I got my wedding dress from here and so many people complimented on the uniqueness of the dress and how it suited me so much. The staff members were amazing and knew exactly what they were doing and had helped me found the perfect dress.

I dont usually write reviews, however given my poor experience, I felt like I needed to warn brides going to this place. Given that my big day is less than 11 months away, I only went to a few places - Be a star bridal being one of them. Originally I thought the reviews were quite good - however noticed that some of the negaive reviews actually are the same person. Here is another one.

I recently went on a Saturday in September and unsure what happened with my appointment but the lady helping us was quite rude and dismissive of a few things.

Firstly, we werent really greeted when going into the store despite booking an appointment. Then after looking around, we had to ask for help and ask when we could start trying on the dresses. Gina (the lady assigned to our booking) didnt introduce herself, didnt ask me for my vision or make conversation wioth me in the slightest - it was almost "What dress you want to try on" and then tried to get me in and out as fast as possible. No customer care in the slightes.

At this point we felt quite awkward got a negative vibe from Gina. I will mention, there was another woman (Tanya) that was helping another Bride and she was super sweet - almost as if she was covering for Gina's lack of care or compassion. I really wish we had gotten Tanya as I didnt want to be there when Gina was assisting us.

There were dresses several sizes too small and despite liking them, Gina said they wouldnt fit me and put them back on the rack. Mind you, my dream wedding dress I did try on was a size 8 **at another store** but that lady went above and beyond to help me with my vision - she made it work, why couldnt Gina?

From meeting Gina, she didnt offer a smile or warmth and definitely didnt make me feel like a Bride. I almost felt like a chore and dont believe she is in the right industry in making Brides feel their absolute beautiful. There is a way to speak to people and she does not possess these skills. Even if I did find my dress in that store, I probably wouldnt have bought it based on all the factors above.

Like I said I dont usually write reviews anywhere as i tend to let things go - however I was quite upset and disappointed. I will give credit to the manager who called me after I asked for her employees names and apologised for the lack of care from her employee but its not good enough. If you have all these bad reviews about this one woman in particular - then I dont believe she has your organisations values and best interests at heart.

Tanja was incredibly helpful when I was purchasing my wedding dress. I had left dress shopping quite last minute and felt judgement when I had visited a few other wedding dress stores. I contacted Be A Star Bridal and Tanja was accommodating, taking her time with me even though I was unsure whether I would wear a traditional wedding dress or something more casual. She was helpful with choosing a dress that would suit my personality, casual wedding and body shape. I tried on a dress I liked but not loved, Tanja informed me they were having a dress arrive a week or two later that she thought I would prefer. Most bridal shops I visited made me feel a sense of urgency to purchase on the day and pressure to settle for a dress I didn't love just to make a sale. Not Tanja she really wanted me to be happy and find "the one" and that I did. Thank you Tanja for your honesty and help you made the experience positive and fun. And you were right I'm glad I didn't settle on something more simple I truly felt beautiful and myself and have you to thank for that. Bridie

I cannot recommend Be A Star Bridal enough! The ladies are so incredibly lovely and positive, and bring such a fun energy to the store! I cannot thank Tanja enough for her honesty, as it was what led me to finding my dream wedding dress! I'm looking forward to working with the ladies for all the alterations soon!

Beyond happy that I chose Be a Star Bridal for my wedding gown alterations. Gina & Tanja were amazing and created the exact vision I wanted. They listened to what I envisioned, set expectations for me and really made me feel like a bride.
I took my family along with me a few times, and they felt just as welcomed as I did.
My dress was sleeveless, and when I decided I didn't like my arms, the team added these beautiful butterfly sleeves - so seamless you would never know they weren't part of the dress!
I couldn't recommend Be a Star anymore highly - if I ever need alterations for another dress I will come straight to you!

I went in by myself to look and the ladies were super helpful. They had me try on many styles till I found my dress. As they are able to do alterations in house it was way less stressful.

The girls here are beyond incredible. It can be very overwhelming for brides to be when it comes to the wedding industry and anything that involves it but the girls were so helpful and warm that they help ease any stress involving your dress. I was very late to organize alterations to my dress but the girls was so welcoming and calm that I knew I was in good hands. I honestly would recommend these girls to anyone and everyone who needs their wedding dress altered. They are extremely well knowledgeable in this field and have such an eye for things you would’ve even initially notice.

So after having my gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown botched by a very well known bridal stores in house alteration team (only a few days before my wedding) I was freaking out. But be a star bridal came extremely highly recommended to me by many girls who have had the same thing happen to their wedding dress. I am getting married on Tuesday so rang them in a panic only a few days before on Thursday morning and they got me in right away at 11.30am. When they saw my dress they instantly knew exactly what to fix as the dress honestly did look incomplete from the other store. They did all these alterations within only a day and I picked the dress up today. They were extremely helpful, professional, caring and perfectionists which I loved. They were the first bridal store I went to who genuinely cared about making my dress look perfect for my big day. I was so beyond happy with the work they did and when I tried on my dress today it was PERFECT! They did beyond what I imagined they would. Their work was immaculate and I’m so glad that I can now sleep easy before my wedding knowing that my dress will be perfect on the day. Thank you so much again your store has literally saved the day! I’ll be recommending you to everyone I know.

They had a beautiful selection of gowns, including a range of styles, sizes and prices. I was able to find the perfect gown for my special day and Tania and Gina worked quickly to make sure it fit me perfectly.

I felt that they truly cared about making sure I was completely happy with my dress.

I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for their dream gown.

Thanks to Gina and Diane at Be a Star who helped me with alterations just a few weeks out from my wedding day. I broke my foot quite badly and was recovering from this when I organised my alterations. They were really attentive throughout the whole process and ensured I was comfortable and also managed to stretch the timeline out a bit so that we could get the best result possible. Would definitely recommend. Wonderful customer service and genuinely helpful!

Fiancé went here to get her wedding dress altered, she left the house full of positivity and excitement but returned with the saddest devastation because of how she was treated at this shop by one of your staff members.

Diane was so amazing and patient. The dress makers here have so much knowledge and they are not interested in selling you a dress, they are genuinely trying to help you! Could not recommend this store more!

Tania, Gale and the whole team worked on short notice for my wedding and did an amazing job, they did a few amendments and tailored the dress to my comfort and style. So great to have this experience and these ladies certainly know their stuff when it comes to alterations. They have a great range and I cannot recommend high enough. Big thank you!

Paid for alterations. On the day of the wedding got pricked by needles as the tule hadn’t been cut back but was pinned. Pulled threads in the dress before I even left the room. Main owner Wouldn’t offer refund for the alterations and got pricked by the needle for the whole night! Bad service and won’t ever forget my dress got wrecked before I got to church!

WOW is an understatement for the amazing alterations and dry cleaning that my wedding dress received at Be a Star Bridal Cheltenham. I’m so over the moon about the quality of the cleaning and pressing of my dress, it looks brand new again. Thank you!
