Beechworth Bakery Bendigo reviews
67 The Bendigo version of the Beechworth Bakery is quite satisfactory, offering the bakery 's usual fare with good service. Only downside was the not so hot coffee and grubby tables that hadn't been cleaned in a while. But it was a wet Saturday and they may have been busy
Still.
Went here for a late breakfast. Staff were fine, coffee was excellent. Only downside was it took about 10 minutes for the coffee and another 10 more minutes for the food to come out. Get those times down and it would have been 5 stars.
Busy as always.
We always go for the Ned Kelly pie, love the egg inside.
A place to stop for brekkie or lunch or even a quick bite before heading off to the mine tour- which is just hundred metres away.
Good brewed coffee. Or you can go for DIY bottomless tea/coffee (taste like inflight coffee) for $3.20
Coffee is bitter and disgusting. Milk burnt. Worst coffee I have had in years. Instant coffee would have been better!
Don't waste your money on coffee here.
We were in Bendigo for a wedding and went to the bakery for breakfast on Sunday. We ordered at 9: 40 am and sat down with our cup of tea and waited.and waited.and waited. Meanwhile at least 50 people had been served their meal and left. We were still waiting. It seems they were serving the takeaway orders first. My husband went to enquire as we had a 4 hour trip ahead of us and was told it would be ready in 5 min. 10 min later he went back and it was still not ready. He asked to see the manager and was told he was in Beechworth. We were prepared to wait a reasonable amount of a time on a Sunday morning but what is reasonable. The teenagers serving were definitely under staffed. There were plates and cups on every table waiting to be cleared so people could sit down. Needless to say we asked for our money back and went somewhere else. NOT good enough. We won't be going back and would not recommend it to anyone else. Seriously disappointed. It shouldn't take 1 hour to get a toasted sandwich.
You can get better pies at 7/11, unless you like 4/20 pies. Coffee was worse then my aldi pods I have at home. 14yr olds working behind the bar with 0 customer service. This is definitely not a "home town country bakery" more like a commercial bakery.
