Staff great - friendly, helpful, professional. Room very clean, comfortable and appreciated being able to open window without noise intrusion from neighbourhood. Location - easy to find, central and much to see and do within walking distance.

Service was above excellent, returning left items quickly by post and without fuss. Can not thank them enough. Room and meals were very good

Lovely room with great bathroom and shower. Unfortunately there is a night club close by which played very loud music well into the early hours of the morning leading to a very poor night's sleep.

Good basic accomodation. Rooms could be more sound proof but overall comfy beds and a nice place to stay. Good coffee.

Being right in the middle of Devonport make is convenient, the views from the higher levels are nice and big rooms were a bonus.

False advertising regarding the views and size of the bedroom, way too expensive for a crapy room, noisy toilet ventilation and fridge (just turn it off)
I wonder if they change the bed sheets
Really nice Person attending the Restaurant but the food. Pub Food wins!
Breakfast you pay separately, available are: yesterday Coles croissants, toast and coffee all very exciting.

Charged me $4 for a small bottle of water without displaying the cost after paying $154 for the room (1 night).
petty amount that i wouldn't normally complain about BUT the principle of a hotel charging for water is annoying.

Our Managing Director stayed here on the weekend.
Rooms were clean and comfortable and everything that you would want in a hotel room itself. Nice central location, and apparantly good views from the 4th floor, so please request prior to arrival, as she was in the basement ;)

Part of the Dinner meals were the worst meals ive had anywhere in the world and we have stayed at alot of motels/hotels and eaten at many places/resturants. The pork belly and chocolate mud cake were by far the worst I've ever experienced (the pork belly was overcooked taste was burnt and had been microwaved which made it even worse, the mudcake had been put in the microwave as well and the cream/icecream had turned to a water consistency when I spend $85 plus $$$ and get well below average dinner it's apauling, and to top it off I ended going to get dinner from in town. We have stayed here before and the Breaky was amazing as to why we ordered again and thus did not disappoint. I would highly recommend doing something about the smell in the elevator as it smells like a septic tank.

Great location after being on Spirit of Tasmania. Friendly desk service and good restaurant with very accommodating staff for evening meal. Breakfast buffet was scarce of food and had to ask for fruit and hot food to be cooked and topped up as everything was almost empty and only 8: 45 am

Excellent value, food and service, friendly staff made me feel very welcome on my regular stays. It was my home away from home and I can not recommend it highly enough!

Great location and rooms are clean.
Noisy rooms and outside security lights shining through window all night makes the rooms not compatible with sleep.

Stayed at the Gateway last night. The rooms are clean, the sunrise was beautiful. We had dinner in the restaurant, the food was amazing and the staff are so friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Look forward to staying again.

Fantastic from check in to check out. Beautiful food and drinks, great gaming area and excellent customer service. This place is great value and a must stay in Devenport
