Coburg Family Medical Centre

I went to Coburg Family Medical Center yesterday around 11: 45am. The receptionist took 10 minutes to notice that I am waiting in front of her! She was talking to another receptionist and pretending that she hasn't noticed me. When doing the blood test the nurse tells me that the receptionist has put my name and family name in the wrong order. When I tell her about this, she blames the medicare database for it (I checked it and it is totally fine). Could you please do your job properly? You have ONE job! Is it too much to ask?

The worst customer service i've ever seen from the receptionist.girls who lack proper training in customer service.they are loud condescending mean, extremely judgemental. Mate people are sick, that's why they're there.it's like being kicked when your down, awfull. Some of those doctors are mean and have no idea what they're doing. How did you even get your doctors licence buddy. Avoid this place at all costs.

I've been waiting at home for 12 hours for the doctor to call me back because I had bad nausea all day vomiting
I called them back to see why they didn't call me and then they said they will call me back asap
It's been 8 hours and they let me down.
They seriously don't care about their patients
I dont recommend anyone to use this delayed place

Pathetic administration, best to give it a go somewhere else. Called clinic once and automated system says you can leave a message and we will call back, didnt receive the call back for next 3 days.

Another time called reception to update email address to receive a request for lab test, didnt receive the lab request for few days.called again only to be told they didnt have email address handy and dont know if I spoke to a ghost when I called previously and gave my email address.

Another time called clinic who took appointment for a teleconsulation, didnt get a call back.when called the next day a non apologetic voice says she cant check what happened yesterday and someone will call next day.

I think the administration needs to get out of the mindset that they are doing social service by working and need to be more responsible if they wish to represent this clinic. Gives a I AM IN THE WRONG JOB vibe when you call and speak to them.

Male doctors in this clinic are homophohic and misogynistic. 6 hour wait time for a phone consultation and upon appointment the doctors don't seem to care or listen to their patients. Religious undertones seem to effect the way certain patients are treated.

Zero communication, put me on hold for 45 mins to book appointment and after long wait they just hungup the phone.
At least say something nit just hang up the phone.

Worst clinic in whole of the Melbourne…. There are better clinics in third world countries… 3hours just to see a doctor and if you ask the receptionist they will say “Oh Won’t be long its only one doctor today”… Why can’t you let people know earlier if you have to make people wait for long hours. Never ever coming back to this wretched place again.

I've been reading many negative reviews about this clinic, I was hesitant to come here but I said let's check it out before making any judgement.
I called the receptionists for a booking and she was really nice and helpful. That was my first good impression.
When I was at the clinic the staff were nice and trying their best, There's a bit of waiting but that's in every hospital or clinic.
Dr Ahmed is a professional easy going doctor, he knows what he's doing and will make u comfortable for sure.
Overall I'm happy to come here again.

Everything is so bad here.
Managed very very poorly. Actually, it's not managed at all. Waiting time can be 40 min to 1h. Receptions are not trained and not professional. Appointments has different meaning in here so dont bother coming here thinking you have an appointment and will see your doctor on time.

Visit for GPs or blood tests. Bulk billed services. Online booking in advance. DOREVITCH pathology lab services. Xovid vaccinations available and can be taken walkin.

I booked the appointment at 11am and when i ask them they said u have to waite for another hours

Phone call appointment are hoorible to take. Plus the receptionist are incomptent for the job. The miss on detail and book wrong doctor.
It very frustrating to reach to the doctor. Need to improve management badly.

Had to come a long way in the rain cuz of medical problems for them to tell me that the doctor can’t see you cuz she’s busy. Shame on you!

Lovely service, all staff at this clinic are always polite and very helpful. Special thanks to Mai for being so quick and efficient.

SERIOUSLY, DOES ANYONE ANSWER UR PHONES?
Called about 5-6 times over the last week and no one ever answers!? !? Wait for ages only for it to automatically disconnect because I’ve been waiting too long. Seriously, get it together!

This medical centre is fantastic. Always available to see my children and I when I need help and always thorough. I have come here when it's Sunday night and in pain after seeing other doctors about abdominal pain. Physical hands on assessment and listening diagnosed both an appendicitis and gallbladder stone with ultrasound and quick arrangements to see a surgeon on a Sunday afternoon. Thank you so much for all you do and especially Dr Luca who has taken care of my mother for years and made sure she is always taken care of when needed. 10 stars, not 5!

If I can give zero star I would definitely do, this is not my first bad experience here
First time I waited more than hour to finally the receptionist apologised for the wait as my name mistakenly did not registered
This time no apologies were given after an hour of wait and I clearly saw people coming after me were called by the doctor I was waiting to see
What was the reason this time? !
Plus they have always issues with my insurance and I pay for every visit

I have been there twice. So far very good, nice staff service was quick, doctor see me quick and she was very compassionate and kind. Looking forward to have my next appointment for test results.

I would give this place a zero if I could. Walked in and the receptionist didn’t acknowledge that I was there for a good 10 mins. Had to approach one of them before they served someone else. Was then told there is a $10 new patient registration fee. Never had to pay registration fee before in other medical centres. So if I was you I would avoid this place. And I believe it’s strange and questionable (probably dodgy) for a bulk billing place to be charging new customers registration fees.

But the doctor was funny and kinda helpful.

Disgusting wait time even for a phone call. Wouldn’t even get to speak to anyone before being put on hold for 10-20 minutes. Every time I go to the clinic, the wait at the reception takes just as long as the phone call. The reception staff sit around doing nothing and act as if you’re not there. They’re not polite at all and have no manners. The only positive is the nurse who is super helpful and makes you feel at ease.
Definitely would not recommend this clinic, their time management is poor and their people skills and respect for their clients are non-existent.
