Waffle On Cafe reviews
57Tiny tiny tiny portion for a $10 waffle. You are all trying to run a scam operation with this effort, what a big fat joke. Not to mention, the waffle looked as if it were put together at a kids birthday party by a child.
Good coffee once it got to the table. There was a 20 Min delayed delivery on 1 of 4 drinks.
We ordered gluten free and dairy free meals and made our waiter aware. He even brought out the chef to confirm details on ingredients. 1 meal came out with Hollandaise Sauce on it. Chef took it back and advised us "maybe ask for no hollandaise". We had already asked our waiter for no gluten or dairy, so I would think it's the staff job to pass this to the kitchen?
We also witnessed an adjoining different table (of 6 people) were asked for 1 of the 2 tables they were sitting at - WHILE THEY WERE STILL EATING. This reduced them to 6 people sitting at a table suited for 3.
Not impressed and not revisiting
Incredibly poor service, woman shoed out an uber eats delivery, so rude. And dont bother waiting! Told it would be a 10 minute wait, was still there 40 minutes later. Just go honey badger instead
Waffles were unevenly cooked, 1 end tasting like cardboard the other like dough. For a waffle place the waffles were terrible. Coffee I've had previously here wasn't great and was far too hot
Unpretentious, good service, great coffee and well located. This place must be heaven if you have a sweet tooth. Good effort.
Had a very good brunch here. Best breakfast in city to date. Customer service only average but may have been having busy off day. Definitely would go again
Very nice breakfast with a wide selection of options. Service is ok they are not rude but I think they could be a bit more smiley and friendly. Apparently they don't get orders at the table but you need to be the one to go to the bar to order.
The atmosphere of the venue is regular. Maybe a little more attention on the interior would give the last nice touch to make this place perfect.
Great place to start the day. Nice interior, friendly staff. But most importantly: good flat white (strong enough) and really tasty waffles! Sunny in the morning. Place to sit outside.

A wonderful breakfast. I'm very fussy with my breakfasts, not want anything rich or heavy or filling and Waffle On Cafe delivered a beautiful, refreshing tastey meal. The waffles were fresh and soft, and the runny egg yolk flowed over the waffle pattern filling up the recesses wonderfully. This was one of my favourite breakfasts. Service was good. It didn't feel like the meal took too long to be served considering the freshness of the waffles. Price to quality trade off was great. Will happily return.
Pretty good little spot.
Nothing fancy but the food was tasty
And reasonably priced.
I would recommend and I would go again.
This place has very nice staff who weren't afraid to joke around with us in between offering us the menu and drinks etc.
The location is right on one of the main streets of Hobart and it is near many notable sites (with parking right around the corner, which is practically free).
The pricing is a little bit on the higher side, and for the portions you get it's not the best value for money.
Regardless this place gets a good recommendation, you'll get a good feed, fun staff, but just not at the best prices in Hobart
Nice little cafe in the Hobart CBD. There is often a crowd which is a good sign. The waffles were great, as was the coffee. Would recommend.
Waffle On delivers great food with the gimmick of a carbohydrate element underneath the meal. One can take or leave the waffle and have a great food experience. Kudos to the wait-staff and the little cinnamon donut with the coffee.
Visiting from Melbourne, we met a friend for lunch. Enjoyed the lamb salad & chicken waffle.
The gentleman that severed me today was extremely kind and made sure I understood what was coeliac friendly and not. Definitely recommend!
Since moving here from QLD, Waffle On has been my most FAVOURITE cafe. Waffles are absolutely amazing I always get the fried chicken which is cooked perfectly), and the muffins are massive and the best I’ve ever had (raspberry and lemon curd changed my life). Also the Chai latte is honestly the best in the city in my experience. I have been here at least 10 times in the past 6 months and it has been consistently incredible every time. The staff is always friendly, and the cafe itself is warm and cute.
Waffle On has been our family favourite for years, whether it's coffee and a fresh cookie or lunch for 6 with waffles and milkshakes. Great service and good value. Always yummy. Especially the bacon.
A must visit for someone with a sweet tooth like myself.
A very cute little cafe and super friendly staff
We came in at 2: 30 when they were packing down but the staff were welcoming and took our orders. The food was delicious, well portioned and reasonably priced. We'll be back!
Wonderfull service and the food was just divine.so many options for people with alternative diets and dietary needs, as well as having both savoury and sweet options.love!
