La Cantina Restaurant reviews
63Service is definitely lacking, walked in and was stared at by the waiter wasn’t offered a table had to be asked to be seated. Was seated right up against the wall in seats that only a 2 year old could fit in. The menus were taken off the table before we could order mains. Like previous reviews $2 is ridiculous to pay as an add on for Parmesan cheese, never been to a Italian restaurant where you have to pay for cheese. For $30 the gamberi had 6 prawns. The portion was very large and the pasta was fresh but prices are steep and service is lacking.
Good staff. 15% too expensive Charged us for partisan cheese $2.really.just hide it.extras annoy people. Place was empty but food very good.
The food was absolutely fantastic but the waitering was very slow. It took them more than half an hour to come and get our orders and I had to tell them twice that we are ready.
My partner & I had dinner here tonight for her birthday. The food was amazing especially the garlic pizza. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend eating here.
Good food and good prices, nice environment too.
Only thing that taking away a 5 stars ranking is that after meal they asked me to wait in the long crowded line of customer who's waiting for take away or be seated in order to pay my bill.
How hard is to just tap my card and let me go. It didn't even needed the pin or signature.
Highly recommended - Amazing pasta and pizza. We were happy from the minute we walked in we were impressed with the service and the ambience - the food was authentic and amazing. Make sure you book in before as it was very busy.
Great authentic food. Meals come out hot and generous servings. Service excellent you wont be disappointed
Visiting from Adelaide, stumbled across this restaurant Saturday night. Staff are very friendly and efficient! The food was DELISH!
Bellissimo
Very nice menu, I believe it has changed hands and so some things have changed, eg no more regular and large pasta options. Quick and friendly service, good for families or dinner before a show.
Well the steak was just the way I like it and as I asked for it to come. The vege was lovely and the gravy too. Prompt and efficient service. Morto Bella!
Happy birthday to Fee.
Food is delicious! Very quick service and clean. Have travelled around Italy and this is honestly some of the nicest Italian food we have eaten. A must when visiting Launceston
I visited this fabulous restaurant and I had no booking but the owner went out of his way and said come back in five minutes so I returned and sat down the service was great and the food was excellent I will be back from Melbourne thanks
Not only was dinner good, but the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was inviting. Even my fussy kids loved their meals
The service was excellent, only con was the food I ordered.not sure if it was supposed to taste like vomit or not but it wasn't pleasant, dessert was delicious
Exquisite! Simply delicious. It doesn't matter what you order, it will be perfect. However, I can highly recomend the garlic prawns. Super welcoming staff and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend. Will be back for sure.
Be sure to book ahead as it gets busy. Really tender and fresh calamari, but pizza was not really memorable unfortunately
Great meal, friendly and relaxing atmosphere, efficient staff, reasonably priced and quick service. Certainly worth the visit.
I cant say this was anything but perfect! The service and clear focus on the task at hand.great food, time out with a good vibe was everything I needed after moving today from the GC. I am a food Karen, and good lawd, they are totally onto it!
Went for dinner with family and was one of the very few places open on Easter Sunday. Our waitress was a bubbly young lady who had a good sense of humour and was knowledgeable about their menu.
The entree came out quickly and our drinks as well. Our mains were a good size and filling. We didn't try dessert or coffee as we were quite satiated for the evening. I would definitely return when we visit Launceston again.
