Ciloms Airport Lodge

I phoned the Ciloms Airport Lodge yesterday to book a room for my driver who was coming through this evening. They had a room available. I then asked if there was anywhere on site or nearby that the driver could park a 20m truck & trailer combination.
I was advised that there was an overflow carpark that was not currently in use and he could use that. I requested that he call on approach for directions into the parking space & the gentleman I was speaking to said that would be fine.
He then took my credit card card number over the phone & he asked me if it was for the room only or if the driver could place other charges on the card & I stated room only.
When my driver arrived tonight, he was told that the room was not paid for & he would have to pay, there was no place to park the truck & it would have to be parked on the street (partially blocking the traffic lane) or in the BP down the road.
She said they "never take credit cards over the phone" & basically implied that all the information I recited from the previous day was a fabrication on my part or the result of my speaking to a less experienced staff member.
She had no interest what so ever in the fact I had a guy 900km from home with nowhere to sleep & hung up on me.
She also said that my driver was incredibly rude to her - something I have never, ever found with this person, who is incredibly patient. Based on her tone with me, if he was rude he had more than just cause.
I was lucky to find another room for him about 1/2 an hour away, but I that is certainly no thanks to Cilom Airport Lodge.

For convenience of location it is perfect and their staff are wonderful however their rooms have a bit left to be desired. So I recommend this place if you are tired and looking for a bed but not for long term stay or modern comforts.

Staff is RUDE and Disrespectful. This guy Khaled, wont talk politely, wanted to complain and talk to the manager, got refused repeatedly.i wont recommend this place to anyone.wish i could give this place minus (-) 10 stars if i could.highly diss appointed by their behaviour. Shocked

Good service, bonus for free airport shuttle at a timely manner. Clean rooms, clean facilities i.e. Pool. We stayed at Ciloms because it was across the road from Urbn Surf. Convenient location.

The facility is great. The on-site caterers were really good, helped to be able to cater for dietary needs.the air-conditioning in the reception centre is a little weak though.people were overly warm.

Lost my dads booking, had to pay for the most expensive room which was sub standard with some appliances not working. Would never recommend it to anyone.

Dimmy the shuttle driver picked us up from the airport and drove us to Maccas on the way. What a legend.

We've used Ciloms a number of times, and the service is great. It's like a well oiled machine - everything runs smoothly, we've never had a hitch. We always leave our vehicle in their parking lot when we're flying interstate - the rates are very reasonable and it's secure, and the free shuttle bus gets us to the airport in plenty of time for our flight, and picks us up on the return. We've stayed overnight sometimes, and the rooms are lovely and clean, and we've enjoyed a buffet meal in the restaurant - good variety of food and good value. The staff are friendly, helpful, and efficient. I highly recommend Ciloms as a very reliable service.

The room was clean only good thing of my stay.
The shower bearly worked at all no pressure what so ever.
I had room next to elevator so no sleep all night from doors slamming.
The staff were doing washing at 3am
The car park in there pictures is Melbourne airport parking not there car park (there's is a shed).
All you can eat buffet has never been opened at all.
So over all very poor, rude staff, will not be back or recommend either.

The best place I stayed at staff was very friendly. I enjoyed staying it having a pool, spa sauna, and a gym very welcoming recommend this place to anyone

Great place to stay pre flight, awesome bar and fantastic food, and can’t give enough praise to Astrid at the bar, she was super friendly and went above and beyond with customer service for us, an absolute asset to this place.

Ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious and the beer cold on a very hot day. The seafood pasta was one of the best I've had. Dennis the manager/bartender/cook is a legend. Will definitely return here when back in Melbourne and surfing the wavepool.

Perfect place to stay if you are visiting Urbnsurf (surfing wave pool), which is directly opposite. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and well serviced and very reasonably priced. Can’t speak highly enough of the food in bistro. All dishes are well presented, big servings and at a low price. Best restaurant that I ever have come across in a 3 to 4 star hotel/motel!

Great place and has a bistro in the lobby which is also nice close by the airport free shuttle bus to get you there and back heated pool and spa was awsome

Sixth time we have stayed here. As usual the staff and room were very good.
Sadly the restaurant was closed and we had to order from the bistro. Very disappointed in the food.

Pretty rude staff stuffed us around with rooms tried to make us pay for a bigger room then gave us a small room
