Absolutely disgraceful, pool was not heated. There was no smoke alarm. The bed was on bricks as it was broken! The heater would not turn on! There was mold all over the curtains, and there was a used soap on the sink with a hair on it. Would not recommend at all!

I arrived at this "Hotel" on Friday for just one night.
The photos online looked beautiful and even had a pool, sauna and park for the kids.
My wife and I have 3 young ones and thought this would be perfect.
We arrived at 3: 30pm to check in, the room's floor was wet and mouldy.
We told reception and was told "it's fine, we just defrost the fridge on the floor"

I requested a new room as 3 of us are asthmatics.

The next room we were moved to had mould all over the windows and shower.
The doonas were covered in blood when requesting new bedding received 2 single doonas no covers or sheets.
And the main bed was broken down the middle. We had used sanitary items in the bin, reception told us it was either the cleaners or previous guests but would come remove them.

The reception staff informed us they simply don't have time to wash the bedding
We asked for all new bedding, just to be told the hotel doesn't have any spare and it was an unreasonable request

We went to check out the heated pool and sauna.
The pool was freezing! And the sauna is long gone.

We are a family of 5 and didn't even give us a room that we could cook food in and the bbqs area is that run down and don't have a gas bottle so you carnt have a bbq there and the restaurant was closed the only good thing is the gaming area and the pool even the spr wasn't that good run down

Cracked basin, smell from shower drain, had to ask for towels, no continental breakfast, fan noise all night from bathroom next door, wobbly toilet all topped off by noisy guests both nights we were there.

Absolutely dissapointing! This motel is absolutely discusting flithy rooms and the fact my 8 years old daughter found a smoking implement use for smoking amphetamine! Very appalling expeshly when the receptionist does not take this seriously and laughts in my face. I would not be staying here not safe for children and it's family friendly

My daughter and myself with my grandchildren travelled from Hobart to Devonport Saturday morning 7/3/20 for sports and travelled back to Launceston to stay at the family village when we arrived and walked into the apartment it was so undated the shower looked like it hadn't had a good clean in years stairs were so noisy at night we were sitting in loungeroom watching tv when the kitchen sink started gurgling and when we checked to stinch that was coming from it travelled upstairs to the bedrooms which was absolutely disgusting it made us feel so sick to stop the stinch we placed the plug in
Very very old apartments that definately need big makeover bed was comfortable and clean floor very uneven
The last time I stayed there was about 39 years ago if I was to wait again to stay there I know by that time I will be dead and buried sorry village family
motor inn you won't get me family or friends stay there again and the wifi doesn't work!

Room is quite big for family.
Restaurant and bar provided with limit opening time.
Just (-) drinking water, you need to buy from nearest convenient store which I suggest IGA coz we can't drink the tap water due tue dirty recycled water from lake area

Very dirty (possibly never cleaned) range hood due to which we could not cook, no hot water in one of the room, no iron box and staircase make too much noise while walking, beds are too soft causing back ache. Definitely not coming back again.

I wouldn’t put a rat in the shower as a house keeper and cleaner I was horrified mortified and disgusted by the state of it grime and mold all over it glass dirty as the drain hole Is clogged with god knows what and just the dirty ness of it made me sick! Leaving here with out showering As I worry about the germs the mold and so on in it and what I may catch from it as well as I’d feel More dirty after Taking a shower in that and the state of it I’ve taken photos and will be making sure the health department see them and the state of it! Other then the shower the rest of the room was fine but noisy. I will never stay here again or recommend for anyone to stay here and waste their money!

My grandfather was due to stay here but passed away unexpectedly the day before. My family asked for a refund on behalf of my grandma who was meant to be staying with him. They refused but offered her to stay another time instead. She is from nz so there is no way she could travel back to tasmania by herself to stay there. It just seems really mean. And during a time of tradegy we should be able to rely on community and compassion of others

I brought my elderly parents from new Zealand to Tasmania to visit my sister. We booked to stay here for Saturday 7th December. Unfortunately my beautiful dad died unexpectedly on friday afternoon. We rang to cancel on saturday and explained our circumstances. They flatly refuse to refund our money but offered to let us stay another time. I explained that we were fron new Zealand but they still refuse to refund our money. It wasn't a lot of money but as a family we are facing enormous Bill's to bring our dear dad home. I just can't believe that a company could be so heartless. It was a saturday so I am sure they would have been able to rebook the room. I don't know how they can call themseleves "family" village Motorinn. There ain't nothing family about this place.

Don't stay here if you value hygiene and comfort. The bed mattress nearly broke when we sat on it. There was a bug in the bed. The shower smelt and the toilet seat was damp. Needs major upgrades man. Just don't.

Absolutely disgusting. My Grandfather passed away the day before he was due to check into the VFMI. VFMI has refused to give my family a refund on the booking as we did not meet the cancellation policy for Dec (3 days notice) Unfortunately we can not predict the future, had we have known what it would hold we would not have booked into the Motor inn. I should mention they did off to give him a credit note.

I booked this place as my friends and I needed a place to rest for a night after a road trip from Hobart, and it was the cheapest option on Wotif that wasn't a shared backpacker hostel. The room was very clean and neatly presented, however as with the rest of the motel premises, it was very dated and seemed like opening a time capsule from the 80s; the wood grain panelling, the 80s nightstand-radio that wasn't working, a slight mustiness in the air and 80s linoleum surfaces. But for what we were paying, there were no complaints. Didn't get to use the pool and spa but from what I've seen, the 'spa' was just a small jacuzzi for four in the pool area.

Breakfast was extremely basic which consisted of a selection of cereals, milk and hot tea/coffee, but was to be expected given the price (You had to pay $1 to self-boil a single egg).

Overall I'd recommend this place if you are staying for a maximum of 2 nights.

I've been here for 5 days so far and the staff have been wonderful. I Love the pool and spa area, it's just a lovely peaceful place to stay. Will definitely be coming again

Extremely disappointed in this place we stayed here years ago and it was beautiful but badly gone down hill we had a group of young adults next door with loud music that was very disrespectful even after we called staff and talked to them ourselves nothing was done will never stay here again meant to be a "family" motor inn far from that these days

Was ok but for the $125 that we played and then a $200 deposit I think it should be better then a big cake in the wall and the bathroom smelt mouldy and it was cold
