Dr Nick Mulrenan is excellent! Friendly and open, very knowledgeable however honest if he feels a specialist opinion is needed. The reception staff are usually very helpful and polite as well!

I posted a review detailing my negative experiences here and now it appears to have been muted.it's only visible by me when I'm logged in and nobody else, so I'm posting it again. Other people deserve to know what they're in for if they visit this place.
The doctors are cold, uncaring, inattentive, tactless, no empathy, don't listen to a word I said, used a tone, give curt advice verbally, never writes anything down. They also don't believe patient symptoms. Their solution to everything is take a panadol. They need training in active listening, people skills and bedside manner. Doctors also go on indefinite leave for most of the year and don't tell their patients this. Very inconsiderate. There is also an unprofessional gossip culture. Doctors laugh at and gossip about patients with other doctors as well as receptionists, even within earshot of patients sitting in the waiting room.

The clinic is nice and everyone quite friendly. I rate 4 stars cos I'm not sure how the doctors feel when they have to work in a room with no window, natural lighting and see different patients for 8-9hrs.

I am a regular patient to this medical centre. However the new receptionist (An aged female) has no knowledge about the clinic and was very rude. I asked her the poster on wall says you have 2 new female DR specialist in womens and children's health enquire within or call but her the reply shocked me. She mentioned all our doctors see children there is no such specialist I showed her the poster but she had no idea infact she said to me what do you mean. She is rude most of the time, always on her mobile phone, dosent listen the enquires properly, last time she made mistake with my appointment. I would like to report her behaviour/carelessness to someone incharge it was not acceptable to not know what's written on the poster where it clearly mention to enquire within or call. This is my only reason I stopped going to this clinic since she is receptionist.

Not very helpful. If you in pain and don't have an appointment they definitely not going to help you. They might say "Sorry" and that as far as they go. Pations are just a numbers. There is no care.

Mary, the receptionist is exceptional.
She takes the time to understand peoples needs before just booking an appointment to see a doctor.
She goes that extra mile to help patients and arrange/re-arrange appointments.
Watching her in the office she is approachable, friendly, patient and treats everyone with courtesy and respect.

Dr Nick Mulrenan is one of the best doctors I've ever seen. He is really warm, friendly and relaxed but also very professional.
He has taken the time to explain issues in sufficient detail. He has given me a timeline/prognosis and kept me up-to-date with how the healing is progressing.
Highly recommend!

They don’t listen, they don’t care
They just leave patients in despair

They haven’t got any people skills
They just leave patients with their ills

We come to them with our health issues
Then we leave with tear-soaked tissues

The rudest doctors I’ve ever met
Doctors that I’d rather forget

Their performance is unsatisfactory
This is nothing more than a visa factory.

Very good quality of Doctors at this premises! The reception area is great and it is the first time that I experienced a sense of hospitality in a Medical centre!

The doctors are lovely and efficient here. I felt such a safe and reliable support system was at my fingertips when it comes to general illness or the more private and difficult to discuss matters. 10/10 would recommend

I wasn't going to write a review because I was traumatized enough by the 3 different doctors I saw there in my search for a new GP. But on 29th August I was in the office of a physician at Masada hospital who just informed me that he is not a GP, he specializes in pain medicine. For the rest of my health issues I must go to a general physician. I told him, you know I don't have one atm. The doctor mentioned me Acland St. Medical center. I told him I have been there already 3 times and No one will take me on as a patient because of the kind of pain medication I am on. He replied "curious, I have patients referred to me by the doctors there, who are on same pain medication as you". That hurt me much more then when I was refused there first by Dr. Judy Carman (more like Judge Judy then doctor Judy) because "morally " she and all the other doctors there, have a problem with prescribing opioids. Even after I assured her I have back up from pain specialist and Government Authority in place, she said I need to see a more "old fashioned doctor like the ones at Hennessy clinic ". I had no medication, was in indescribable pain, going through withdrawal symptoms for having to suddenly stop the pain medication and medication for PTSD and No one cared! I asked my NDIS coordinator for help with finding a new GP as my old one left the clinic where I went for 8 years. I was recommended by Mary, one of the receptionists there, two other doctors who don't have a problem with my kind of medication: Dr. Nick or Dr. Amir. Dr. Nick was totally rude, condescending, cold and judgmental and said he can't help me. I was crying and begging him, he said No and besides I'm going away for 2 months. I was devastated and humiliated. A week later I saw Dr. Amir who was lovely and told me "I can't help you, today is my last day here. I'm leaving the country "

I ask myself What is going on? !

