Bistro Thierry

Had dinner here for a birthday celebration and we had the most fantastic time. The service was impeccable which made the whole night more enjoyable. We really loved the food, especially the desserts. Will definitely be back again!

Despite the traditional French culinary commitment to animal cruelty, Bistro Thierry put on an exceptional vegan spread.

I commend front of house on an authentic atmosphere which left me emotionally immersed as both a part of the Bistro family and a vague inconvenience due to dietary requirements.

The food provided an array of sensory delights for the plant-based aficionado, well worthy of their premium.

Could not see five stars here. But it is nice, the French ambiance there the food though is average. However, the price is average too so it fits.

I recommend the steak tartare because I like the spicy kick the chef gives it, prawns were pretty tough, and the mains weren't working for us.

If you haven't been to France or been served up authentic home style French cuisine, you will probably like it more, it does fall a tad short of the real thing.as to be expected.

Food was phenomenal and cooked well, would give 5 stars although the quality of meat was quite average.

This place is now an iconic landmark in our little village.
The food is great, the service is both professional and friendly - and you leave here feeling good.

Had a great dinner at Bistro Thierry. The ambience and decor were a huge highlight and the food was exceptional. Great french onion soup and steak tartare. Mains we has duck confit and entrecote. Friends had pan fried snapper and the Beef bourguignon which was absolutely amazing. Definitely on my menu list for our next visit!

Staff were very accommodating and spilt our onion soup to two smaller portions so that both my partner and I could have some as well as share the beef tartare. I thought this was a very nice touch and something that they didn't have to do at all but was very appreciated.

At the end of the meal we finished with chocolate souffle and creme brulee. The prices we very reasonable and together with sparkling water, red wine and coffees we thought that the meal was exceptional value for the quality of cooking. Definitely worth a visit and we will be back

I ordered a fish dish and to be honest it was only okay. I've tasted much much better. If they're going to charge that much for food then it should be spectacular. The only noteworthy thing about our experience was the chocolate souffle which was divine. But I won't be returning just for that.

Great food and wine selection, friendly and attentive service, paired with a quirky French bistro inspired interior and playful atmosphere. The best lunch I’ve had out in ages.

Bistro Thierry is always fantastic. We try and visit whenever in the area but it's highly advisable to book. The food and wine choices are superb. A little bit of France in our own town. Staff are friendly. Plenty of parking in the local area. The French Onion Soup and Beef Bourguignon are my favourites but my guests also stated their meals (Fish, Escargot, Lamb) were also superb. Will be back.

Beautiful french inspired cuisine and lovely ambience. Wait staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. This made out special occasion so enjoyable. Cudos to all at Bistro Thierry. We will return.

Very disappointed. Ordered escargot, onion soup and steak -frites. Worst was steak that was way too charcoaled, bitter is not acceptable but rude waiter said that’s what we ordered. NEVER AGAIN.

In spite of adv.speaking of ambience of this restaurant, we found the waiter to be indifferent and rude. One of the drinking glasses was chipped and when mentioned it was silently grabbed and removed. No apology of any kind. Plates just ‘dumped’ on table but bread plates missing. When mentioned it was ignored. Bread put on table cloth and charged for without being requested. Had feeling because we were not big drinkers they had no interest in us and showed it with blatant rudeness.

We had a very disappointing expereince at Bistro Thierry and shocking customer service.
When I complained I was told that they never want to see us again at the restuarant.
We have been customers of this restaurant for many years and were never told that they had introduced a minimum of $100 per head on Sunday early evening.
After ordering the meals, we were then told that there was a minimum charge $100 per head. We were shocked and upset.
The rude manager did not accept that we were not told about this and insisted that someone told us when the booking was made. This was not the case.
We would have liked to get up and wallk out except we had our elderly mother, aged 94, and that would be too difficult.
I rang to complain and was told that that was their policy and they didn't care.
In fact the general manager, John, was exteremely rude and told us to never come bakc again

Very rude people. Wanted out table back quickly. Rushed to serve us and then abused us as we left when we complained.

Delicious French food, we walk in, fully booked, but friendly staff find us a standing table to sit. Strongly suggest booking.

The staff are friendly and attentative, the food is delightful and the atmosphere feels like Paris.

Authentic as you can get, great service and even our kids loved it. Will definitely go back for more.
