Bottega Restaurant reviews
74It was great to finally get back to the resturant after the forced closure. Our food was perfect and the the wait staff equally as good.we will happily return for another meal.
A warm welcome, a warm space, no draughts, friendly polite service, good wines, interesting vegetarian food (not just another risotto) - full marks.
I went there with 5 of my mates for a birthday dinner last night.service was great, the lady who took the order was friendly and nice, knowledgable with the wine options.location was easy to find and nice, and music and the overall vibe was good.food was very average for the price.we ordered every single item on the main menu, my friend didnt finish her risoto, the pasta was plain, fish and gnocchi was soso, the best one was the steak.not sure if this was just that night's chef?
there was abit of a mix up with the bill, we were over charges 2 entrees, went back to ask about it and was told that there was a confusion with the way we ordered and that it was right, we left quite unhappy.
15 min after we tried calling back the restaurant to re clear things up with the receipt, after 3 mins discussion, we were finally on the same page.they refunded us the entrees and apologize for the misunderstanding.manager was very apologetic and swift to rectify things which i really2 appreciate.overall, Service vibe location food
Great food, great service. Have been coming here for over 15 years and the food is just as impressive now as it was the first time we dined here. The service never lets you down. The menu changes regularly bringing new delights although sometimes meaning a sad farewell to some delicious dishes. It’s always too hard to choose between entree and dessert - so just decide to have three courses. The wines are also well matched and the staff are more than capable of making suggestions if you are not sure.
Amazing atmosphere, great service with lovely experienced staff. I had an amazing time and oh my god the food was amazing
Second time I’ve been here. The food is nice and the service is good. If you’re eating early before a show or concert, they make an effort to get your food to you quickly and their theatre menu is very good value.
Bottega charges a lot for very good modern Italian food. With that in mind one expects perfection, and in general that's what they delivered for the four of us who went for dinner. Their 'surprise me' wine, where you blind pick based on tasting notes, was a really good idea. A bottle was presented covered in tinfoil, and we all had to guess what we were drinking before the big reveal. None of us got it right, but all of us loved it. Good value Chianti, even at $80.
We tried their Valentine's Day menu. Decent food quality but small portions, so not worth the price we paid and service was underwhelming
We recently booked a private dining room for a celebration lunch and from the time of booking the room to organising the function with the Event Manager to the actual day - we couldn't fault the attention to detail, professionalism and helpfulness from all staff. The actual day was a success - the food was excellent and enjoyed by all and our waitress couldn't have been more helpful. Would certainly recommend this restaurant.
The Team at Bottega are focussed which makes a huge difference when it comes to enjoying a meal at Bottega restaurant. Thank you.
Calm efficent service despite a busy lunchhour crowd and melt i nthe mouth pasta. We all left feeling well fed and well lookedafter. Thanks.
Attentive service, lovely semi-open air surrounds and good food - all provided very quickly, leaving plenty of time to get ti the theatre. Great experience.
Great classic restauart in Collins street Melb. Mains around 40+. Not quite fine dinning but way above the average pub food I had a very good scotch fillet with sides potato and aspagus.
What a great atmosphere, traditional and yet inventive Italian cuisine. Served in professional and friendly manner in heart of Melbourne. Definitely I will come back. This is my second time at the restaurant, visited two years ago and it is even much better than before. My recommendation.
