Tacos Mexican Restaurant reviews
78 Wow.just been for meal with overseas visitors, and was fantastic. Too much food that was cooked to perfection. Had to explain why we left some. Service was awesome, and Susie was even more. Nothing was a problem, and if I could give 12 out of 10. I would.
Many thanks plus
Fraser Herbert
The restaurant doesn't know what is Mexican food. It should be done by Mexicans or experienced people in the kitchen.
Very pleasant restaurant. Portion sizes where large. Prompt service. Jalapenos were a bit disappointing.
Delicious food, great specials! The staff member who served us was very helpful and polite, going our of her way to accommodate us!
What are you seeking? Carbohydrates and chilli? You got it. Great service. Quick service. Good wine. It is Tex Mex, not Mexican. Quite pricey for quality of meal, but you are paying for location.
Tacos used to be great, now it's insanely overpriced and the food is just not very nice anymore. They used to do the best chimmy changas.now they're just tiny dry parcels with no flavour until smothered in cream cheese and plum sauce, which only barely perks them up.
Amazing food unbelievable Margaritas and the staff are brilliant. This is a great family restaurant or an awesome place to go with friends to have a few too many margaritas. Go check it out you won’t be disappointed.
The waitress was very nice, so I can definitely agree with the comments about nice service. However, it was very expensive and I thought the food was lacking in flavour. $18 for a bowl of salsa, guacamole and chips. The guacamole really didn't have anything going on, literally just tasted like mashed avocado. My fishbowl sure left me feeling pretty good, but for $26 I'd say that's to be expected. It did have a fun atmosphere and was evidently popular. Won't eat here again though I'm afraid to say.
Liam the waiter was excellent - not overly spicy.we just had the trio dips as bit pricey plus we ache for true Mexican food
First the venue is nice and has an authentic feel with friendly staff and the food was delicious but the prices are ridiculously over priced for what it is.
It's a generic family Mexican restaurant/place to get a massive ice cream headache from frozen Margaritas. There's nothing too wrong with that, that's still pretty tasty and it works. It's expensive, but you have no other choice for this style of restaurant in hobart (Amigos is comically terrible). I would compare it closely to the Taco Bill chain of restaurants in Melbourne.
DO NOT GO HERE. Tacos are about 4x more expensive than in Sydney (one of the the most expensive cities in the world) and seemed like they were made by a double amputee Russian who thought he was cooking for prisoners of a gulag. Even the beer was flat, how is this possible? If you go here after reading this you deserve to eat their food.
Have been twice, the first time was new years for drinks during happy hour margaritas and was worth it the combination you can have and price of drinks makes it well worthwhile the second time was a walk in for a bite to eat now the price is higher than what I would normally buy for a night out in town but they do have $10 options for a quick chew (taco Tuesday is one of the cheapest nights for food) now don't get me wrong the price is well deserved the most expensive meal was roughly $40. I highly recommend this place for a special occasion when it comes down to food it's worth it or for the happy hour for a few cheap drinks
Tacos is a bit overpriced, but the food is close to resembling the Tex mex food in Southern California. The taco Tuesday and happy hour margaritas are a reasonable deal too.
Decided to have dinner here and was utterly delighted. The serves are huge! Margarita flavours are awesome too. I had the fruit tingle and it was sweet and delicious. I ordered Los Tacos with frijoles and loved every bite.
You come here at happy hour and get very drunk on the frozen cocktails. So many flavors. Then soak it up with some nachos. It isn't fancy, but the staff are cool and it's pretty cheap. Great place to have a big table of friends and family for a bday.
Been here a few times lately went again just last night didn't have a table booked but they happily found us one was just having margaritas they brought us out complimentary chips and salsa I think it's the owner she is so lovely and friendly we love just going there to relax unwind and have a drink
Very generous size meals. What I had was very tasty. Service was good and attentive, with a smile! Will be back.
