The problem is simple. Either there is a pond where you catch a fish in less than 2 minutes, more like less than 60 sec or pond/s where they seem to have no fish at all.

Nice place to relax and have a picnic and net a few fish if someone feels like paying a bit extra for them.

Beautiful location but very unprofessional staff especially at the Kiosk. Staff is young but very rude to the customers and even kids. Will never go again.

Such a great place to hang out with your friends and family, catch your own fish, get it cut and cleaned (if needed) and cook. All equipment including fishing rods, bait, bucket and gas-powered BBQ are provided by the super-friendly staff. You are also allowed to bring charcoal BBQ but you are responsible for dousing it afterwards and carefully placing the ash etc.in a secure bag before putting it in trash. They are very careful about COVID too, and hand sanitiser as well as sunscreen is placed in several places. They also have a small shop where you can buy snacks, sauces, ice etc. A playground for kids and a small private zoo for entertainment. All-in-all this is a great package and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Make sure you arrive early to grab a good spot

We had a great time there. The staff is very friendly. Fishing rod in different sizes are provided and the staff explains everything very well if required. You can bring your own gear. You are not allowed to throw fish back, you have to buy everything you catch. They clean your fish for free. Lots of tables and BBQ are available. The playground is fun for the kids.

Great day out. Kids really enjoyed it. Nice venue, very friendly and helpful staff, fun seeing the chickens wandering around. Lots of areas for picnics or to barbecue your fresh fish. Play area for children. Kiosk with icecreams and crisps. Several ponds stocked with fish that are incredibly easy to catch, thankfully, children were very excited to catch a fish. Staff clean and gut fish for you. If you are not cooking your fish there, remember to take an esky! Plenty of parking, clean facilities. Highly recommend.

One of our favourite place to visit in Melbourne on every holiday season. Fishes go straight on the plate after catching. A lot of shades and tables with BBQ grills everywhere. Kids also can enjoy play ground and farm animals after yummy fish plates.

Great place to take the kids for a few hours. You can bbq the fish you catch there. Just be careful what you catch - can't throw back and gets expensive quickly!

Fishing made easy!
If you are like us; holding a fishing rod for the first time and hoping to catch, then this is the place for you.
A good place and friendly staff to spend the day; fishing, bbq-ing, and enjoying the Dandenong Ranges atmosphere.
The mini golf area wasn't in operation when we went, however.
Be mindful, nonetheless, of how many fish you catch, as it can quickly get really expensive to pay for - you pay by the kilo, at different prices for different kinds.
The seating area and bbq grills require a bit of cleaning attention.

Sizeable property with a fish farm, kiosk, barbecues and a playground. They have everything needed to catch fish, though you're welcome to take your own gear. The caught fish is bought by the kilo, depending on the fish you catch. They clean the fish for free. (You can pay a small fee for filleting, should you not want to cook your fish whole.) Varieties of fish include Atlantic Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Golden Rainbow Trout and Brook Trout. The Rainbow and Golden Trout are tasty when barbecued and pan-fried. If you're far from home, you can buy ice to add to your double-bagged cleaned fish. The staff are super-friendly and polite. They offer assistance without being asked and aren't phased by repeated requests for help. Overall, well worth the modest entry fee to the park and the fish are worth every dollar. Will definitely be going again. One of the better Victorian small business to support! 5 stars for a great day.

Extremely good picnic outing for families. Super friendly, smiling staff ever ready to give a hand on your catch. It's worth paying for your catch in exchange for all the fun. Kids screaming with excitment on their catches, adults grilling and everyone enjoying the fishes. Must go for families.

I've been coming here for decades and I love it every single time. You can catch a fish, then watch the animals as you wait for it to cook! Great place for a picnic.

We purchased some trout to stock our dam over the weekend. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We were able to pick the fish up the same day we called. We will definitely recommend this place to our family and friends and we will be returning in the near future.

Over years we have visited this place quite a few times. The most recent visit, in Jan 2020, was a disappointment.

Maintenance and operations were clearly degraded a lot. Likely the business had changed hands.

Fishing farm as a local tourism destination is all about the experience. Unfortunately it's not good at all now.

On top of this, the prices were jacked up a lot.then they even scam on you.we were a large group, caught a number of fish for lunch. Afterwards we noticed we were charged a couple of Salmon - an even more expensive price. No one of us went near the salmon pond at all, and we ate all fish at lunch, no single one's meat was red.

Definitely not going again.

Perfect place for a family day out. Well fit out with a playground, BBQs and tables as well as plenty of greenery to set up own blanket. Big lake it s great for some more serious fishing while small ponds are well stocked up and you can be sure to catch a fish.
