Bimbi Park reviews
74We loved it so much we decided to extend to two nights within a few hours! Couldn’t recommend enough - peaceful, remote location, abundance of wildlife including many koalas, birds, horses, kangaroos, possums etc.amazing staff and great location to get into Apollo Bay. Good facilities, showers limited to 3 minutes per person per night but can buy extra for 1$ so not bad at all and was very happy to. Thanks for the most memorable time, a highlight of our GOR trip!
Thanks for having us, brilliant host. That's enough suckin up Kat, see ya, s soon hopefully.
It would be a great park if you want to get away from it all. A bit basic and wi-fi very patchy.
The receptionist was wonderful and made up for the short comings of the park. Ablutions very basic.
Wonderful location and thoroughly enjoyed koala spotting. Only down side was site very unlevel and lack of fresh water.
Thanks will recommend
When we arrived we were told by office staff of a location to set up camp. No marking or site number. While setting up, other campers came along and said it was their site and we were in the wrong location, so we had to pack up and move. Paperwork and booking was in wrong names and wrong address's and wrong amount of people booked and then wrong amount $$$ charged.
Beautiful location, free mini golf, scouts put on coffee and cakes, great toilet and showers
The location itself is stunning! And we saw 4 koalas in one day. Close to some beautiful walks and attractions. We had a bit of car trouble when we were leaving and the staff were so helpful and kind! We really appreciated their help. Highly recommend a visit to Bimbi Park!
Love Bimbi park- back to nature still with creature comforts. Seeing koalas, echidna’s, wallabies & heaps of birds was amazing.
Gorgeous campsite set among the gum trees, very well maintained and clean amenities. I really feels like you are immersed in the wildlife around you, with Koalas and birdlife and around. Stunning walks right from the campsite. A stunning place to spend a few nights - I wish we could have stayed for longer than 1 night - it was a very hard place to leave.
Beautiful park, great size sites, we were next to the kids play park which was perfect for our young kids. Lots of wildlife
We were free camping and had the Emms site which was surrounded by bush (complete with Koala) and good distance from other campers - found toilet block only 100 metres away up the track and water which was a bonus - whole park very family friendly and a gorgeous spot. Walk to Section Beach a bit harder than we'd planned but we'll take lunch with us next time. Can't recommend highly enough - we had a wonderful few days and will definately be back!
We had the most amazing camping holiday in a beautiful part of the country. Eating breakfast amongst the koalas was pretty special. Everyone who worked at Bimbi park were incredibly friendly and helpful in making sure we had a great time exploring the surrounding areas as well as Bimbi park itself. Will definitely go back again. Thanks ️
Great stay at the park! Nice and clean caravan, heaps of space outdoors, beautiful surroundings and very pet friendly! Wish we could stay longer
What a great park in a great location. The sites are good, the staff are so helpful and willing to engage with you. The amenities are quite impressive. There are koalas around the park if you go and look for them and the park is within easy distance of towns and sights on the Great Ocean Road such as the 12 Apostles and the lighthouse. If your looking for more natural surrounds pick this one.
Such a great place to stay! From family to solo trips, the family at Bimbi park are so attentive, love a banter and make your stay very special and welcoming.
After showing my mum around the great ocean road, I’m looking forward to doing a solo trip and will definitely stay here again.
Thanks again guys!
Beautiful park, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Heaps of Koalas, staff were friendly and pizza night was great
Great place to stay! Lovely owners who run the campground. They were very accommodating and gave us all the information we needed. We stayed in the Bush camp section which was lovely away from the main camp area! You can even hear the Koalas and night and spot them during the day.
My only comment for improvement would be the cleanliness of the camp kitchen, as the doors are left open so the kitchen is full of spiders, dead bugs, mosquitos etc.
Overall though a very enjoyable stay and will come again!
Fantastic stay at Bimbi Park. Kat was great with tips of places to see in the local area. If you want to see Koalas, they are here. On a short walk through the campground we spotted 7 of them and an Echidna. The cabin was comfortable, clean, spacious and well equipped. The shared toilets and showers were also clean and nice. A fantastic stay at Bimbi Park. Next time we will stay longer.
Beautiful Location and very friendly, caring people!
My friend and I booked only one night in Bimbi Park but we would recommended it 100%. We arrived at Bimbi Park very wet, because it was very rainy and we had to drive to Bimbi park with our bikes. The nice Girl on the reception gave us a room Upgrade so that we can take a warm shower! Because of the fact that it was still raining the next morning we asked for someone to drive us to the next town that had a Bus Station. The team was so friendly and discusses how they could bring us and our bikes to Appolo Bay safely. In the end they called their neighbour who brought us to the bus Station.
Thank you for your Help and Effort!
Had a great experience tucked away in a beautifully positioned camp spot for a few nights. The wild life is in abundance and we spotted 12 Koalas on our stay. Amenities are clean and campsites are spacious. Thanks to Kat and Frank for their hospitality
Very friendly staff. The mini golf there is a winner. So many Koalas around, saw one every day. Can't wait to go back.
