Excellent location with beautiful indoor swimming pool, great view of beach along with bay of fire.

Bayside Hotel was an excellent location to stay beautiful location in the bay and very close to drive out to the gorgeous Bay of fires beaches. Hotel room was roomy and bathroom very clean and tidy a great hotel to stay with a great restaurant downstairs for a nice lovely dinner. Hotel provided cups and wine glasses to enjoy a nice bottle of wine from the bottle shop downstairs.

We booked a table for 14 + a high chair, upon arrival our table was 2 people short. Some meals were inedible, others forgotten, chicken meals were served stone cold. The garlic pizza was rock hard. Wouldn’t recommend and will never come back! Disgusting. No wonder they make you pay for your food upon ordering! Nobody would happily pay for this service/meals.

It’s not pretty but it’s also not that expensive. Well located in the centre of town but without dedicated parking (although there is parking across the street…hmmm). Didn’t eat here so i can’t comment on the meals. If you’re not inclined to dine in then there’s plenty of eateries and two supermarkets as neighbours. Room was large, clean, bright and sunny.

Room was what we expected for the price - average, but the bed was comfortable enough. What was disappointing was that the entire hotel stank of cigarettes and the bistro served terrible food at an inflated price. St Helen's is known as a fishing town, yet the "fish of the day" special was Barramundi - a fish that is not found anywhere near Tasmania. AKA frozen fish. Stay here if you have to for one night max, definitely don't eat here.

Nice staff, good value, clean.
But a bit of maintenance wouldn't go astray, also a tad noisy in the evening, but it's to be expected, it's a pub.

As a son of a qualified head chef and we loved to go on holidays we haven't been able to get away but we decided to come down to Scamander on a little holiday and to see the beautiful beaches and we didn't know where to go for dinner coming across a pub was amazing yummy delicious pub meals and that's what we were served we had 11 people and all of us were served in a fast period of time the food was amazing and worth the price the staff were very friendly and the owner was lovely i would definitely recommend heading to the pub if you're looking for a yummy meal it deserves 5stars for the outstanding service

Budget room, but ok. Friendly staff & room is serviced. No microwave & biscuits, tho'! I wish there was a door between bedroom & kitchenette. There's none; so the bedroom can't heat up properly. But it's ok. There's just a room heater. Shower is over bath in room 26. It was nice & hot. I'm on bed with electric blanket on, nice & warm! Tv works. Also they have an indoor swimming pool. Warm water. I had the Cheesecake with cream & icecream; as room service. Lovely & a bigger slice than I expected. I locked myself out of the room & the Mgr let me back in. He was very nice about it!

Beautiful little sea side town. The hotel is located right next to the water adjacent to a nice park. The staff are friendly and bistro serves hearty food. The rooms are clean but needs some work.

We came at almost 10pm at night after calling ahead, the staff were extremely accommodating. Rooms were nice and clean with heating.

Room is big and has a balcony, but it smells quite odd and has no wifi. Good for a 1-3 night stay, wouldn’t stay any longer though.

Took my young family for dinner food and service was fantastic Thank you even my children ate all their dinner the only downside was the horseracing on the bistro tv's which did nothing but promote gambling to my under age children I thought this was a family venue

Had the honey mustard chicken and was quite unimpressed with the price and quality of it.was very basic cream based sauce with onion and mustard seeds.no prestation was considered 27 dollars was not worth it. And standard flathead and chips was oily and cold with no house made tartare.

Great service, prices & atmosphere, wish we had dinner there instead of the wharf bar, witch was over priced and poor quality and a dead atmosphere listening to chefs talk about cypress hill band members and how much a carton of beer cost.

Lovely stay. Bay views were magical. Food and service excellent. Wait staff were helpful. Kristie was accomodating with my needs. And made sure my meal was safe for me to eat Thank you again for our stay.

And water heating

Overall I loved the one night stay here and would come back. This hotel deserves five stars.
