Assaggini Wine Bar & Restaurant

Highly recommended. Booked a table for a late Sunday lunch to celebrate a birthday and it was the best dining experience we've had in a long time. Highly recommended. Excellent staff, food impressively presented, open and inviting atmosphere, and every plate from entree to dessert tasted absolutely brilliant. More than satisfied with their dedicated plant-based menu offering an extensive variety of vegan choices. Looking forward to returning very soon.

As we were unable to dine out we had the absolute best takeaway meal from Assaggini last Wednesday and voile here we are back again for another delectable Assaggini takeaway dinner!

Can't get 4 mains out at the same time (3 pastas and the lamb) - 2 people had finished by the time the other 2 got their mains. When we asked where the rest of our food was, 5 minutes after the first 2 plates arrived and were going cold waiting for the other 2, we were told it's Italian, you share.
Um, I'm pretty sure it's up to the customer how we choose to eat and we ordered shared starters and our own mains - it's pretty simple. Food was average, nothing special.

The food was awesome. Enjoyed everything we ordered. I can honestly say we had the best desert ever. The staff were very friendly and looked after us all very well. AAA+

Lovely staff and beautiful food, with a vegetarian menu available for those that prefer it. The chocolate brownie and chocolate mousse were incredible. Would recommend and will go back.

Perfect service everyone is so friendly and happy to see you. The meals are lovely and so tasty. What a great atmosphere created in the restaurant with a fantastic bar and seating areas. You are in for a treat coming to dine, do try some cocktails.

Lovely meal, pasta dish was to die for. Vegan menu options meant we could have a family meal together catering for both meat and plant based options. Would go back again.

Great service! Amazing food; fresh, quality ingredients treated with respect. Mocktails were also great palate cleansers and you MUST try the dessert. Not only a piece of art but something you will not forget! Great for groups or dates!

I have patronised this restaurant for four years, very disappointed with everything the day I took three friends there for Saturday lunch late in April. The restaurant looked very tired and shabby, the meal (seafood linguine at approx $38 each) was tasteless, the calamari was tough, the couple of prawns had seen better days, however the four or so mussels gave a bit of substance and colour to a very forgettable meal. Arrivederci Assaggini!

Great place for lunch. We had the Chef's selection for $58 pp which due to dietary requirements they glad accommodated our request.

The Chef's Selection consists of four course and there is plenty for everyone.

The staff were friendly and amenable to our dietary changes.

The food was well prepared and tasty.

Very reasonably priced. With drinks it cost us $78 pp.

Well worth a visit.

Great food and friendly staff. Just don't tell the chef that the doggy bag of Prawn Risotto we took home I had on toast the next day. Totally delicious but not how Chef would have envisioned their masterpiece I suspect

What a place!

My partner and I drove down to the Mornington Peninsula to celebrate our anniversary and we were so glad we chose to dine at Assaggini Wine Bar and Restaurant. I cannot highly rate this place enough for all my fellow vegans out there.

Being vegan, it can sometimes be a challenge to find a good restaurant with quality food, but Assaggini hit it out the park. The wait staff were very knowledgeable about the vegan menu, friendly and assured that all our dietary needs were met. The food was sublime, the vegan cheese platter is a must have if you are plant based and the pasta we ordered was al dente, delicious and wholesome. Very well priced for top quality food and beverages, we will be back to dine with you guys again when we are back in the Mornington Peninsula!

Saturday on the Easter weekend is not a public holiday, yes the Friday and Monday are, but Saturday is just a Saturday but still copped a public holiday surcharge on it.

This restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Visited with my boyfriend for our anniversary and the food is incredible. You honestly have eat there to understand just how good the food is. The wait staff was so lovely and helpful, they truly made the atmosphere.

Nice place, with a pleasant and inviting decor. Excellent staff, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. All in all I have to rate my experience of a Vegan meal at Assaggini in Mornington as Excellent and highly recommended. They also have a comprehensive Veg and GF, GFO, DF, selection. Something for everyone. So for a restaurant / cafe / bar that does not specialise in Vegan foods, but has a very good selection to choose from. They have surprised me for sure and smashed it out of the park. Well done.

Amazing food and service. Been a couple of times and are working or way through the menu. Haven't had a bad dish. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing quality with a lot of thoughtful touches. The service was great! And the atmosphere was lovely, the candles and soft music were lovely touches. Will be telling everyone I know how good it is here and I'll be back:)
