Booked this restaurant for lunch based on the menu that was available on the website. My wife and i are vegetarian and the menu showed 2 veg entrees, 1 veg main meal and a handful of veg salads so we thought there would be plenty for us to eat here. When we arrived we were told that it is a 'pop-up' restaurant (!) and as such that the menu is reduced and not what is shown on the website. The 'reduced' menu had 3 entrees, none of them vegetarian, 1 veg main and all salads had been taken off. We asked if the chef could do any sort of veg entree given the circumstances but were told no. Pretty disappointing given that upon booking you are threatened with a $50 per head charge if the booking is cancelled within 48 hours but no mention that the menu is nothing like what is on the website. Also disappointing to subsequently read reviews from mid November on the open tables website with the same complaints. So the owner has had 6 weeks to change the menu on the website but cant be bothered. That shows me the regard they have for their customers and i wont be eating here again or their sister winery, Fergusons.
The food itself (we had Gnocchi) was very good and came out in reasonable time and the service in general was also good so no complaints there but overall not a good experience considering the dozens of other wineries we could have chosen instead of this one.

Let me paint you a picture. You are served on arrival by an amazing waitress who sits you under a beautiful tree on a summers day looking over the incredible vineyard at Bianchet.

After ordering your first drinks, you are told the chef had just come back from sourcing fresh local produce. Which leads to you being delighted to taste the delicate flavours of your Kingfish and Beetroot appetisers.

The team at Bianchet have done an incredible job providing a wonderful experience in the Yarra Valley. It is clear that their food and produce are treated with upmost respect and care.

Thanks to the team for having us, can't wait to visit again soon!

Knowing only a pop up pizza and pasta menu was available my expectations weren’t high.
Arriving to a very un maintained building and facilities, filthy stained dining seats and seating with no view of outside was disappointing.
At the very least buy some new seats.

I went ahead with the $35 wagyu beef bolognaise. Thinking some nice shredded beef and pasta might hit the spot. Receiving a standard spag bog with a single 50 cent piece of beef was insulting. It was oily and overall something I would expect from a cheap pizza joint.
I washed it down with my $15 glass of red, which I had to remind them I had ordered, and that was as far as I went.

Overall it was a very underwhelming experience. It felt like an old Sofia’s with a huge Covid tax.

Would not recommend with much better venues in the area.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Sara and the team at Bianchet Winery for a wedding event, and I cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional service and experience they provided. From start to finish, Sara's professionalism and attention to detail were evident, making the entire planning process a breeze.

The venue itself is nothing short of breathtaking, with its picturesque vineyards and charming ambiance, providing the perfect backdrop for any special occasion. Sara's expertise in event coordination ensured that every aspect of the celebration was executed flawlessly, leaving both the couple and their guests in awe.

Throughout the event, Sara's warm and welcoming demeanor made everyone feel at ease, fostering an atmosphere of joy and celebration. She went above and beyond to accommodate any special requests and ensured that every little detail was taken care of, leaving no room for worry or stress.

The staff at Bianchet Winery were equally impressive, providing top-notch service and hospitality to all the guests. The seamless coordination between the team and the event vendors, including the entertainment provided by SIFA Events, contributed to an unforgettable evening that will be cherished by everyone involved.

If you are considering hosting an event at Bianchet Winery, I wholeheartedly recommend working with Sara. Her dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence shine through in every aspect of her work. It is evident that she genuinely cares about making each event a memorable experience for all.

Thank you, Sara, and the entire team at Bianchet Winery, for making Dani and AJ's wedding a resounding success. Your hard work and dedication truly paid off, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you again in the future.

Had a wine tasting followed by lunch and it was all absolutely magnificent. My wife and I ordered the croquettes and calamari for an entree followed by the pork belly and snapper for our mains. It's obvious that all of the produce has been well researched and is of a high quality. The flavour pairings were excellent and complemented each other perfectly. Sarah was a wonderful server who knew her menu and was able to provide her expertise perfectly. I cannot recommend a lunch here highly enough! Couple this with a wine tasting and you're sure to have a great afternoon.

