BIG4 Phillip Island Caravan Park

We enjoyed our stay here. We had one of the van sites on the Nth side that backed up to the swamp - easily enough room for the van, awning and car and pretty easy to get in and out of. Amenities were excellent and very clean. Plenty of space in and around the kitchen for groups and lots of different accommodation types to suit all needs. Just far enough off the road so that it was very quiet at night. Walking distance to good coffee, good pie shop and the Saltwater restaurant which was also very good. We were mid week out of season but it was still moderately busy with lots of traffic going across the bridge - I can only imagine how busy this place would be in peak times/grand prix times!

Well managed at this covid time. Pies really delicious. My husband says one of the best he has had.

BIG4 parks are usually up to a certain standard but unfortunately this one was quite a let down. The whole place needs to be updated as it is not in as good condition as the pictures.
Our delux cabin featured a shower with very intermittent hot water. It became so bad that I showered in the parks amenity block instead of using the cabins shower just so I could have 5 minutes of running hot water.
The only item our kids enjoyed in the park was the jumping pillow (games room was rundown, basketball hoop was old and needed fixing, no pool, etc).
Fortunately the beach was a very short walk but if we come to Phillip island again I would recommend somewhere in Cowes so closer to the action.

Great family friendly holiday park. Had the best time. All the public areas are so clean, with such friendly staff!

The location is strategically located at the entrance of Philip Island. Whether you're caravanning, camping or glamping, this is an excellent option for visitors of Philip Island. Kids will be entertained in the playground. There is also a jumping cushion and a game room. There is also a communal kitchen for all your cooking needs. The cabins are small but all basic amenities are there.

A great big 4 park with plenty of accommodation available, close to the beach as well. I was only visiting family there for a day.

Clean facilities and friendly staff. Only thing I’d change is the vending machine in the kitchen which has an annoying 2min video on repeat 24/7

Excellent park, clean caravan site, pretty level, lovely new ammenities, I am a disabled person so it is nice to have a ammenities block that caters for us.
The beach is only a five minute walk, our dog absolutely loved it, it was his first time on a beach.
San Remo is just over the bridge, and that caters for all shopping.
Really enjoyed our stay, nice and quiet at night even tho it was pretty busy

Very bad Management. They gave me carven place instead of camping sight.pictures shows different between camp sight and carven. I spoke with reception lady.she wants to move it after I complaint.

One of the cleanest facilities I've ever experienced at a caravan / camp park ever. My whole family really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back again in the future.

Great prices, very clean and homely. Wonderful and helpful staff and what a location! My family loved our stay and can't wait till next time.

The bathrooms are amazingly clean.

One of the more average BIG4 locations. Sites weren't the biggest and there's very little space between sites, and vehicles on the internal roads. Poor lighting once it gets dark as well.

Fortunately, the camp kitchens were well equipped and in good working order, and the pricing was alright given the age and condition of the park. Service was friendly and warm. The beach was clean.

What a hidden gem! We've driven past this park many times and never given it a thought. We were invited by friends to join them to stay here for a few days which we accepted. Boy were we surprised when we rocked up with our large rig and found very friendly staff who promptly booked us in. The sites we were given were beautiful, large, level and completely grassed with faux grass. Setting up was quick and easy with no mucking around with levelling the van. After a wander around we found the park to be well maintained and managed, the amenities spotless and an abundance of entertainment for the whole family. The park is nicely situated in a quiet and sheltered spot with easy access to a clean beach and an easy walk over the bridge to all that the village of San Remo offers. A quick walk across the opposite side of the road from the park there is a strip of shops with a bakery with good coffee and great pies including an amazing scallop pie. In all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this park and will most definitely return again, hopefully sooner than later.
