Bourkies Bake House reviews
79Yum, yum and yum! Beautiful drive to an amazing bake house. Everything we bought (we bought a lot) was delicious. I'll be back
Great value. We shared several sweet treats including a Vanilla slice. It was worth the calories.
Vanilla slices are the best in Victoria hands down. Forget Sorrento, this place smashes it by miles. Sausage rolls are also pretty good.
I would post a pic of the chicken and mushroom pie but unfortunately it's in my belly now. That was so tasty, thanks.
Bubble gum donuts are worth dying for! Would’ve been five stars but it’s not everyday they have aforementioned donuts.
Great little bakery, lots of choices, friendly staff. Have stopped here a few times and never been disappointed. Well worth calling into Woodend for a visit. Plenty of parking out the back as well.
Hi all, if you are looking for the best pies Cornish pasties and all the cakes and breads if you are in the town try them you won't regret it! !
Excellent sandwiches/rolls. Great pies and sausage rolls. Baked goods are a little heavy - would be good if the pastries and doughnut pastry were lighter and not so dense. Bread is excellent.
Really nice food and coffee and excellent service. If you around Woodend, then don't go past this place before trying there snacks and drinks
Great tasty pies. Sausage roll pastry was a bit dry but still enjoyed my lunch.
Staff very friendly and quick service despite being busy.
The mushroom pie was yum and nice and warm. We had to wait a good 5 minutes as it was packed with people. We were number 76 and they were serving the 40s when we came. The apple shortcake was ok, but not much apple.
Unfortunately the vegetable pastie was awful. The same for the sausage roll. Both had too much pastry and awful fillings.
Dropped in to get a coffee, waited in line, (didn't see ticket system they used to have), girl serving, served customer in front of me, looked at me waiting, then moved away to look out window while I still waited patiently, she then served next customer who walked through door, had to wait until another person served me, when I finally got my coffee it was lukewarm and bitter. Won't be going there again.
Man, this place is doing a roaring trade. Unfortunately, I suffered the miserable food & service at other places in town, before I found this well-oiled machine. Impossible to get fresher food, pricing is same as anywhere, and they have a great buzz of activity, with all the service going on.
When visiting the Wombat Forest I always drop in to the bakery for lunch. Great selection of food to take away into the forest for lunch.
Great place over all. Definitely go the pies or cakes as you will need to take out a mortgage to purchase a roll or focaccia. Very expensive. Coffee not the best. Wouldn't drive for far to visit this place, but if in town would definitely stop in for a hot pie.
Love this place, great Vanilla Slices and other pastries. Can be very busy, you must get a number/ticket as soon as you walk in.
Delicious pies and pastries. Very busy and crowded on Sunday of the Woodend Markets. Still plenty of food and good organisation to cope with the demand. Highly recommended.
