TOO SALTY. Specially fajita was awful. We ordered beef fajita and as soon as we tasted it, all of us said “omg it’s tooooo salty that I can’t even swallow it”. So we told the server how we felt. And she said that “they don’t use any salt in fajita, but use seasonings. ” I can make much better fajita at home with Woolworths seasonings and a market beef. Just awful. We also ordered a pulled beef taco, guacamole and chicken burrito. Guacamole was good. Nachos just tasted like good chips from Woolworths or other markets. The beef taco needed more salt. Lastly, the chicken burrito was just so-so. A little bit salty.

IF i could give no stars I would. Where to start! We booked for 4 adults and 4 children. Upon choosing our meals it was a given the kids would choose a kids meal which consisted of 2 choices, loaded fries or taco with fries. They told us at that point there were no chips. So the kids meals were $15 for loaded fries or tacos and fries with a kids soft drink or frozen margarita. But since there were no fries they still wanted to charge us $15. Ok so since we were already here drinking our drinks we bit the bullet and ordered. Then the appetiser came out, we started having that and 2 minutes later the mains came out! We haven't even started our appetiser. 3 adults out of 4, no kids meals. The 3 adults ate their meals, 1 adult still waiting and 2 kids still waiting. The people who received their meals had now finished their meals and the kids and 1 adult still no meal. So we asked what was going on, they tried to say we had only waited 30 minutes.for tacos.when the rest of our party had now finished their meal. This is simply not good enough. NEVER serve adults before the kids and ALWAYS either serve the kids first and everyone else together or all together. THEN they served the last adult waiting and kept the last child waiting.but it gets worse.the child took one bite of her meal and found it was off.the fish was completly rotten and smelt awful. Bad service, the chef has no idea what he is doing or how to coordinate meals. Ruined our whole night out. Would not recommend coming here. EVER.

Immediate feedback:
we were only charged for our drinks, however the owner/kitchen manager was unable to make the time for this feedback (we waited for 30+min before being excused by our server with an “excuse”) :

Summary:
Having eaten Mexican food in many places across Australia, the United States of America, and Mexico—I would strongly encourage you to spend your money elsewhere.

Detail:
—chicken chimichangas: tasted like something that would have been acquired at a carnival stand; sugary, deep fried, served with little care

—“crunchy” pork carnitas: flavor was uninspired. The pork would have been easily flavored at home to reach this expensive standard.

—barria taco: flavorless, uninspired. Would not purchase again.

—nachos queso: strong velveeta bean dip flavor, tasty

—traditional fishbowl frozen margarita: very tasty

There is no option for zero stars so here we go, one forced star. You think you've had horrible Mexican food? No you haven't, it's here, so do yourself a favour and don't go to this restaurant. We ordered tacos, cause it was taco Tuesday you know! They only have three options, fish beef and chicken (poor vegetarians!). They use the taco shell you can find in the supermarket (old el paso), Frozen fish, no spices, some unflavoured rice on the side. Horrible. My piña colada was just a bomb of sugar. Food took a good 40mins to arrive. Another friend ordered chimichanga and said it was dry and tasteless. Horrible food, super expensive. I don't understand why this place is always super full. There are better places to eat. It's a pity, the location is awesome, near Salamanca, and the restaurant itself, with its decoration and lighting is beautiful. Go somewhere else!

We went here for dinner and a few drinks at about 7: 30pm, and were some of the only patrons in the restaurant. While the staff were initially quite friendly, instead of simply mentioning that the kitchen was closing at 8: 30 they simply turned off all the lights and music while we were still waiting on our (very slow) food to arrive. The food was fresh out of the Old El Paso box from Coles (ie, you could make it at home & it would be more authentic and exciting). Frijoles are just tinned refried beans from the supermarket, and the meat was tasteless and dry. To top it off, we had one vegan at the table and ordered the supreme nachos with cheese / sour cream on the side & they served us a bowl of plain chips and tried to charge us full price. I definitely won’t be back.

Ordered bucket of coronas only had 3 bits of ice in it and barley any water so there beers were warm… no fresh herbs and spices, food was sloppy and really bland lacked flavour of any sort. Service was ordinary, wish I spent my money elsewhere. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone I know. It’s a shame cause I love Mexican and was really looking forward to it.

Don’t do it. Very expensive and poor flavours. Our experience included fish something like a defrosted fish fingers in a flavourless, luke-warm/cold taco and a $30 dried out beef in a flaky burrito wrap.
Mexican food Can be so simple and tasty, this was very disappointing, and was a waste of a night out opportunity for us.

