Bomba Tapas Bar and Rooftop Spanish Restaurant reviews
73 Great place to head out for a bite to eat.
Mid to late evening is the busiest time to go. Worthwhile getting a booking if headed there around this time.
Great ambience. Great selection of craft beers and interesting cocktail options. Food was also pretty good - try the squid and chorizo!
Bar and rooftop is a nice hangout area, but I would try not to go there afterwork (specially on Fridays) as it gets way too packed.the food is really nice (but mainly fried items)
I have had an enjoyable evening here with my wife, though the next morning is a different story. Both of us loved the Sangria and had the $55 tapa menu. Sadly I guess I must have had some bad seafood since less than 12 hrs later I am throwing up badly. My wife is in luck since she went with the vegetarian option.
Not sure if I would recommend this post dinner experience.
So loved the sangria, loved the service. But will never go back due to this experience. Paid close to $200 but am also unable to attend F1 GP today.
Edit: Bomba staff reached out and was understanding and considerate. +1 for after sales
Great little place for a relaxed drink and some nice food. Not the greatest view in the world but it is in the middle of the city so that is to be expected
Amazing food as usual, I had the banquet which was very well proportioned. My favourite place for Spanish cuisine, great service, atmosphere and most of all high quality food cooked with passion.
Great place & I’ve been there a number of times. BUT. My friend & I shared a plate of the school fried prawns. We both were throwing up 12 hours later. I messaged Bomba & never heard back. Nothing at all. I didn’t ask for anything either, I simply wanted a well liked bar/restaurant to be aware of an issue. For such a “professional” restaurant, we were bitterly disappointed. My group & work mates haven’t been back since.
Food good for a tapas bar and worth going. Rooftop bar was mostly covered in and really hot on the hot night I went there. Might be better in winter and at a quieter time, otherwise, head downstairs.
Service was great. The waitresses explained in detail the meals and were accomodating with our requests.
The food was excellent. I would definitely go back for the bone marrow. The Paella took longer than the other dishes however, this was communicated to us at the beginning so we were not troubled.
Nice venue and delightful staff. Eclipsed by the discovery of Salted White Peach Sour beer by Garage Project! Oh My Wow!
Full of suits, very loud (from talking not music) and even though beer list is above average, its super expensive still
Ace spot, great views, lovely open air bar, excellent beers on tap and seriously brill staff. We'll be back for sure
Great Spanish restaurant in the Melbourne CBD. I had a working lunch and a glass of wine, reasonably priced and all quite delicious. Worth a look in.
Note the rooftop bar is not open all of the time when we were there at lunch today. Not a downside, just something where I missed out on some sunshine at lunchtime!
