Assaggini Wine Bar & Restaurant reviews
83We absolutely love this restaurant. Their service and food is second to none. We have also ordered home delivery during Covid19 and the food has arrived so quickly and still hot. Thank you Assaggini.
Just had a contactless takeaway delivery, arancini, carbonara, seafood linguine, really really good, the taste sensation we wanted, prompt delivery, and still hot. Well done guys, will order again. Happy to support local businesses. Cheers
Ordered from the new eat now menu, was so impressed with everything, especially the lamb ragu. Thanks for a great meal!
Stay at home Easter weekend did not disappoint with a delicious, hot, tasty dinner delivered. Arancini, spaghetti carbonara and seafood linguine. Outstanding
The atmosphere is wonderful, the decor beautiful and the service pretty amazing. Awesome wine list, and the food is fantastic. Looking forward to my next visit
We ran late for our reservation, panicing that the family dinner I organized to celebrate my newlywed Sister and Brother-in-Law would end in disaster; The staff of Assaggini came to the rescue with excellent service and great food making us feel welcome.
We came here because of the vegan menu. It didn't disappoint. So many choices and everything tasted amazing. I would highly recommend it.
If you are Vegetarian and got a big family/group, do no hesitate for a moment to plan your meal here. Totally loved the taste of food, ambience and the great service. Strongly recommended!
Great place, so many gluten free options and the food and service was great, we went in the middle of the day so perhaps quieter than normal, but the place had a nice atmosphere and feel.
Great spot and perfect for groups as they cater well for dietary requirements with a strong vegan menu. Liked it but didn't love it, very solid 4
Great place to relax with friends over a glass of wine while having a lovely dinner. The service 2nd to none.
We had high expectation for this restaurant as the online reviews are very positive. However, the food was bland (prawns and crab meat linguine, and arancini), while the barramundi was overcooked. Overall food is average and not worth the price tags. The service was okay though. Would not recommend.
The food is good value and the cocktails are delicious. The service could be friendlier especially when they suggest you tip them when paying the bill.
I’ve been their regular for last few months, whenever I want to try some foods in Mornington, they will be my first choice. A wide variety of drink choices, yummy Italian foods and beautiful hospitality. You feel like you’re in the middle of Rome! I highly recommend them for any gathering and catch up as well as dating romantic type of dates.
Food is ok, not terrible but not amazing. Pasta tasted ok but was cold. Service was not good. I wouldn't rush back.
First and last time here. Felt pressured from the time we arrived till the time we left, was asked 5 or 6 times within 15 minutes if we were ready to order as we were trying to chat over a few pre dinner drinks. We eventually ordered our food and were approached as to weather we were finished even though we still had food on our plate. I wanted to order coffee and deserts but was handed the bill which I did not ask for. Just gave up in the end and went somewhere else for coffee. Not an enjoyable or relaxing time.
We came here tonight to celebrate a friends birthday. Walking in the place was busy and had a great atmosphere, with a great looking bar at the back. In terms of food it was great, my mother said the Aranchini balls were the best she had tasted. They have a system were the food is brought out randomly so that everyone shares their food which was abit odd because everyone that ordered their meals ate for themselves and there was no sharing. So while others ate the rest of us just sat there with nothing in front of us. I think it's a system to make it easier on the kitchen, but it seemed to be at the expense of the customer. The other thing was that the gentleman who was serving us was rushing us the whole night. Balding with glasses on. It was something that we all noticed and considering it was a birthday it was disappointing. They were even packing up the furniture while we were still eating our meals towards the end. Overall great food, great atmosphere, disappointing service, but probably more for having a nice glass of wine for me in the future
Love this place. The food, service and atmosphere is always spot on. Love the share plates. It has an awesome veg/vegan menu too.
Excellent food and amazing service from Ellen the waitress. Went above and beyond to assure we had a great night
Treat your palette to some of the finest meals tucked away off Mornington Main. We ventured in on a Saturday night equally nescient to this little gems obvious reputation with the locals. Although without a booking we were offered an accommodating seat at the bar which we usually do not do, however the atmosphere was impressive, warm-welcoming and spacious. The salt and pepper calamari was well seasoned with a zesty dill aioli. If that wasn’t impressive enough, the pork belly jus had our son happy to help finish the brussel sprouts, the pork had a lightly crispy skin, was tender and an obviously higher standard than most. Likewise, the lamb loin was cooked to rare perfection and accompanied by a rich red wine jus that had soaked deliciously into the kipfler potatoes. The manager and bar staff were friendly and obligingly diligent. It’s not a stretch to say Assagini had the service and food to match earning a place in our top 10 for the peninsulas finest.