Didn’t try the drinks, but similarly $$$

"Extra, extra hot" spice level is actually just mild.

We decided after our disappointing visit that this restaurant is only surviving by using extremely cheap ingredients and inexperienced/low cost kitchen staff while asking customers to pay dolares exhorbitantes for rice and beans.

I'm really surprised about the number of positive reviews on here.

The staff are very friendly.

I have never felt more disappointed with a restaurant!

The food has no seasoning at all and doesn't have any Mexican food flavour. Even for a regular meal, it was just bland and not worth at all the price they charge, so overpriced!

I had to ask for salt to be able to eat the food otw I wouldn't eat it, it was so flavourless.

$30 for a small portion of rice and a dry tasteless chicken, just awful!

I also ordered a strawberry margarita and it was just a mix of ice, little tequila and strawberry syrup with a super artificial flavour! The worse margarita ever

When I left the restaurant I had the feeling that I've just grabbed my money and threw it all inside a bin.

Never coming back.

PLEASE if you value your taste buds, DO NOT go to this place, it was absolutely horrible! I should have known when I arrived and the place was empty during peak hour on a Sunday evening, that's never a good sign!
How do you even make a margarita taste horrible? ! I had one sip and couldn't even go near it. I ordered the fajitas and it just taste burnt and had absolutely no seasoning, I had to ask for salt and lemon but to get the waitresses attention was an effort and strange considering I was one of two tables in the restaurant. Tip to the waitress, you probably shouldn't have your back facing the floor whilst you chat with the other waitress making drinks, if you can't get good service when they are empty, imagine if they were busy? !
Pancho villa has food twenty times better and yes id endure their reggaeton night club music anytime then ever go back here!

Very disappointing experience.
In the menu there are Nachos and SUPREME NACHOS ($27)

I ordered Supreme and my surprise was a big plate of tortilla chips with cheese, guacamole, sour cream and salsa. No beans or meat.

There was a surcharge of $7 for beans and meat. How can they call them Supreme?

The funny thing is that they offer for free when you arrive tortilla chips and salsa. I paid $27 for a flavorless guacamole, sour cream and cheese.

Misleading menu.

Lets be real, this place is awful. Just go to the supermarket and get an old el paso taco kit a save yourself $90.

The restaurant doesn't know what is Mexican food. It should be done by Mexicans or experienced people in the kitchen.

Tacos used to be great, now it's insanely overpriced and the food is just not very nice anymore. They used to do the best chimmy changas.now they're just tiny dry parcels with no flavour until smothered in cream cheese and plum sauce, which only barely perks them up.

DO NOT GO HERE. Tacos are about 4x more expensive than in Sydney (one of the the most expensive cities in the world) and seemed like they were made by a double amputee Russian who thought he was cooking for prisoners of a gulag. Even the beer was flat, how is this possible? If you go here after reading this you deserve to eat their food.

Didn’t even get to eat here. The phone never gets answered (we tried calling over three days) And when we came in to ask for a table, we received very cold response and no effort to book us another day.

Reading other reviews, this place seemed too good to be true with amazing and authentic Mexican food. I was wrong. Ordered the fishbowl coke and a fishbowl Splice for drinks, for the size they were ok priced but the cocktail splice just tasted like straight tequila and had absolutely no flavour (Literally like a whole bottle in this cup). For food we ordered the nachos with beef and guacamole, beef taquitos and the beef combonation. All together this came out to just over $110 which for the quality of food was terrible. The beef was dry with no flavour, the nachos were just melted cheese and the taquitos had no flavour either. The best thing about this restaurant is there guacamole!

The happy hour drinks were good but food was one of the worst I had. Portion size were huge but poor service made it so confusing. No heating or proper lighting in restaurant as well

The drinks were fantastic, would definitely recommend and they also did a virgin version of the margarita which was great for our non drinking members of the group.

The waiter who served us water dropped two glasses in front of us, which sprayed shattered glass all over the group, though no one was hurt. He was apologetic, and grabbed some of the larger pieces off the table, however the rest of the glass was left for more than 10 minutes and it took 3 wait staff serving us before one came back with a cloth and cleaned the glass up.

The food was massive in portion, however was very bland and not what you think of when you think Mexican food if that makes sense. Would have been great if there was more spice and seasoning, and the guoc definitely needed lime or lemon.
