The Metz reviews
76Always updating their menus with some fresh takes on chicken burgers for example. It was delish!
Great deco and atmosphere. Food was alright but the portion are on the small side for a big plate order.
Nice atmosphere. Food a bit overpriced for what you get. I had the Cobb Salad with Chicken ($34). Not much chicken.
My family and I loved our New Years' Eve dinner and desserts - James was a fantastic host! We enjoyed the adventurous and fun cuisine. Thanks for a great time!
Great location, good food and excellent wine and cocktails selection. Slightly more expensive, the bar area is excellent if you wanted to have a drink only.
Absolutely amazing. I have hearing difficulties and some other health challenges that the staff not only willingly accommodated by seating us in a quieter area and adjusting menu items accordingly, but our waitress always remembered to stand on the side where I could hear, which was fantastic. The food and service was truly sensational. I've never posted a review before but we didn't want others to miss out. Truly worth a visit. We'll be back each time we come to Launceston.
Had a delicious Gluten free meal at The Metz last night. Both the food and the service was sensational. Knowledgeable about food allergies with separate GF area in Kitchen. Highly recommend
We ordered pizza and a salad to enjoy at home on Friday night. The food was delicious! Would highly recommend.
Nice staff and beautiful decor. Good selection of beer and wines. However the food in my opinion was mediocre and overpriced. Flank steak entree in particular was sinewy and chewy. Sent it back and was offered a free drink but we were ready to leave. Won't go back unfortunately.
Good coffee, plenty of seating which at the time I visited with a friend were mostly empty. However we were seated very close to other patrons which significantly impacted on our conversation.
Coffee tepid at best and not served as requested with my desert. Their mission is to give best service and failed on this occasion by failing to listen or apply attention to detail
We have owned our own venue so are critical but also accommodating to good service and food. This place is outstanding. Attentive, motivated staff, a sense of urgency, and great food! Not often I review but this very very worthy! Faultless! Well done guys
A Coeliac Review. Have now had two meals from the dinner menu which had a great selection of GF options. They run a Gluten Free fryer which means GF fish and chips! No pizzas for the Coeliac though. A popular spot with some street side tables as an option. Friendly staff with good service.
Delicious food. Pizza is fresh with high quality ingredients. Unfortunately, pizza took over 50 mins to arrive with no pre-warning on order. Would have been nice to know in advance, as we had other places to go.
We visited from Sydney and were very impressed with The Metz.
Fantastic service and wonderful food with a good variety on the menu.
We will definitely be back!
Rather pricey for a pub. A $28 pizza that was pretty plain. Drinks also too expensive. I wont return when you get nothing in return for overpriced food and drink. 2 stars for the pleasant ambience.
