Cedar Bakery reviews
73Reasonable prices and range of food. Spacious. I'm not a fan of the atmosphere though. A bit loud and lights bright.
I would like to express my dissatisfaction regarding my recent experience at your bakery. Unfortunately, I found the behavior of the owner to be highly disrespectful towards me and my friends. Furthermore, the quality of the food we received was significantly below our expectations. Regrettably, based on this experience, I have decided that I will not be returning to your establishment, even if offered free products or services. I hope you take this feedback into consideration for the betterment of your business.
Cedar Bakery should definitely be a place to visit to grab some Middle Eastern groceries or a bite to eat. They have great coffee and delicious Lebanese pastries available at an affordable price!
Very nice Lebanese experience, friendly staff. However, pricey. You can get similar for much less $.
Must give a shout to the most AMAZING person working there Mia, she helped me out today by a stunning act of generosity- as a result Cedars you have my lifelong support. The power of good staff- unparalleled! Merci beaucoup Mia!
Veggie zatar is consistently delicious. Coffees are not bad either. Never too busy and open later in the arvos for a late lunch!
With multiple locations this place certainly won't disappoint. Great variety of affordable middle eastern options, spices and vibe. Just be aware that ready to eat food is different from what's in the menu for dining in. Coffee is good.
Great services friendly customers amazing food. Just one thing I orders a margarita pizza and they use tomato sauce for their pizza nooooo it’s for chips too sweet only had one slice. Please let customers no it’s not like italian margarita pizza that sauce is only for chips and pies?
Food was damn good but I could not wait to leave as the barristers were listening to Taylor Swift at full volume on their phone speakers and singing along very very poorly and I spent the whole time screaming on the inside, never eating in there again.
Love the coffee and pastries here, decent breakfast spread too, but they were so busy we waited almost an hour for our food
One of the best bakery in Melbourne. I tried latte and fatah and both excellent.
A little bit expensive.
Badly arranged store. You have to walk to far end of shop to order/pay for coffee them wander up front to collect it. Crazy system, coffee was luke warm, not coming back.
Epic little bakery, good lighting, really good music when we went for a work meeting. The halumi pie is next level. It still has an authentic vibe, warm & lovely- will be back ️
Wanting to broaden our horizons, a friend and I stopped in at Cedars cafe bakery.
Being middle eastern, I invited her to select our breakfast items.
Next, the table was filled with a breakfast banquet, which I'm reliably informed, is authentic for a middle eastern family.
So it was with great joy that my friend excitedly requested our return several times since then.
Pictured is a middle eastern take on scrambled eggs, an assortment of olives, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, pickled turnips, falafels (Which were, alas, a little dry and crunchy), and two dessert squares.
On other occasions we've included the Chickpea Fatteh, which is my personal favourite, and the Ful Medames, also highly recommended.
The hot chocolate I'm told is pretty good, too!
The food was good but you can find better Lebanese bakeries around. Staff seemed slightly lost, however there was a sign at the entrance explaining the staff shortage.
Bakery stuff is pretty decent however normal made to order breakfast is below average. Ordered egg & lamb breakfast board and the only thing good on there was the cucumber and tomato. Absolutely no taste or flavouring in the dish. Tasted very very bland! Disappointing.
My order this morning was delivered 1 hour late. Some items I ordered were also missing, leaving me about $15 out of pocket: - (: - (.
I tried calling Cedar Bakery but no response therefore i believe i will not get any refund for the avocado and dice Lamb that never got delivered.
Food was good though but service was very poor.
Lets see if Cedar Bakery will respond to my review.
Always tasty! My faves - zaatar with veggies, spicy lamb, spinach pastries. Handy that you can buy some frozen ones you can take home and bake yourself and do some other grocery shopping while waiting for your food!
Amazing food, loved the Sujuk Pizza, also has a great store for all the middle eastern food you need!
Haven’t had Fatteh in a while like this - fantastic service and food. For a lebanese man, visiting from Sydney - I am super
impressed.
