Store itself is pricey and the staff member didn't seem to care a bunch.
Critical Hit is a small but well-stocked store in Melbourne's CBD, locally owned with video games and specialising in pop culture merchandise such as Pokemon, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, DC & Marvel Comics, Yu-Gi-Oh, Funko Pop! Vinyls and more. Posters, keyrings, plush toys,
anime products and branded merch fill very corner of the store! They also accept pre-orders and have an online store.
