La Cantina Restaurant reviews
63We arrived at 6.15pm on Saturday night - without a booking to be fair - but the place was 3/4 empty. When we asked if they had a table, they looked at us as if we’d asked if we could borrow $10,000. Rude and disorganised.
We are vegetarians… the options were less but the food was super delicious.the pizza was so fresh and tasty… the pastas were freshly made and super delicious…. Definitely worth visiting again
Most amazing delicious pasta.super fresh.melts in your mouth.
Best pizza in Launceston.
Perhaps a combination of wanting pizza and a really good pizza either way La Cantina delivered with their small Hawaiian with extra pineapple! Bravo La Cantina, bravo!
Old school character italian restaurant with home-style meals. Attentive service and reasonable prices
I dine at La Cantina almost every week. Conchetta, Giuseppe & staff are brilliant. The cuisine always tasty.
Need to get the basic things right. Food was over priced. On the menu it states (oddly) that you get 25 pieces of ravioli. Now not to be pedantic but we got 19. The food was not great. The service was average at best. Too busy talking instead of taking customers orders.
No flexibility in the menu at all. Small dishes. Meal took a while to come although quiet when we ordered! Not the best experience.
Very very poor service, very expensive for what you get & probably would charge you to go to the toilet, food was only ok.
Cannot recommend & will not return.
Overrated & extremely overpriced.
Really not a great experience. The wait staff had no idea about the Italian wine (couldn't even tell me if it was a white or a red) despite it being on the specials board. Also they did not know if the bolognese was pork/beef mix and I had to ask the waitress to ask the chef.
Strange that the owner/managers/head chefs can't take 5mins at the start of each night to familiarise the staff with the menu.
Wouldn't go back.
Lovely food and great for coeliac gluten free. Big thank you to Laura who took care of us and such care with the dietary needs. Highly recommend
Best Italian restaurant in Tasmania, the food is incredible, friendly staff and very quick service, you do need to mention if your gluten free for pasta orders when you book, so many options on the menu, hard to pick
It’s a bit expensive and some of the ingredients feel cheap given the price. Portion sizes are alright. Good staff.
Awesome service and very friendly staff. Food was to die for. Good on ya guy's would rate 11/10 would highly recommend
Meal was okay but menu at the front is take away and alot cheaper then "dine in" menu.didn't realise this until we paid.
Food was alright. However, not great enough to have waited over 1.5hrs. Just not good enough. Waiters very lovely.
Website says open Friday night until 10.30, after a show at Tramway we walked there arrived at 9.35 and it was closed.
Very accomodating and the staff went above and beyond to meet dietary requirements, the best carbonara I’ve ever had! My partner said his steak was “out of this world”. Definitely coming back!
A tad bit on the pricey side and value for money couldve been improved. I ordered the Fettucine Matriciana and it was certainly tasty and the pasta serving size was generous. It just lacks a bit of sauce and meat and it would have been perfect.
