Bimbi Park reviews
74Bimbi Park was amazing! Great sites, very spacious and in the middle of the bush (we had no phone service - which was also nice for a few days!), friendly owners and loads of koala’s hanging around in the trees. Every Sunday and Wednesday they organize pizza and movie night, which was good fun. Nice pizza’s and outdoor cinema with family movies! Plenty of things to see and do around the park as well.
We were very fortunate that reception fit us in at the very last minute. We spent the day touring and wanted to go and see the Cape Otway Lighthouse the following day and came in late in the afternoon. My husband went in and spoke to reception, which he said they were very friendly and accommodating.
We were put in the overflow camping area (unpowered) and warned us that it would be busy as it was definitely a busy time (Dec/ Jan). We found the facilities absolutely fantastic - showers are really hot too!
The camping Marshall in the overflow camping area was working his absolute butt off to ensure he could accommodate for all campers.
We met some very friendly people near us also.
I don’t understand why there are negative comments regarding service. And as for charging $1 for a 3 minute shower, who cares! At the end of the day, they are operating a business and want to ensure the facilities are looked after by caring people rather than looters.
Nothing but good things to say and we will be back if and when we come back to the area.
Keep up the good work!
I also like that you’re fighting back against negative reviews to stand and uphold your business and business name!
We stayed at the campground just one night during the roadtrip around Cape Otway and we were surprised of the facilities high standard. Toilets and laundry are modern and well maintained and the camp kitchen is specious and cozy so you can cook and warm yourself especially during the rainy evening.
Bimbi Coins needed to take a shower - easy to get at the office or in the machine next to the toilets.
Highly recommended this camping!
We stayed in the eco cabin over the Xmas period, which was so clean and new. Everything worked so well, especially the shower! Some helpful advice from the managers, we had heaps to do. Enjoyed a camp fire, spotting koalas, hiking, exploring different beaches, an E bike tour and just relaxing. Not your average camp ground. Thankyou!
40$ for unpowered campground, no drinking water, you have to paye to have a shower and with special coins only delivered by the office, camp kitchen and amenities very far from camping ground. Not a very good experience
What a great place to stay, definitely where the forest meets the ocean. Clean, comfortable and very hospitable - will definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay.
Staff not gentle at all and we were supposed to have a powered spot while it was not working. Not recommended at all.
LOVED THIS PLACE amazing wildlife and surroundings. Amenities are absolutely great! Would highly recommend. $25 per night two people in unpowered site.
Bimbi Park isn’t only an awesome campground with great facilities and activities, but also the customer service is probably one of the best I have ever received. I forgot my clothes in the shower and noticed it way after we have left. The owners were so kind and generous to send it to me. If I will ever be back in the area, I will for sure stay at Bimbi Park again!
We had such a great stay at Bimbi park! We decided to travel the great ocean road without many plans in place. When we couldn’t get any accommodation elsewhere, we stumbled upon Bimbi park and they were humbled to have us stay! The owners are SO lovely, and the park is so peaceful, with many other likeminded travellers. Unfortunately we’re at our next destination, and keep wishing we could have stayed longer at Bimbi.
We have booked a standard cabin and after reaching there got a free upgrade to deluxe cabin. The stay was amazing and the place was peacful. We had a memorable trip would highly recommend if someone needs a relaxing peacful time with nature.
All common facilities are very good: camp kitchen well equipped, tv room/ library, sanitary. I would suggest a heating system in the sanitary. Pitches are ok too in a nice park with animals.
We paid $30 per night for a powered caravan site for two people. It's a bush camping site so they are tucked in around trees and the ground is a bit uneven. The amenities are good and very clean. You have to pay $1 per three minutes of showering. Lots of walks and other activities to do onsite. We saw a koala up a tree a few meters away from our caravan.