Went to the Bianchet cellar door while on a road trip with a friend. We hadnt been before and went after driving past. The wines were lovely and the owner was extremely welcoming. The wine is on the higher end of pricing. But the taste is worth it, especially the Cabernet Sav. The tasting itself was generous, offering many options.
Definitely worth stopping by. I will definitely be back and also seeking out their wines in future.

We recently celebrated a special Birthday at this beautiful Venue.
Sara, the Venue manager, was a pleasure to deal with, Nothing was to much trouble. The food, wine selection, and the views were all perfect. The outdoor area under the huge tree served well for shade and relaxing. The staff on the day were polite and friendly.
Our Guests were impressed. Highly recommend this venue.
Thank you.

We attended a function and had the set menu, service was great, offered sparkling on arrival. Staff were lovely, nice private function area with heavy drapes to keep it private. The banquet menu has plenty of shared plates of food for the amount of people, we didn’t eat it all!
We were also given buckets of sparkling for the table, not sure if our host prepaid or if it was included in the banquet, they weren’t filled up in a hurry though and neither was the water. Nice food, it was an Italian set menu for the weekend. The antipasto was lovely, the third course was a fish fennel dish which was excellent, perfect spices and flavour.
Roast chicken with a grain, a pear and rocket salad and platter of roasted carrots etc plus parmesan fries. Loved the salad! The second course was a pasta, sadly a penne bolognaise which I found underwhelming for a winery, I would have preferred a slow cooked ragu with house made fresh pappardelle at the very least. Gluten free and dairy free attendees were given separate plates so dietary requirements are accommodated for. No dessert despite the online set menu stating 75 pp includes dessert- perhaps it is different for functions and we got sparkling instead or I am just mistaken? Overall a nice experience and I would dine again.

We recently got married at Bianchet and it was the most amazing experience ever. Sara the venue wedding planner is brilliant, so warm and friendly and accommodating. Nothing is to much trouble and it was a pleasure to deal with her from beginning to end. The chef is amazing and all our guests commented it was the best food they had ever had at wedding never mind the amazing cocktails! The venue space was warm and intermate and the whole night was just a joy.

AMAZINGGGG!
We had my sons christening here yesterday and I couldn't be more happier than I was. What an impression that the staff left on me. The chef amazing, food was just so yummy we have had everyone calling us today saying wow. The set up amazing, a beautiful elegant space & the staff well if I could give them an award they need one. If I had a business staff like that would be running the show. Could not fault it. Big thank you to Sara for organizing it all for us and making it perfect. I have already recommended Bianchet to 2 of my friends so hopefully we will be back for a wedding soon. We will defiantly be hosting all our future functions here! Highly recommend this amazing place. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH! PERFECTION

Good tastes, friendly staff, very petite cuisine which means three courses are a must. Unfortunately just soooooo noisy with all hard surfaces in the place. Everyone ends up yelling. Couldn't enjoy a chat and left with a headache. Sorry Bianchet.

Edit: the owner somehow can't wrap their head around the fact that I left a one star, and did so even though Melbourne is currently in a lockdown.
Yes I have dined, it clearly was not during lockdown, pull ya head out mate

Booked online… indoor table. Arrived and was told they only have an outdoor table. I said we booked online and even have a reminder of our indoor table booking… their response was sorry we only have an outdoor table. Why confirm a booking and make us drive all the way out there to sit outside in 9degree? So we left and had a lovely lunch with great customer service at another winery.

Wonderful professional and friendly service by all the staff for my daughter's 21st. Pre-event planning and execution on the day was carried out at a high level. Beautiful surrounds and a great place to celebrate an event.

The food is wonderful, ambience cosy and staff are very friendly and professional. BUT.it takes a very long time for food to arrive, so I suggest visiting only when you have a spare afternoon or evening. We have been on three different occasions; on the first occasion, our drinks were comped due to the hour-long wait for our food.

On the second occasion, New Year's Eve, we did not receive our main course until after 9pm and it took four and a half hours in total for five courses to be served. On our most recent visit, we arrived and ordered by 7.30, but our mains did not appear until after 8: 45pm. We received apologies from the wait staff but this seems to be an ongoing issue. The kitchen is very, very small but the bar area appears quite spacious. Perhaps the owners could look at redistributing the space in the bar to create a bigger kitchen and adding another chef to the mix.
