Beechworth Bakery Bendigo

Beechworth Bakery has a very wide range of desserts, but also offers lunch options, coffee etc. Their coffee is good and their desserts amazing. Highly recommend for a sweet treat stop in!

The staff are excellent from my brief dealings at the counter, pleasant, smiling and polite.

However, do not purchase the cheese and bacon pie.inside the pie, it's basically a mushy looking gravy (doing gravy a disservice by calling it that) and the only taste of cheese was melted on the pastry on top.

No idea where the bacon was either?

I was visiting Bendigo for the weekend and was told that this was the bakery to eat at. The best.
Upon visiting the carpark was completely full, with 3-4 cars waiting behind me for a spot. After parking 2 blocks away, I walked in to see the line going nearly out the door.
It is obviously the place to be. As they say, always eat where it's busy, and places are usually busy for a reason.
I was on abit of a schedule so after all my effort I could not wait. And as such left empty handed, unfortunately.
I am though, very keen to go back at some stage, and actually try the food.

You are wrong to think that this is an ordinary bakery. You have to think of it like a cafe. There are lots of yummy stuff there

Pastries are amazing! Stay away if you are on a diet. Affordable prices, down to earth place. The service is a bit slow but overall I enjoyed my visit

If I wanted cinnamon on top of my hot chocolate I would have asked for it. The hot chocolate was nothing special anyway, nor was the vanilla slice. Probably won’t be back
Well thanks for responding to my review. Cinnamon on top of hot chocolate is not usual and I think if you are adding something like that you should say so. Please don’t try and make out that it’s just down to my unique taste buds

Didn't wait to get served as the lady serving my line was hopeless. The other line was moving 3 times as fast. Lost my business.

The staff, food and coffee are always great. The service is fast. One of the best bakeries in Bendigo region in my opinion. Unfortunately, the customers that frequent the place seem to have a lower than normal intelligence but staff do a really good job trying to herd them.

I'm a foodie and I always stop off at the Bakery when in Bendigo. Excellent service warm friendly staff and good old fashioned baked goods pies yummy, sandwiches, toasties and bottomless hot drinks

Very busy when my partner and I went. The pies we got (Ned Kelly being one of them) were delicious. We also had a bee sting, which was good, not my favourite though. Overall a really good experience, my only criticism being that it's a bit too pricey for what you get.

Busy place, perfect spot but not nearly enough parking with cars up on the grass. Def needed more registers open for service. Food was wonderful, looooved the savoury scone and vanilla slice.
Service was great, altho it was rather confusing when most of us lined up behind each other to feed into the 2 lines, but then others began to just line up behind one of the registers and so were served before the rest of us. This could definitely be managed better with all the space in the store. Clean amenities. Plus loved that the staff member was excited to give me a customer rewards card, so yes, I'll be back, love that

Tasted the German donut yummm! Coffee is beautiful! MY egg + bacon cheese toastie was filling and nice.
Nice staff and a very clean tidy bakery, toilets very clean too. Recommend to everyone.

Fine; probably better in non COVID times. I had a flat white (OK) and some carrot cake (excellent, if a little sweet for me). I'd like to come back for lunch sometime and try the pies

Great range of choices of savoury and sweet. Nice and spacious inside, and not really noisy which was great. Some troubles in getting parking but it was very enjoyable time.

This was the best pie I have ever had. Their biscuits are also amazing. Frankly, I'm a little worried that any other steak pie I have from here on out will be a letdown.

Overated cakes. Cannot understand why people go there. Service slow. Ambient - MacDonald's has more soul.

Wonderful tasting meat pies and the German doughnut with apple and custard was delicious. A great place to stop for a bite to eat with very friendly staff.

Over hyped. The lady at counter called Katrina doesn't even know what meat the sausage has. Also behavior is rude. We visited around 3pm on 3rd Jan 2021.

Beautiful pies. Wish I could have fitted in two but I had to make room for equally delicious German donut.

Fresh, fresh turnover is an indication unfortunately unable to sit due to covid and popularity of the place. Beesting to die for also good coffee
