Do not miss this vineyard! Doug has a great variety of fantastic wines and even gave us a behind the scenes tour and a taste from the barrel. Make sure you try the amarone! Nellie the vineyard dog is a great wine tasting companion.

Really enjoyable stop with delicious wines. Wine maker was great to talk to. Range was excellent. Want to buy more online but they are not all listed
They arranged shipment for all the wines we collected on our trip, no hassles.
Highly recommend Swinging Gate Vineyard!

Probably the best vineyard I have ever visited. Doug is a legend who both grows and makes easily some of the best wine I have ever had. The amarone is incredible. The cellar door is a lovely experience and the wine dog Nellie is great company.

Owner winemaker cellar door with 15 wines made on site on offer. Recently added to varietals are Blanc du Noir, merlot, petillant naturel. Quirky cellar door is a delightful tasting experience with views to distant mountains. Four othee cellars nearby.

Excellent wines, the owner really likes experimenting with something new and different, so most of the wines you taste here will have an element of difference.

One of the owners is also a masseuse, so you can get a massage, or facial, or similar, at the cellar door.

We spent most of the afternoon here, between tasting, drinking a glass or two, and a massage. The owners are absolutely lovely, the winery dog is a sweetheart, and the wines are brilliant.
This place isn't signposted on the road, which is a shame, because it's a must-visit. Do yourself a favour and stop in.

Super friendly owners, and a popular wine dog. She’ll even sign your copy of the WineDogs book with her paw print!
