A Treat of France (Southbank) reviews
65Wow what an amazing cafe such friendly staff and food so awesome - wish we had found sooner in our visit. Thank you
A sad French toast.was told it would come with berries, came with small banana pieces instead. Can’t say much else.photo says it all
Chanced on this place and really loved the baguettes and Danish! Really delicious, baguette was fresh and crispy. They toasted it for me and took out!
Has the prosciutto baguette and blueberry Danish!
Reminder not to come here. The owners clearly have never been to France, nor have the population that thinks this is anything remotely French.
Good selection of pastries and toasted sandwiches. Small little place but good food and coffee. Reasonably priced and was close to our hotel. Would recommend
Great sandwiches and coffee at a very reasonable price. Gets busy for lunch time but you get served very quickly
A nice cafe for morning breakfast. They got some really nice tarts. Must visit place. The customer service is THE BEST.
Best almond croissant I’ve ever had! I’ll be back for their amazing selection of baguettes, everything made fresh and in-house. Lovely service and great prices.
Amazing staff and just the perfect place to start off your day with the best coffee you can get in Southbank!
Tried to order coffee and food here. I specifically asked to have something made without dairy as I can’t eat it and I am sure I made that clear. I was then offered a baguette that was pre made with the cheese pulled off of it twice. They did agree to make me something but after some back and forth. Clerk looked tired (it was a Saturday around lunch, might have had a big night before) and was rude about this requirement. Food came out and my partners waffles were noticeably burnt and the coffee didn’t taste like really anything, not sure how else to put it. I don’t get why this place is so highly rated, I barely ever leave reviews but here we are.
Delicious coffee, loved it.
Pastries are too good to try with coffee.
Very friendly staff members.
A video variety of cookies, donuts, sandwiches, vegan and vegetarian options and coffee. This place has everything to offer whether you're having an early breakfast or late lunch.
The quality of the sandwich is great, the coffee is good too.
They're usually busy. There's a toilet inside as well.
It's close to Woolworths Metro and a massage place.
I've tried three different vegetarian sandwiches and they're all tasty, vegetarian sandwich, scrambled eggs sandwich, and cheese sandwich.
Amazing freshly prepared food and brilliant banter. My work friends got me on to here and I'll be back on the regular.
I am so excited today to visit this Cafe just at the corner of my apartment. Great experience with welcoming staff and delicious food, absolutely love it! Will be back ~
Best bang for your buck cafe in Southbank!
Good coffee, excellent service, broad selection well done home made sandwiches, pastries and pies!
Great coffee. Very friendly service. The pastries are all very very good. I also enjoy the sandwiches for lunch.
Support your local businesses during lockdown!
This place have the best freshly baguettes and sandwiches. They do their own baking of baguettes in house. Their sandwich baguettes are flavoursome, fresh and filling. My favourite place for lunch. They also do assortment of sweet baked pastries, staff are always friendly and accommodating. Keep up the great work and hats off to the staff!
Walk pass last week, seen a couple of customers sitting inside eating and drinking coffee. Don’t understand their efforts of stopping the spread of COVID and now they’re exposed site now, karma has a loop.
Great Service, Great Coffee but today was disturbing. They made a ‘large skinny flat white coffee’ for a customer by mistake, handed it to the wrong customer, who innocently waited for his Soy large Skinny Flat White and when that was called as ready he advised them that they had handed him the wrong coffee initially. The lady’s whose order was ‘ a large skinny flat white’ refused to accept the returned coffee from the previous customer and they made her a new coffee. My order was for a ‘small skinny flat white’ which was two orders past the original ‘large skinny flat white’. The staff yelled, ‘small skinny flat white’ to which I responded but only to receive a ‘large skinny Flat white’. When I questioned it, the staff said, ‘oh we made you a large by mistake’. No they didn’t, this was the rejected coffee from the two previous customers, for whatever reasons. They did offer to make me a small serve but it was obvious that they just wanted to get rid of the coffee that they had just had rejected by two other customers. Really? You want our support but you also want to pass on rejected coffees in the current environment? Totally understand you guys are doing it tough with the current restrictions but don’t rip us off for supporting you. I left the building, threw it in the bin outside and won’t return, even though I live within the complex next door. Really disappointed after great service in the past that your staff would pull this stance to get rid of a coffee already rejected by two previous customers. Really disappointing under the current climate that we are all living in.