I did go to Hennessy clinic only to encounter the same treatment.
On top of all of this Acland St medical refused to release the copy of my file to Dr. Syngler at Hennessy medical after I signed the release form.
Of course dr. Syngler booted me out and gave me copies of the release form and the reply from Acland St medical.

Now I was being accused for "doctor shopping ". I learned a new expression in Australian English language.

So, No I would Not recommend this medical center if you are a pre existing TAC patient and you are on medication they have "moral" issues with.

I have been told many times that "doctors can choose who they want to see or not". Ok, to some degree I understand that, but having said that I ask myself and you WHAT RIGHTS DO PATIENTS HAVE?

From my experience it seems people in my situation DON'T HAVE ANY RIGHTS AND NO ONE GIVES A BLOODY DAMN ABOUT IT
I would like an explanation why my head was chopped off even before I wronged anyone there?
The one star is for the Worst treatment I ever received in my life from 3 doctors in the same medical center. Is this the philosophy of the medical center?

You have added to my life so much unnecessary stress, distress and trauma and suffering and I don't know what I did to any of you to deserve this.

Dr Nick Mulrenan is honestly one of the best doctors I've ever been to. He is really warm, friendly and relaxed but also very professional. Most of all he really knows how to explain things well! He really talks to you about the causes and how to prevent illness rather than just giving you a medicine. I can't believe he is a bulk billing doctor. Highly recommend!

First time attending this clinic. The waiting room was clean and modern. Didn't have to wait for hours past my appointment time like other clinics. Doc was a really nice guy and well informed. And the consult was completely bulk billed without any sneaky fees. Usually will avoid doctors for above said reasons so this was a pleasant surprise! 10/10

Dr Khatibi was very unattentive and disinterested. Dismissed my concerns for one condition that I have a family history of, prescribed a cream for another that I insisted had not worked for me before and then said that we had run out of time after no more than 5 minutes and to go to a clinic or book another appointment for my other concerns.

Thank you. Convenient. Online appointments. Doctors spent long time with me. Listened and helped.

Low service, especially at the reception. They never read emails, they cannot print out invoices. Their doctors do not care about pre-vaccination screening, they even don't measure temperature. The only thing they perfectly do is getting your money.

I'm only giving a 1 as 0 is not an option. I experienced incredibly poor service at this medical clinic about a month ago.
With an aching foot, I called up and booked a Monday evening appointment with a podiatrist. I was told to arrive at 5pm for a 5: 20pm appointment. Running earlier than planned, I arrived at 4: 50pm and was provided forms to fill in. After I'd finished the forms, I sat and waited for the podiatrist to call me to his office. 5: 20pm rolls past and no word from the podiatrist. At 5: 45pm I decided to ask the receptionist if the podiatrist would be much longer. Turns out the podiatrist had left at 2: 30pm and no one bothered to inform me. I sat there waiting for almost a whole hour when the podiatrist had already left!
I was then told "I can see you're in pain at the moment, but there's nothing I can do but rebook you an appointment for Saturday". With an inflamed foot I was told to wait until the weekend.
They obviously did not take my pain seriously.
This was a shame because after asking to see the GP instead, I was provided a much better service by the GP. But unfortunately his great service was completely shadowed by the disorganisation of the reception. I understand it wasn't the receptionist's fault that the podiatrist had left early, but a little transparency and maybe just a little courtesy note of the podiatrist's absence would not have gone astray.
I won't be going back here. The St Kilda Superclinic provides a much more reliable service.

Dr Nick Mulrenan, very to the point and explains what I need to do in order to control my condition, medical student scored well learning off this champ. Recommended highly! Also the receptionist was short staff but still a super star!

I saw Dr. Azadeh Khatibi recently and was very pleased with her courteous and caring nature, I left feeling very informed and assured that I was healthy. Great clinic and facilities, will return. Thanks.

Efficient, pleasant staff and absence of poster stating 'we will not tolerate aggression' which in itself is an aggressive statement, albeit passive aggressive. Just remember anger covers up sadness and fear.

Some doctors are ok, others are terrible. I was misdiagnosed here, dr Sedeh asked me to go home and said 'it's nothing, just take a panadol" after I insisted many times there was something wrong with me. Turns out i had shingles and spent a week without treatment endangering my loved ones, my work colleagues, and the public in general. Stay away unless its a common flu.
