82Julian was fantastic in helping me choose a gaming monitor. He helped me through my options and landed me at one I think is exactly what I was after.
Great experience with the team at Centre Com Clayton. I have used Centre Com for both personal and corporate purchases and have had some tricky requests in both circumstances - nothing is a hassle with these guys. Alex B knows his stuff and knows how to service both retail and corporate customers.
A few prices are good but most of them more expensive than the competitors. The line is ridiculous! They definitely need more staff! Also what is the point of waiting for so long in the "express checkout lane" when you have paid online and have received the email that says apparently your stuff "are ready"for pick up, to get told to drive around the building to pick up your stuff. Can't they just send you straight at the back and avoid the unnecessary queue?
I'd love to be able to provide a higher rating for this store, as they do stock some great products. However, on the occasions i have been here (2-3 times over the last 4-5 months), I've had to wait so long to checkout (upwards of 20+ minutes), let alone actually finding someone on the shop floor to assist me with enquiries that it doesn't seem worth the trip here anymore, have started shopping online elsewhere.

A little late but really wanted to commend the team at Centre Com, especially Sophia and her manager (sorry didn't catch his name). Went to buy some parts for a new build. They were really knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions and provided great recommendations. Then the next day got a case, which ended up being faulty. Bought it back for a easy, no stress swap. Thanks Jewlion, you were super helpful. Keep up the good work.
Last week I accidentally got a router instead of a modem and wanted to do an exchange. Unfortunately, this store didn't have the correct product in stock. However, Alex assisted with providing recommendations and a refund. Very happy with the customer service provided.
Edited: after an initial negative experience relating to a warranty repair. Their store person, Alex, went to every effort to address my concerns and resolve the issue. The issue was resolved to my satisfaction and with good service.
They always have great deals and usually some of the lowest prices, but for shopping in store they really need more staff on. There was only one poor guy serving who was clearly run off his feet with a massive queue building. There should be at least 2 or 3 people serving as it took us 20 minutes (no exaggeration) to get through the checkout.
Been going here for many year and their knowledge and advice is brilliant along with the prices, ask to talk to Alex, he is excellent!
Don't recommend centrecom.
I bought a gaming system for my son 4 months ago from centrecom, the monitor stopped working after three months, they send it for repair 2 month still no news from them. I bought for my sons school hidays tuition and gaming.
Now I have to buy another monitor it is taking 1 month to get fixed.
The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help us to get the products we needed.

Service at centrecom is sub par considering it's a big store. Yes I went during black friday. All staff was rushing and there's was no bespoke service or help if you had questions to ask about particular items. I was in line finalising my payment and had question about ram and was told if I could hurry on my decision because there was people waiting in line. After spending 5k there you think there would be better service?
On top of that not sure why the online sales department is different from instore?
Tread carefully they have a strict policy about change of mind. If the components you buy are not compatible they consider it a change of mind when the stock hasn't even been picked up. Never experienced this with Scorptec. This will be the last time I shop there based on end to end shopping experience.
Only went there because their GPU prices were the lowest in Melbourne.
I organised a pick up of two laptops that were on sale at a great price. The store held them for me, which I greatly appreciate as they were the last two laptops in that model. Quick service when I picked them up. We are very happy with items.
Alex from Clayton was very helpful in giving me advice about purchasing a portable monitor, unfortunately the model I needed was not in stock at the store.
I have bought 4 computers from them and lots of peripherals over the years. My last purchase had a faulty graphics card (kept BSOD randomly). Took awhile to diagnose and replace (4 business days), but getting a replacement wasnt too difficult (it works fine and has passed all the stress tests i could throw at it). This is a reputable and honourable retailer - I purchased a computer a day before black Friday - and they refunded me the difference I paid without any drama. This is top notch. Shout out to Alex B and Andrew.
