Definitely won't stay here again. Rooms are old and outdated. Our room had mould and cracks throughout the plaster. Could hear our neighbours as if they were in the same apartment as us. Our car parks were taken while we went for dinner elsewhere and we had to park across the other side of the property and walk our children through the cold weather. Would not recommend. AT ALL

Photos advertising this place are at least 10 years old, in major need of a revamp. Apartments are very old noisy and outdated. Have tiny cramped living area, tiny TV, minimal ancient kitchen facilities, poor shower and no air-conditioning (although 2 noisy pedestal fans supplied). Positive in that bedrooms are decent size and beds were comfortable enough. We had 2 bags stolen from our car on our last night of a regrettable 2 night stay. Reception told us that they would review CCTV footage supposedly covering reception area and get back to us. A week later and of course we still have not heard from them. Place so rundown in such state of disrepair even junkies feel comfortable to pilfer through cars without worry. Anyone who is contemplating staying here, just don't.

My clothes were stolen out of the washing machine.

If you are looking for a clean comfy bed, this does the job. If you are looking for a family chill out space, forget it. Service was great. Buildings are very aged, small. Needing lots of maintenance

I picked this place because it looked so cute with its European cottage-like accommodation. It also has an indoor swimming pool, spa and sauna. When we arrived at the reception, it has a nice Christmas tree by a huge floor to ceiling window and all wooden panelling around. Giving a bit of a ski resort feel.

However, the reception counter itself looked rather outdated and has a bit of a musty smell. The room we had sleeps 5 with 3 singles in a separate room. The room was very outdated like something of the 50s. The carpet was thin and stained. The bed were too soft. When one person tossed/turned on the double bed, the other person feels it easily. The room has no aircon but a really old heater. I suppose its because the weather is cold and you don't need an aircon. But we did use the free standing fan in the separate room. There is a bar fridge, microwave, cutleries and plates. A low-railed balcony with a beautiful view of trees on the entire side of a hill and some of the river.

The swimming pool and spa also needs a major overhaul as it is also very run down. Paint was peeling off the pool side paths and the interior of the plastic spa was staining yellow from age. The heated spa is only turned on on Fri, Sat and Sun. There is a kids games room -$2 a game and machines are all turned off to save electricity. But I guessed you can turn them on yourself if you want to play on them.

Not particularly clean, smelled like smokers were in the room previously, rubbish from previous customers in the drawer (and strangely some coins that surely cleaning staff would not have left there), a dripping tap and leaking toilet both of which are right near the bed so we had to fix it ourselves to prevent annoying noise while trying to sleep. There are some facilities I can't comment on, but fundamentally as somewhere to sleep for the night I suggest going elsewhere.

No cooling, dreary rooms.
Staircase railings are too far apart and dangerous for small children, definatly not up to safety codes. Kids Park is rusty and old.
The motel itself was uncomfortable and old. Ive stayed in better pubs for cheaper. @$189the night deffinatly was not worh it. Photos have been enhanced for website. Deffintaly not reflective of its actual place.

The rooms were disgusting, no body wash or nothing in the shower. Hair balls in the shower, stuff all over the floor and the bed were broken. Room was that hot and stuffy, no fan or air conditioner. Reception was rude couldn't even understand English. Rooms smelt, kids room was disgusting, will never be staying here again. Absolutely appalling
and filthy. Spa needs to be cleaned, pool not even heated.should be shut down that hotel.

Place was utterly filthy.dust under range hood from centuries ago baby milk all up stair case.filthy walls dirty foot prints on roof above bunks.no coffee or things like there should have been.spa was not working eight ball table with rips in felt.just plain out right disappointed will not recommend to anyone and definitely won't stay again. Not worth the money.better off going eles where.

What a dive. Rooms are are old and dirty. Beds are lumpy. They allow under-age parties. I will never stay here again

Good place to stay, has indoor spa and pool. Only Kids play area needed more equipment. Also mattress were too soft, started hurting my back on first night. Otherwise service is alright.

Very tired room, smelt awful. Friend in another room swears she had bed bugs in her bed. Awful shower curtain in bathroom. Shower drain blocked. Carpet filthy. Will never stay again.

Definitely needs to be bought up to a standard. Out dated may have been a fantastic place in its era but not so much now. Photos on website are when place was modern and cared for. Heated pool and spa was not even luke warm, spa didn't look like it had been cleaned or taken care of as water didn't even cover the jets. Not cheap! Heater does not work. Cover on quilts stained.

Our stay at Village Family Motor Inn was great. Wonderful service would recommend anyone to stay. Thank you for your service.

We love this place for family. Close to the city and things to do in Launceston. Happy, very friendly and helpful staff. Fun activities on ground for the kids.

Stayed one night the rooms was so dirty mould in the showers and on carpet saw other people are for refund got told no then when we went to reception the next day to try get refund for that night and they wouldn’t! Legit feel like I’ve been robbed blind! Do you not stay here or if you have booked cancel they definitely don’t clean it well and wouldn’t even step foot in there pool or shower! Legit would be more dirty getting into that shower definitely would never book there again they obviously don’t care!

We arrived at the hotel late last night with three young children. Reception new full well we were arriving late, all windows were wide open, heater didn’t work. The room was FREEZING! Through the night we had turned the heated blankets on. One sparked through the night because the cord was coming apart! The beds were like bricks and the Doona, well I wouldn’t even call it a doona it’s was that thin! The next day we decided to give the pool a go. It was also freezing! And DIRTY! The spa wasn’t even heated and when it was heated it was still cold and burning the kids eyes because how strong the chlorine was. The sauna worked for a whole of 10 minutes. We ended up going and paying to go to the Launceston pool.
When getting home from the Launceston pool the kids went to have a shower. There was NO hot water and the drain was not draining there was about 10cm of water in bottom of shower. The tv did not work. We decided to leave early and when talking to the guy in charge, he basically said he couldn’t do anything cause it is a Sunday! We asked for the money back from the night we not staying and he said he couldn’t do that. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE ANYTIME SOON! WROST HOTEL EVER!

This place is disgusting, and it well deserves it 1 star, extremely dirty rooms the beds were not cleaned and in poor condition, they have a large bed bug broblem too, WiFi does not work unless you're in the rooms closest to the front for 220 these rooms are a scam and when I do receive a connection it is slower than using mobile data I do not recommend staying here.

Absolute atrocious room
Didn’t look like it had been cleaned, food crumbs through the couch, sanitary products left in the shower floor. Front door half hanging off.

Terrible service when we asked for a new room. Same problem with this room.

Upon leaving, another tenant complained about 5 doonas/ sheets had blood stains all over them. This was her 3rd room that she had moved from. After speaking with her, found that the room we was in and the other room offered to us where the first 2 rooms she had been in.

Had been in our room less than 5 minutes and they wouldn’t refund the night, even though we didn’t stay.

UNBELIEVABLE!
