Olde Tudor Hotel reviews
70 Horrific hard bed, no drain in the bathroom, entire room leant to the left, causing a soaked carpet.
This has been the worst night I have ever spent in a motel. The bed was so hard, I considered sleeping on the floor.
The shower door wasn't even attached correctly. Just don't.
In-room 12, the fire alarm beep when you turn on the heat mode on the AC. My neighbour room 11 was locked out of her room after hours and could not reach out to anyone on the after-hours number. Otherwise, the room itself is really nice and renovated bathroom.
The place was nice and convenient; but staff was not very professional. She (the receptionist) did not ask for my name properly, she gave me a wrong room (without checking my ID, she did not ask for my ID when I was checking in).
I ended up paying more for what I booked (I paid $69 more), because I took someone else room. She (the receptionist) called me a few hours later, complained that I signed the wrong contract (room contract). I know it was my fault, as I was very tired from a long road trip, and I did not check as I trusted them giving me the right one; but HOW COULD YOU BLAME THE CUSTOMER WHEN YOU DID NOT CHECK THEIR ID CARD?
She also lied, said I did not give her the ID card (she did not ask for it when I was checking in). I guess she was next to her boss when she was trying to talk to me, so she blame me on her mistake. If the receptionist asked for your ID card when checking in your hotel room, how could you not give it to them and still get a room?
So, the place was 4.5 stars (it was good), but the service made it 3. Just make sure you check the room first before paying.
Quyen Nguyen, stayed on 26/03.
Great for a catch up with the girls or your mates. Previously used accommodation is clean and staff are very helpful and friendly. Great food.
Stopped in for tea and was the worst thing I did food was horrible. Lamb shank in tomato kind of sauce was like the tomatos was just tipped onto the plate, vegies were hard not even cooked and creamy mash was lumpy as. Pork belly not cooked properly and very chewy.
A little out of the way but well worth the extra 5min drive. Quiet rooms with plenty of room and a 5min walk to nearby iga and bakery etc. Love this place. No hesitation for top recommendatio to all. Will be back for sure.
Excellant room and the food is brilliant really recommend anyone to stay there and last not least the staff is so friendly and helpful definetly looking forward to go there again they made the stay so enjoyable
Last Saturday May 22 My friend and I ordered a pizza to share in the bistro. The pizza was ‘plonked’ on the table and the waiter just walked away. No plates. No serviettes. No chance to ask for them. Very poor service. Oh.and.the pizza was undercooked.
The Olde Tudor catered very well to a large group I was with. Food was of good quality with minimal wait times. Prices were reasonable and kids were well catered to and kept entertained in the play area.
Excellent service, food was really good. Friendly staff, ordered dessert for my husband as birthday surprise and the cheesecake and brownies is sooo good. Definitely will be back, thank you
Lunch was nice, ask the questions about menu items. Fish wasn't fresh, they don't make the salt and pepper squid and scallops aren't Tasmanian.
Great place to stay, great staff, clean rooms, nice area, no ferals, A1, stayed twice and will stay again, thanks guys

Stayed on Thursday night in a lovely refurbished room. Great service from reception staff. Unexpected circumstances saw us requiring accomodation on the Saturday night. We rang late in the evening on our way to Launceston after reception had closed, but the two girls (one who was new) went over and beyond to ensure we had accommodation for the night. We once again stayed in a refurbished room and both occasions the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Thank you to the staff for helping us out at such short notice, it was very much appreciated.
This review is purely based on the food served. All staff are always friendly and helpful. Steak was inedible and claimed it was Tasmanian! Schnitzel was obviously from a box and overall was very underwhelming. Sad really as this is my local. We were refunded on the steak without asking as they seen our plate. Cannot fault staff, you guys are great and the establishment is lucky to have you, the quality of food was purely my issue.
The room was great bistro food was awesome good size meals all the wait staff was very friendly but unfortunately there was one waitress who obviously didn't want too be at work no personality everything seem too be a bother not just too us but everyone her body language was all wrong unfortunately that one person is the one thing they remember about there stay but other that that we enjoyed our stay
Beds are rocks we had different 4 rooms and everyone had bad sleeps.
We had dinner on Monday night. Soup was uneatable. Spent over 400 dollars and definitely not worth it. Maybe look at the cook. Chips lifted soaking in oil. Jelly for the kids boy something I didn't think could stuff up but couldn't eat.
The cleaning staff great bunch of ladies helpful in other venues to eat at.
Rooms sizing great still could do a bit of fixing.
Pool area totally unsafe could definitely do with make over. Not heated at all. Slippery in pool so hard to hold kids. Disabled unfriendly.
I get why u get people to pay up front. As u would have to many asking for discounts
Terrible. Even if you was paying, i still would not go back. Uncomfortable chairs, cold vegetables, meals have no flavour or seasoning. Left a bad taste in our mouths so went and got dessert elsewhere.
Great place to stay close to everything has a pool and bottle shop gaming room tote bar and restaurants IGA next door go see for your self
Food and service is alway excellent. Meals always delivered promptly and are always fresh and tasty. Looking forward to returning after restrictions ease
Room was pretty good, however, the breakfast at the bistro was horrendous. Not really any options for people with dietary restrictions (no diary free or egg free options), food was stone cold and precooked, and they didn’t have the majority of the things on the menu. Very disappointing, especially considering how good it used to be.
