Exceptional wine disappointing cellar door.
Listed on the gate, listed on the website opening and closing times. Arrive seeing several groups turned away due to being closed for a function without any sort of notice, not even a piece of paper on the door. My group included.

This place is a standout for fine dining among the vines! In our Tasmanian jaunt we visited both Frogmore Lounge and Frogmore Winery and we felt the Winery is superior.
Every dish was filled with imagination and interesting flavours and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable and the ambience of the room with views of the vines and beyond is just right for a classy lunch. A gem!

Went with my Nan after chemo and after trying to have a great time with her and the whole family we were asked to leave quite rudely. We were just trying to enjoy a good family lunch to try and retain a sense of normalcy during this trying time and this just crumbled everything and ruined our day all because we didn't fit their correct targeted "demographic". Honestly appalling behaviour from this venue.

Still a great spot for lunch after many years. Love going here for a bite to eat before the airport.

Picturesque winery with decent sparking wine, let down by rude staff and tiny / expensive lunch menu

Food and service was good at the restaurant. They sells some wines which you can only buy from frogmore.
The goods from the shop were overpriced. I purchased some honey and mustard from the shop… but realized when I got to Hobart it was $3-$4 cheaper at the Salamanca grocery shop. So don’t bother buying anything from the shop!

Picturesque setting for lunch or wine tastings. Very helpful and passionate staff. Make sure to book if you want to get lunch on a weekend!

Extremely insulted when the manager asked us to leave as we were having a wine lunch as we didn't fit the demographic (their words). Had a bit of a augh with friends and we were not drunk.

Very rude and unprofessional about the situation

We we're asked to leave as we don't fit the Demographic. Potentially we had some low level curse words that you get on a wine lunch with close friends however we were not inappropriate or offensive and the voices were not loud but potentially laughter was. Regardless this was extremely mild but the way the staff members treated us after spending the amount we did was very poor. Cannot recommend this to anyone with attitude on display by certain members. Zia was the only reason this could warrant a mention

Great ambience and location with very nice views. Staff weren’t as attentive as we’d like - my partner and I wandered the gift shop for 5-10 minutes before we were flagged down.

Meals were on the smaller side. Mistakes on both sides for my main which was the Beef Carpaccio. I didn’t know what it was, however took a punt and ordered it. You’d think for a restaurant that lists all ingredients in the dish, they’d state that the beef was in fact raw, not cooked. Didn’t get checked in on at all whilst dining so I decided not to bother and just to take the loss.

Very nice place all in all but could use some improvements.

We had a wonderful day here. The service from booking to leaving was brilliant. The food was exquisite and the wine was perfectly paired. Brilliant view as we dined and a great atmosphere. Anyone who has a day to spare in Southern Tasmania should definitely make time to come here for a visit.

The environment is excellent and the food brilliant. The staff are extremely professional and welcoming.
Revisited this absolute gem again today (5th November) and it is one of the very best around. I highly recommend this venue without hesitation

Group of 10 people. Service is despicable. Hundreds of dollars spent. Wait staff incorrectly recorded drink orders and after they confirmed an error, kept the group 20 min until my husband offered to pay for the 2 drinks not consumed by our group. Left a bad taste in my mouth and I won't be back or recommend.

Great open function space. I loved the look of the exposed timbers in the building and the large doors opening out to paved area. All overlooking the most stunning view of rolling hills.
They catered vegan food for us and it was absolutely incredible. Canapes, mains and dessert were all great.

Its a restuarant that has a "winery as an add on".
the "cellar door" is poor.

Beautiful and modern, with a touch of the old, and of course excellent wines. This winery also participates in the sending home of a dozen wines (no matter where and how you acquired). Bought a couple of bottles, to make up our dozen from our travels, and the very lovely lady packed them for sending back to WA. They could not have done more for us. Highly recommend.

We were so thrilled we stumbled across this little gem. We dropped in for lunch unplanned on Monday as was driving past.

Not only is the location and surrounds stunning, the food, wine and the service was exceptional. The menu is really well priced considering the food was at the level of fine dining quality. The stand out for us was the incredible service we received from Trent from the moment we arrived.

He made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in and set up a table for us as did not have a booking. He made our little girl who is 3 1/2 feel so special and welcome. He got her a little colouring pack to keep her entertained. After an hour she had got a little bored at table and asked us if she could sit down back in the lounge area. Trent saw her sitting there and then got her more paper for her and loaned her his cute little penguin pen to use which she thought was just brilliant.

There is nothing I could fault or suggest for improvement and can’t wait to return back on our next trip back to Tasmania. It was the food highlight of our trip!
