Carlos Cantina - Croydon

Really good Mexican food when you’re in the mood. Quick and friendly service. Amazing enchiladas! Plus sombrero’s with every fishbowl makes for a funny night.

Great food here, I have been going to Carlos Cantina for a couple of years and always had a great feed, the takeaway is just as good and ready to go

Food was just over rated ️ We were not happy with everything we ordered we never finished a meal that was served. Would never go back and would never recommend it to anyone. The dishes were overcooked, seasoning was just lacking, portion sizes were a bit small. Service was a bit slow and the staff were just not attentive to the diners.

The staff here are fantastic.
The food is even better.

The interior has been completely revamped from when it was Taco Bill's, updated, more modern, better quality seating and a bit more room with the removal of the big wagon from the middle of the floor.

The menu is very similar to Taco Bill's and Viva in Croydon, however, the quality of the food is far better than either of those.

The parts that are able to be made fresh, from scratch, taste as though they are. The salsa, all the meats are slow cooked, stewed, it's not premade and stuck in a microwave, it's made from scratch and tastes fantastic.

On Wednesday 21st March 2018 I went there with Marjorie tonight and I had Beef Fajitas with Cheese and Sour Cream followed by a Mexican Punch to drink and Marjorie had the Seafood Fajitas with a glass of red. I would recommend going there on Tuesday and Wednesday nights since it is half price so you will save money also it is very nice of Maddy to let me use my Birthday on a half price night and to give me Churros for the free dessert instead of the sticky date pudding. It was nice of Maddie to refund me for the Beef Fajitas on Wednesday 14th March 2018 when I didn't even dine on that night so I must have made an honest mistake and for that I apologise and I hope you can forgive me.

Food is almost there only thing I can fault is corn chips are very salty to the point where it’s overwhelming. Would like to be able taste the other flavours but can’t because everything is completely overloaded with salt!

Visited your Croydon restaurant last night 16th February to celebrate my Birthday with my son and daughter-in-law and my daughter and her fiance. None of us had dined at your restaurant ever before. Will we all come back again? YOU BET WE WILL! Wonderful service all night, fantastic food and drinks. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff keep up the terrific service and food! I never rate anything 10/10 but last night staff and food thoroughly deserved top marks! Thank you so much.
