Cradle Forest Inn

Great base for walking holidays in and around Cradle Mountain. Hearty meals at a decent price with a warm welcome. Lovely grounds with active wildlife, with peaceful, cool cabins. Our cabin was a little tired I’m some places but perfectly suitable for a good night’s sleep and refuel.

Online images and description do not match. The room was run down, stains on carpet and no cover on the doona with just a sheet. Ok for a night if you're wanting to visit Cradle Mountain.

Food was okay.but there was no service at all! The young lady at the counter certainly didn't look like happy to work.no greeting, so rude.will not visit again.

Had a fantastic Lunch stop here. The wood fired pizza was amazing. Cozy wood fire.good prices. We will be back

Delicious wood fired pizza, great place to relax by the fire and enjoy some pizza and a glass or two of wine! The pumpkin, salmon and mushroom and blue cheese pizzas are all delicious! Friendly service, rustic feel, accepts card payment.

Terrific food, very friendly staff, they listen to the customer and cooked food how wet liked. Reasonably priced and great atmosphere and ambience.

Stopped for a light lunch on a wet and dreary day. Beautifully quaint place, window and terrace at the back overlooking the forest, and fireplace to boot! Wood fired pizzas on offer, we just had soup and that was delicious. Cakes looked amazing too! Reasonable pricing.

Stopped in for a meal to break up a long drive, pizza was great, staff were dead cold though, other reviews said they were a friendly lot though so maybe we just got them at a bad time.

Woode fired pizza and wood fired nachos were awesome in taste.friendly staff and beautiful wooden ambience as well.highly recommended after long walk/track at Mount Craddle.

Pizza’s were amazing! Not had that hand made quality in years! Friendly staff and cared about what they produced. Cosy and warm place to stop for a meal or a beer. We will be back! Delish!

We come to cradle mountain once to twice a year and i look forward to having lunch here each time. Food is amazing here and people are lovely:) highly recommended!

What a fabulous place. A rustic mountain inn with a cosy cabin was just what we wanted after a hard days hiking. The whole experience was authentically Tasmanian, unpretentious and reasonably priced. The meals were hearty. The wine was good. The accommodation was spacious and warm. The staff were friendly and we just never wanted to leave. This was our favourite place on our holiday. It was also the cheapest price wise. We will be back. Never change a thing Cradle Forest Inn - you are perfect just the way you are.
