A delightful time with the most delicious cuisine ; the Italian cocktail matched the calamari entree perfectly. Lamb, barramundi, tiramisu, affagato… all absolutely delicious. Ambience … a big tick. Watching the bar man shake the cocktails was entertaining too! Couldn’t fault anything.

What an incredible Italian establishment nestled just off the main street of Mornington town. There is an upscale and posh feel to their decor which is paired very nicely with great service. The food served here are refined and well balanced both in terms of presentation and flavour. You can tell that the menu is very well planned by the chef and his team. Another plus here is that they have a huge selection of gin at the bar!

We had a really great meal last night, which was our first time eating at Assaggini. The staff were excellent, as was the music. As a musician, good music is very important to me, so I was very happy to find that you'd made sure that was top quality too.
The food was first class, one of the best meals I've had in Melbourne. It looked good and tasted good. There was more than enough to eat - I'm very pleased you don't substitute quality for quantity! We had the Valentine's Day menu and enjoyed every element of it.
We've not only already recommended it, but are looking forward to coming back again!

While the restaurant itself is extremely great to look at the size of the portions are very small for the cost. They are equivalent to an entre size. The fish was a medium size with nothing else on the plate for $38-$40. Very disappointing. The staff are efficient and helpful though. A pub meal is better value by far.

We had a beautiful meal at Assaggini. My husband and I both ate from plant based menu which was delicious and lots of choice. Our parents are from the normal menu and were also very impressed with the quality of food. Staff were very friendly, great service.

My wife and i came here tonight to celebrate her birthday and all i can say is WOW! The food was delicious and a huge special shout out to the very lovely and personable kristen (apologies if thats spelt wrong) she was knowledgeable and warm and seemlessly guided us through both the food and drinks menus and made my wifes birthday more than memorable

This place would have to be one of the best Italian restaurants in Mornington. The menu is well considered and the food is delicious. The staff are friendly and the decor is beautiful. So lucky to have this as my local. Highly recommended.

A lovely restaurant with excellence service and some of the best food we've ever eaten. We celebrated our parent's joint 60th birthdays here after being unable to celebrate them properly during lockdowns, and couldn't be happier with our choice. They also had no issues catering for dietry restrictions in our group. Highly recommended!

Just had two days off work from food poisoning from the seafood pasta. I barely ate any of the dish because the seafood tasted not right. I didn't ask for anything (no replacement, no discount, no free drinks) all I said was the chef should check the seafood because it doesn't taste right and the waitress was incredibly rude. After that the rude tall, brunette server went and mentioned it to the other staff and for the rest of the night we weren't offered any more drinks. My friends dessert was slammed down in front of her as well as the bill which we never asked for.
DO NOT COME HERE!

Attention to detail. Honestly from decor, music, presentation of food, staff service then the food. Every dish is cracker. The squid ink spaghetti is to die for. Legit best dish I've had in years. So good I had to get two. Pasta is made in house texture is on point
