Bottega Restaurant reviews
74 We recently held our End of Year Lunch at Bottega Restaurant Private Dining Room, and it truly surpassed our expectations.
The cuisine was exceptional, the service outstanding and the selected wines to accompany the meals were excellent, making the experience enjoyable for everyone present.
The Private Dining Room boasted delightful lighting which was enjoyed by everyone present and added to our gathering being a great success.
Without a doubt, we will be recommending Bottega Restaurant to others in the future.
Great food. The main course arrived literally within seconds of entree. Salt and pepper shakers removed from the table immediately the main course was completed. Felt as if we were hurried to leave. It was enough to dampen the otherwise excellent experience.
Fantastic little find just down the street from our accommodation in Bourke Street. Very helpful and informative staff. Menu choices were great, and the choices we made were seriously delicious.
Hidden gem!
food and service was fantastic and very reasonably priced with great atmosphere for a casual lunch before a show.will visit again for sure.
My wife and I had the pre-theatre meal and were blown away with the entire experience. We arrived a little early and were accommodated warmly. The food was exceptional, as was the wine. The staff friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back.
We love this boutique Italian restaurant in Bourke St Melbourne. It's menu is diverse and includes a pre-theatre menu which offers patrons the time to eat then get out to another event. The staff are really friendly, the food delicious and wine list excellent.
Really lovely place. If you’ve got a bit of cash to spend, I suggest splurging here. Service is wonderful; and indeed a rarity in this day and age. The wait staff are polite and helpful. Gorgeous ambience. Quiet and it only attracts other quiet people (thank goodness). Great location as well, perfect for a pre-theatre meal.
The food is presented beautifully and tastes divine. Portions seem small but prove you wrong, they fill you up just fine. Literally every single element is planned and seasoned to perfection, showcasing a very thoughtful curation of dishes.
Bookings are essential, so make sure you place a reservation before dining, especially Friday-Sunday. Anyone who is a fan of amazing contemporary Italian food should feel pretty at home here (:
Lovely atmosphere and very attentive service, considering the busy Saturday night. Delicious food and wine, very much recommended.
Had an incredible experience at Bottega, staff were professional and on point! Will be returning very soon:)
One of the best beef carpaccios I have had for many years. I would come back and order this for starter, secondi and dolce!
Lunch with old foodie friends. Followed up with Porcini risotto - seasonal Victorian mushrooms, black garlic + 30 month Parmigiano Reggiano, 250gm flat iron steak – (Gippsland, pasture fed, MBS2+), Mediterranean herb butter, rucola + aceto balsamico. The young waiter just here from Italy was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging - great service!
Bottega never disappoints. My last visit was with 19 of my closest friends, each of whom was very happy.
I ordered the pan seared Dory fillets, it was probably one of the worst fish dishes I’ve ever eaten, tasted like they had microwave the ones you buy in the box at Coles. It was very small. Partner ordered the Lamb. Whilst the meat was delicious way too much fat. Very disappointing. The only positive was the duck ravioli. We won’t be back
Food was amazing, wagyu carpaccio was outstanding! Service was excellent, especially Ellen, thanks for a wonderful experienc.
Best place for pre-theatre dinner in Melbourne by far. My wife and I have eaten at Bottega probably 20 times over the last few years and we have never been disappointed. The staff are all great and always remember our preferred table (thank you!), the food is consistently amazing and the pre-theatre menu is amazing value! Can't wait to come back:)
Bottega is back! A very satisfying dining experience with beautifully presented food that is well balanced and delicious. Service is friendly and efficient. A very enjoyable evening.
The pre-theatre service was not too rushed, but pleasantly paced. (As it sometimes can be). We will be back!
Service was friendly and attentive. Good selection of drinks. Disappointed by the quality of the food for the price. The pasta itself was overcooked, and the ragu tasted dry. Other items either lacked salt, or had too much salt (the croquettes for example, while tasty, really needed some sort of accompanyment to offset how salty they were).
Attended Bottega for our New Years Eve Dinner. It was a four course, fixed starter, choice for other three courses menu.
The Food and Service was outstanding. We could not have had a more enjoyable experience and I could not recommend this Restaurant any higher.
Thank you All for a great night.
Had an awesome lunch here on Saturday. Started with the wagyu carpaccio (my all time Bottega favourite) and then had a delicious rabit agnolotti for main.
Very relaxing long lunch with a casual vibe and excellent service.
Excited to come back again soon.
The food was lovely. The decor is also very charming. However, we dd not appreciate having a waiter come up to our table and tell us very brusquely that 'the restaurant is now closed'. If you are not open beyond 10 pm, I suggest you say so. I also recommend you train your staff in how to engage customers. It spoilt a pleasant evening.
Rabbit pasta prob the best I've ever had melts in your mouth full of flavour. Steak was tender but nothing special, rest of the food and side dishes very average. For the price, probably would rather go elsewhere for fine dining.
