Was here about 2 years ago, SO MUCH TALK about how AMAZING it was.my pie and sausage roll just wasn't cooked 100% (pastry) and it was cold. I returned to give it another try, DELICIOUS!

Eating the pies here feels like cuddling on a cold winter night. The crust was nothing fancy but holds everything well in place, flavor of the fillings made to perfection, and the fillings themselves had the perfect consistency so when you bite into them they don’t drip out the sides of your mouth. I’m someone that normally prefers non basic flavors but this plain beef pie trumps nearly all the other pies I’ve ever had.

Very large variety of pies. Absolutely lovely tasting pies. We got there for an early lunch and the cafe was full. Great variety of cakes to choose from as well. Also burgers, potato cakes, dim sims and other items on menu. Great place for a fantastic pie. Will be back.

Amazing! Truly the best pies in Australia! Creative exotic flavours and polished traditional favourites can be found in their expansive menu. Each flavour is encased in a flaky pastry that's strong enough to hold together but goes down oh, so well. Truly a must for any pie gourmand.

The Chilli Con pie was delicious and the pastries great yesterday. However, I was disappointed that the shop ran out of Plain and Pepper Beef pies around 12: 20PM. These are Country Con's signature pies. How can they run out so early in the day, especially weekend?

I have never had a bad thing from this award winning bakery and by bad i dont mean off.i mean burnt or been sitting to long and the inside of a pie goes yuck.now the pies are to die for and so are the desserts like custard tarts and snot blocks (vanilla slices). The hot food it just the right temp and the cold ones are just the right temp too. I can see why they have gathered a trophy cabinet of awards year after year after year. They are good simple as that.go get yaself some goodies and see for yourself you shouldnt be disappointed

An amazing bakery with the widest range of pies to choose from. I have yet to try the sweets but will do in my next visit. I like the quiche actually. Most of the pies I have tried are delicious with the exception of the butter chicken pie. There was hardly any chicken, just plenty of sauce. May be I am just unlucky

Head up north to support the town and Customer service wasn't the best.
Turned her nose up when we asked for a coffee too much trouble.
Oh well headed to Woodend.

Well it deserves all the awards it has won! Great. We tried the plain beef pie, chunky beef pie and curry scallops. I will be back for sure. All were great and freshly baked.

What can I say. The pies are the best. Winning 5 years in a row. You can't go wrong. The lobster pie is a must. It cost $14. But you need to try it once. Yum. My favourite. Mushroom Pie thank you.

Coffee and cakes were ok. Tables inside and out were left with used cups and plates with no staff even looking interested in clearing the tables.

Sorry Country Cob, but we didn't enjoy your award winning mince and the pepper pies. The pastry was very limp and not much mince that we could see, mostly gravy. Maybe this is the judges criteria, this is all we could think? We detoured a long way, and we're disappointed. But I have read other reviews that say your gourmet pies are delicious.

Great find! Pies and pastries were a big hit, and definitely worth the drive. Fresh and delicious with a great assortment that pleased everyone! The vanilla slice is a must! The lobster pie was the highlight! Definitely going back!

The pies here were absolutely legendary. We got the Thai beef and curried scallop pies. Both were sensational. Flaky, thin yet firm pastry. Amazingly flavourful and loaded fillings. Worth the trip. Not to be missed.

We were excited to finally try pies at award winning bakery. The pies were only okay compared to fancy tasty pies around Melbourne. Coffee was unfortunately undrinkable. To be fair, the prices and service were amazing. This bakery is famous so I think it's just not for me.

Today I had the garlic prawn pie & this was hands down the absolute best pie I have ever eaten in my life! I’ll never eat another pie and be as satisfied as I was with this one.
It felt like a bunch of prawns dancing in my mouth, and twirling around with creamy garlic sauce, that blew my brain away with every bite.
People say I need a man in my life, but all I want is the pie!
Yours truely garlic prawn pie lover for life!

Believe the hype; the pies are damn good. I ordered the satay seafood, pork & pepper, plain beef and a vanilla slice. The Satay Seafood has nice fresh chunks of fish, curry flavour and mildly spicy. Definitely worth a try. The Pork & Pepper contained nice chunky pieces of pork.

Came here just after 8am and there wasn’t many people. 10 mins later however the line started to build, so timing is essential. I love that there are plenty of tables available, which were spotless clean. The vanilla slice which I ate later in evening was very nice also, maybe a little sweet for my liking.

Definitely worthy of a stop if your driving pass Kyneton. A fantastic Aussie success story from humble beginnings in Cambodia to now making first class gourmet pies in this sleepy country town.

Friendly country service. Vanilla slices are excellent. Not a fan of their meat (mince) pies. Very, very ordinary coffee - after buying countless takeaways, the last one was 36C after ordering extra hot. Fair crack, I'm giving up!

Totally worth the drive. I had the pork and pepper pie. No wonder it is an award winner. So good! Enough seats inside. Lots of great shops near by. Now I have to decide on a cake. This will take me a while.

Oh devine! This place is AMAZING! We were driving home and stopped in here and were delighted by all the scrumptious bakery items! I had a custard tart which was so yummy. My son had a Gingerbread Man. Good coffee and pies were tasty.
Great for families with lots of tables for eating. Bathroom had a change table for baby, ticked all my boxes. Will defentially go again next time we travel through.
