Tacos Mexican Restaurant

Don’t do it. Very expensive and poor flavours. Our experience included fish something like a defrosted fish fingers in a flavourless, luke-warm/cold taco and a $30 dried out beef in a flaky burrito wrap.
Mexican food Can be so simple and tasty, this was very disappointing, and was a waste of a night out opportunity for us.

Didn’t try the drinks, but similarly $$$

"Extra, extra hot" spice level is actually just mild.

We decided after our disappointing visit that this restaurant is only surviving by using extremely cheap ingredients and inexperienced/low cost kitchen staff while asking customers to pay dolares exhorbitantes for rice and beans.

I'm really surprised about the number of positive reviews on here.

The staff are very friendly.

Has to be the best eating out in Hobart, staff are amazingly friendly and so helpful - if you haven't been here it's a must

Good place for a dinner with friends. Food and drinks were on the expensive side, but the portions are very generous and the fishbowls definitely have alcohol in them haha. Would definitely go again.

I have never felt more disappointed with a restaurant!

The food has no seasoning at all and doesn't have any Mexican food flavour. Even for a regular meal, it was just bland and not worth at all the price they charge, so overpriced!

I had to ask for salt to be able to eat the food otw I wouldn't eat it, it was so flavourless.

$30 for a small portion of rice and a dry tasteless chicken, just awful!

I also ordered a strawberry margarita and it was just a mix of ice, little tequila and strawberry syrup with a super artificial flavour! The worse margarita ever

When I left the restaurant I had the feeling that I've just grabbed my money and threw it all inside a bin.

This place is fun. Great staff, frozen margaritas fish bowls (4 standard drinks) and portion sizes to expand the waistline.

My food was on a sizzling plate and was badly burnt and continued to burn.prawns were like bullets.the people in the bar lineup were crowding us abd our table.very noisy. Very disappointed.

Needs more lightening at the dining tables. Had to use the torch on our phones to read the menu.

The food came so late, about four or five tables that came well after us were served first. Took like an hour. The food was good with good size servings and Wait staff was lovely, but could have communicated to us maybe there was an accident with our food order or something rather than make an already hungry group of people wait an hour watching everyone else eat
What really turned it around was the owner came by and apologized and gave us a round of shots. While I didn’t have the best time this time, the gesture makes me want to at least give it another go

Was taken here for a birthday dinner. Great venue with views out onto the water. Excellent service. Delicious margaritas. Will go back soon.

The main meals are very large so there are no complaints for lack of food. Our attendant, Iris, from Columbia was amazing. She looked after us so well and was very friendly and kind. Nice atmosphere, cosy, good food and well located. Thanks for making our night Iris and I hope you got the entire tip!

We were lucky to find a dining spot during NYE and was welcomed by the friendly staffs. Food was average and rice was lukewarm though the long list of cocktails that comes in small and fishbowl (large) injects fun to the dining experience.

Smells are wonderful.

Fancy drinks look like works of art.

Prices inconsistent.

PLEASE if you value your taste buds, DO NOT go to this place, it was absolutely horrible! I should have known when I arrived and the place was empty during peak hour on a Sunday evening, that's never a good sign!
How do you even make a margarita taste horrible? ! I had one sip and couldn't even go near it. I ordered the fajitas and it just taste burnt and had absolutely no seasoning, I had to ask for salt and lemon but to get the waitresses attention was an effort and strange considering I was one of two tables in the restaurant. Tip to the waitress, you probably shouldn't have your back facing the floor whilst you chat with the other waitress making drinks, if you can't get good service when they are empty, imagine if they were busy? !
Pancho villa has food twenty times better and yes id endure their reggaeton night club music anytime then ever go back here!

Good Mexican restaurant that provides delicious food and classical Margaritas. Staff were polite, efficient and friendly. Food is bordering on expensive but it was well presented with good portion sizes. Plenty of seating, great atmosphere, relaxed environment. I had a great night with friends and would definitely return.

Food is exactly what we expect, fishbowl marguritas are great. I would drop 1/2 a star due to the amount of uneaten food (portions are huge)

Good atmosphere. Went there for a birthday dinner. Staff are friendly and efficient. Although they don't split bills at the end you can pay as you order which was perfect for our large group. Large range on menu. Plenty of vegetarian options. Food is excellent.

Very disappointing experience.
In the menu there are Nachos and SUPREME NACHOS ($27)

I ordered Supreme and my surprise was a big plate of tortilla chips with cheese, guacamole, sour cream and salsa. No beans or meat.

There was a surcharge of $7 for beans and meat. How can they call them Supreme?

The funny thing is that they offer for free when you arrive tortilla chips and salsa. I paid $27 for a flavorless guacamole, sour cream and cheese.

Misleading menu.

Food was OK and service was great. It is a very expensive place, though. The most expensive Mexican restaurant we have been to. Do NOT order the Nachos. Specially, the large supreme ones. You will end up paying more than $30 if you want some meat on them. The menu can be confusing too in regard to the Nachos.

Lets be real, this place is awful. Just go to the supermarket and get an old el paso taco kit a save yourself $90.
