Olde Tudor Hotel

The food was the worst food I’ve ever had from there, the pork belly was all soft and gooey, the mash potato was as if it was a 2 minute microwave mash. Was told we could stay by management till 9 was kicked out at 8: 15 as they were having a staff Christmas party…

Apart from that the bar staff (Sophie I believe her name was) was amazing and the manager was very accommodating after the experience we had previously that morning!

As for returning won’t be coming back anytime soon!

Charming and a good variety of rooms which are tight and showing their age.
Small TV no streaming. Bunks only suitable for small people.

Very nice room. Unfortunately the mattress was way too firm. Also our Bistro reservation was not recorded. Fortunately there was a table available

For the food and service I wish i could give zero stars. A group of 18 of us dined in 11th March at 630 and the service was slow, people that arrived at our table 40 mins after got their food within 10 mins and the rest of the tables food arrived an hour and 10 mins later. My chicken looked freezer burnt and was like eating cardboard the veggies were dry and limp. One person at our table had pizza that had smelly off meat and we approached the waitress raised our concerns and her come back was it was fine for me when i had some earlier in the day. She was totally dismissively and rude. Will never go again

Great place to stay, shops near by people were friendly and the rooms are clean.
If your not after 4 or 5 star accommodation but a well appointed room and friendly staff the Olde Tudor hotel is a great option.

Did not enjoy my dinner at all. Cold sweet potato chips. Ordered a curried fish dish from the specials board. Fish came out in a bowl with Neapolitan sauce. Did not eat it. Have eaten here many times in the past, but will not be returning in a hurry.

All was good nice and clean and great service in gaming room BUT nobody in reception to talk to and bloke in sports bar is pretty rude

We spent one night at a 2 bedroom apartment. Very spacious, clean and very comfortable. Bathrooms newly renovated.
Wish we stayed longer!
Will come again if we visit Tasmania

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Olde Tudor Hotel and overall had a great experience. The food was delicious and there were plenty of activities for both the kids and adults to enjoy, including a playground and arcade machines. The hotel staff were very apologetic when one of our meals was forgotten about by the kitchen staff. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and we particularly enjoyed the indoor pool, spa, and sauna which were also well-maintained and the kids loved having a swim. I would highly recommend the Olde Tudor Hotel as a great place to stay for families looking for a fun and comfortable vacation.

Very disappointed in our stay this time around, no staff over Xmas period to help with extras needed in room.
Xmas dinner was terrible, the set up was too crammed, not enough staff too accomodate patrons and for $129 per head I would have expected more, food was dry, (meats), hot food was cold, and a lot of the food was way undercooked. Eg: potatoe bake was raw. The $129 included house wine and tap beer but you had too line up for 15 minutes too get a drink as there was only 2 staff too accomodate all these people, no where too empty scraps off plates, no staff too remove dirty plates. Couldn’t even get a fresh plate or an extra knife and fork if needed without trying too track down a staff member. So disappointed for the price we paid and we weren’t the only ones.
The up side, rooms were clean as always and and the pool was nice and warm.

Close to super market and shops. Excellent rooms with Air conditioning and pool with spa and sauna.

Great hotel for an affordable price!
It is an older style room but it was nice and large with a modern bathroom was also nice and clean. The rooms were quiet you couldn’t hear anyone else next door and it seemed busy. The staff were lovely and accommodating when we said our flight was going to be delayed and we would arrive until 9.30pm. Really lovely budget hotel, would definitely stay here again!

The accommodation was a great size and clean. The bathroom was the best we had in Tasmania. Staff was friendly. It was good that there was a supermarket and Cafe with in walking distance. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Great value & location. Good size with separate bedroom & fab WiFi. Pub, Tab, Bottle Shop all onsite Only minor issue was main TV not HD.

The food here was cooked to perfection and there was a huge line and yet they still gave me the best meal of my life. The rooms are lovely and clean, 5 stars

Staying here for two nights, first night we figured we'll just go to the Bistro as it's a short walk from our room (and less hassle with 2 small kids). Probably the most expensive meal we've bought on our holiday, yet not the best by far. Oysters were drowned in Worsteshire Sauce, could hardly taste anything but! Pork tasted more like Charcoal than anything, asked for Medium Rare steak, got Well-Done instead. Had to go up and ask for kids drink that was supposed to come with meal. Then asked for his dessert afterwards and never got it. Waited 1/2hr too. Then, as we got outside, looked in the windows and they were straight there to clean our table. So not completely forgotten it would seem! Windows in our room have no security screens, the only one there is, is broken. The window in the bathroom doesn't open either so full of steam when you have a shower, even with the fan on. Not the worst experience, but definitely not the best!

Spent $160 as a family, I had a $51 surf and turf (prawns/scallops). Was very ordinary. I hate giving a review, but feel compelled to warn others. Staff are nice, schooners were cold and the Garlic/Cheese/Bacon bread was ok, apart from that……naaaaa

We had a great stay. Rooms were very clean and great size, very cosy. The restaurant food was delicious and great value for money. The lady on reception was so lovely and helpful. After a bad experience with our first taxi called she made sure the second one got us to our destination. Highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back next year!

Nice big rooms with a kitchenette which is awesome if you are staying more than two nights. Well priced and good 6 day cleaning service. Staff could be a bit nicer in the bottle shop. But bonus points it has a on-site bottle shop. Food was okay and Tassie seems to have different achocol and food laws, so check places out so you don't get caught out.
