Bay City Burrito

Gorgeous place in St Kilda. Food was amazingly fresh, tasty and well priced. The mood and the music was on point. Staff were attentive and friendly. The customer service was on point. Only thing I could really fault and it isn’t a big one. The size of the table for two just felt a little small. Other than than this, I 100% recommend giving Baycity Burrito ago. If I didn’t live in another state, this place would be someone I’d keep returning too.

Used to be better? ! I used to love this place, this time the food was good, but not great. Still a fun place if in the area.maybe I'll try something else next time.

As an Asian, I don't know how authentic Mexican they are but the foods are generally good. We've ordered popper, fish tacos and a giant burrito. The fish tacos are the best, highly recommended!

The reason I rated 3 stars are because of the service. My girlfriend and I were terribly starving after the comedy show. We have been left for so long like almost an hour after we ordered. When we checked with a waiter about the foods, his attitude was really bad. And now I have to comfort my girlfriend for the rest of the night!

Amazing vegan burritos! Came here after a day at the F1 in Albert Park and we were slightly hesitant due to recent views about poor flavours and service.

But we had a great experience, I had the jackfruit chimichanga burrito and it was so delicious, as was the cauliflower popcorn. Maybe the meat options aren’t as tasty but the vegan options were full of flavour and really enjoyable!

It would be dangerous if I lived closer cause I would be down here like all the time. Love me a Lafajita and even a breakfast burrito does not matter what time it is. I tag them on insta with photos but no one replies, doesnt matter cause their burritos are awesome

Okay Mexican “fast food” joint. Good for take away but also they have indoor and outdoor tables to eat at.

Very cool. Melbourne's best San Fran style Mexican and one of my favourite Mexican eateries. And great staff.

Stopped here for a quick dinner. Service was a little slow. Enjoyed the Pulled jackfruit Taco and Enchilada styled burrito. Will try other foods sometime again later.

We had ordered buritto and drinks, surprisingly drinks was missing from the order.
The flavour of the buritto was not that great. I opted spice level as Nuclear but again surprisingly it was not all spicy also the flavours were missing.

It used to taste amazing in the past but this is the second time I am disappointed with the food.

Last time I was there the poor staff had to deal with the rudest anti masker I’ve ever seen. I heard he wanted to report the staff to management so I would like to say I witnessed this interaction. And the man was horrid and rude towards the lovely young female staff member who was nicely explaining he can’t enter without a mask but can sit outside. Staff are very professional and always helpful.

I/the 3 others I attended with really wanted to love this place but we just couldn’t. It was truly an awful dining experience.

Cons:
1. Poor presentation/sloppy food.
2. Cauliflower was stale.
3. Service was atrocious and the waitress got really angry because she was asked to cut a burrito in half.
4. The flavours were all over the shop. Chopped onion in nachos?

Pros:
1. Huge portions.

Would I come back? Unfortunately not.

Just because you have Mexican music playing, doesn't mean it is a Mexican restaurant. I asked for bean Tacos, they literally gave me taco and naked black beans with nothing on it! The chicken taco was nice

I also ordered the jalapenos and it just a battered jalapeno with weird cheese salsa inside. There's barely any cheese in it! And they didn't cook the jalapenos through properly. Honestly, don't waste your money here!

Also the white lady with pony tail has an attitude problem. I could pick it up from a mile away.

I'm adding to the response from this restaurant, I had to ask for the cooks to put something else on top. If I didn't ask for salsa this bean thing would be what you would get. You can't just call people misleading because they shared the truth about your food. I did say the chicken taco was nice.

Your response shows just how poorly you deal with unhappy feedback. Instead of suggesting new changes, you blame my customer experience. I didn't rate this to thrash your business. This is an honest review of the quality of your food, and customer experience.

Burrito's were great- had the Cajun and the Cabo both chicken. The cauliflower was a little lack luster and not enough sauce. Pricing was reasonable and the restaurants vibe was excellent.

I've been living here in Melbourne for three years and today I had the best burrito since I came here. The Bay city bomber is incredible

Amazing Cal-Mex style food with a great atmosphere and drink selection. We lived in El Paso, Texas for nearly 5 years and BCB was a refreshingly authentic and delicious experience, a must go.

There is a Lady that works there that is a middle age tattooed bogan that is just plan rude who thinks she owns the places!

The food was great, staff were friendly, but we didn't like that our meals were served separately. By the team the fourth person got their meal, the first two were done eating after installing waiting until the food was cold.

Honestly; I dont understand why this placd is well rated. Basically every other Mexican place ive tried in Melbourne is better. Chewy steak. Gross watery flavours. Burrito is literally 2/3’s just rice. Meat feels cheap and unappetising. Extremely long out of order wait today. To be fair I was warned, but why are other patrons that ordered after us all being served first?

Been a loyal happy customer for years, ordered takeout Saturday evening and it was by far the worst meal I have ever had, one dish being bad you think oh well that was a miss but all three dishes! The pulled pork quesadilla was literally sitting in a pool of cheese and just tasted bad and I had always thought you make some of the best in Melbourne but I guess that’s changed.
Second was the fish taco which was tasteless had no fish but heaps of pineapple so not sure if they mistook the pineapple for the fish.
Third order was corn on the cob, corn was stale and shrivelled however the taste was ok.
I feel upset and ripped off. Normally because I’ve had great experiences I would give you a go again but times are tough and I am just too disappointed to try again.

Food was good but don't get take away nachos. They are deconstructed and you put it together. Cheese in a tub doesn't work
