Cedar Bakery reviews
73This is a COVID-19 contact tracer’s nightmare and an outbreak waiting to happen. Staff not wearing masks or not wearing them properly and not practicing proper food hygiene standards. I felt unsafe dining at Cedar Bakery, and wouldn’t recommend anyone dining here as they are very clearly not taking their responsibility seriously to prevent the spread of the virus into the Preston community.
Great coffee, delightful pastries AND they're open for deliveries over the lockdown! Wonderful packaging, nice presentation, and thoughtful service.
Coffee fabulous, food so delicious, comfortable vibe, very friendly staff, fresh bread.so good, ingredients to purchase clearly labeled, neat, tidy, very clean shop, prices make you smile, happily.
Next visit will be longer, won't need to rush off, will make sure of it.
Have been a few times now for lunch and each time it has been fantastic!
The food is amazing and so reasonably priced. The kofta burger is delicious, seasoned with fragrant middle eastern spices. Love their fresh juices and you can’t go past the coffee!
To top it off they have a huge variety of spices, herbs, grains, biscuits, dips you can buy from the store to take home!
Beautifully crafted, unique breakfast. The place is very clean and there is plenty of seating both inside and out. The freshly baked pides are yummy as well as everything else they prepare. The chai latte and coffee was nice, too.
The traditional Lebanese backed goods are consistently delectable here. As a huge fan of Zataar and Lebanese Halloumi pies and after having sampled multitude of baked goods across Sydney, Melbourne and parts of Amman, Jordan; Cedar Bakery far exceeds the quality I have personally experienced! The general design and atmosphere feels very cool and modern, other bakeries should take note! The only fault is the excessive use of plastic to package dried goods they stock on shelves.
Come here for the amazing coffee and bakery foods! Highly recommended!
Stopped off for a quick coffee before a long drive, it was very average. 4 stars because pretty sure you'd be coming here mainly for all the baked goods and other produce (which I didn't try) so 3 felt harsh
Delicious authentic Lebanese bakery. Everything I tried was amazing. Had to come back the next morning. Ordered za'atar, meat, and cheese
Ordered takeaway, no waiter called out the food or coffee was ready whilst staff sat around waiting for the shift to end. Coffee was terribly burnt. Felt unwelcome, food was okay but cold
Always busy and good coffee. And a cute little supermarket with some things you can't find in chain supermarkets. Not a traditional food menu though, so I haven't eaten here yet. (I was in the mood for a standard bacon/eggs style breakfast but couldn't find anything to suit this on the menu)
Lit bakery, great selection of pastries, breads and a whole manner of sides all in a nice space. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options too. Awesome place. 5 stars.
Great service, and amazing food. It's rare to find such a good quality general store and restaurant that does so well in both aspects.
The Cedar Bakery has a wonderful, urban bakery feel to it. The food is well priced, there is kind, welcoming staff, and as well as being a café, it doubles as a produce store. They sell many different foods and drinks. Beans, oils, sweets, yoghurt and much, much more.
Prices have doubled post-renovations, cashing in on the yuppie dollars, but food is delicious as ever. Loses two stars just for making customers pay public holiday surcharge. If you can’t afford to pay your workers public holiday wages the you can’t afford to run a business properly. Don’t make your customers pay your workers wages.
Great place with a variety of choices for meat eaters & vegetarians (+vegan). One of the better coffee places. In addition the staff are friendly and very efficient. Whether you are eating in or take away I highly recommend. Outside seating available with sufficient parking nearby.
Always an enjoyable. This time I had the Lab Fillets which were full flavoured and accompanied by delicious small potatoes. A large meal, but strongly recommend.
The lebanese pizza from here are really good I recommend the maid and the za'atar pizza. They also make a really good coffee and the stuff is really friendly.
Spacious and modern with friendly staff. Asked for a piping hot coffee and that's exactly what i got, as some cafes do not deliver. I had the fatteh which was on point with their ratios and my son had meat straps with garlic potatoes. Halal meat as informed by staff
Lovely staff and delicious food. There is a reason why this place seems to be busy all the time. My only advise is to warm the bread a bit longer. Both times I have been here it's been a little cold in the middle.
Best coffee on the entire strip (Preston, Northcote, Thornbury,) sensational Greek food and pastries, lovely attentive staff and best value on the strip! In fact I've ditched most others and now hang out here with ALL the papers, including more than one Age and there's ample parking.it's a miracle!
