Cascade Brewery

My partner and I frequent the brewery bar. It’s not only absolutely beautiful inside and out, but the food is brilliant and the staff are always fabulous. One of my favourite places to be. The apple and rhubarb crumble by the fire is perfect after work.

Has lovely gardens and plenty of parking. Staff are always very friendly. The range of drinks is very nice. Meals and nibbles available. Coffee is available but unfortunately they have closed their coffee shop.

Wow! What an experience at Cascade Brewery the highs, the lows and everything inbetween. The start of the day started off amazing with beautiful beer and a cheese board. But it soon stopped there, the food was probably the worst we had eaten in our entire trip to Tasmania (we are regular visitors). Not to mention the staff, rude, cold and slightly aggressive.

Overall the day was ruined by the staff who weren’t nearly trained well enough for such a significant landmark of Tasmania.

I’m writing this review while still on premises as I am that disappointed. To top it off we were rudely asked to move from our designated seat as they had a musician that was apparently more important than paying customers.

Apon entering we found the greeting somewhat rude, the food was expensive and small portions, bar staff very friendly and knowledgeableon wjat they serve, not much there merchandise wise and nothing priced either.definitely very different from 4 years ago.lift your game guys.you have a beautiful establishment just need some happier faces working there

Service was lovely, nothing was ever even the slightest problem (we've found this alot in Tas, everyone is lovely and accommodating). Location has a scenic lookout and wonderful gardens for the kids to run and play while the adult enjoyed a drink or a paddle of their drink of choice

I am so disappointed to write this review based on the recommendations from friends but my god the staff here are beyond rude. I am actually surprised. I saw staff make snide comments at families with children and also just the overall attitude. One lady with a bulldog piercing in her nose was so rude I honestly don’t even know how she got a job in hospitality. So sad! Especially when holidaying is few and far between at the moment.

The staff, the ambience, the live music, the setting, the food - did I mention the staff? Don’t miss this place, you will kick yourself. Truly amazing.

Absolutely LOVED the History Tour with Jacinta! Having done a few brewery tours in different countries I was a little over being asked again which 4 ingredients made beer and being shown the same equipment every other brewery had with the only difference being potentially the scale.
Not a single foot stepped into the brewery and yet it was one of the most informative and best conducted tours! We loved Jacinta’s energy and humour in which she passed on her wealth of knowledge about Cascade. We will be urging people to take part in this! Definitely a MUST DO in Hobart for us!

We had lunch at the Brewery recently, the food was good but spoilt by the fact that we had to queue for food and drinks. This might be OK for some, but when you are elderly and on a walker and the queue is very long it is not so good. Then to have a group of three able bodied people jump in front of you that is not OK. The staff just served them as if that was the way things were.

Great venue, great park, great staff, but I can’t get over the fact that the pale ale taste like a basic watery lager.
Try the Little Creatures Pale Ale from WA Son.
Zero star for the beers (stout was not available on tap).
The taste of the pale ale is quite shocking, it has nothing to do with a pale ale, please consider calling it a lager.

Great views and gardens. Tasting paddles and a parmy! Food took about 45 mins to come out so perhaps order early to avoid waiting too long. Tours book out so be sure to book in advance.

Went for the brewery tour which was good as we got to see all the old machineries and the ones now. The 4-tasters of beer/cider was totally worth it. We ordered some food which was really good. The over all ambience, music and service from the staff was amazing!

Nice new look, with more seating these days. Menu a bit limited, but we were happy with our Salmon and Parmy. It's a bit noisy with music and chatter, but the staff were friendly! Beautiful outlook and lovely gardens.

Great beer/cider tasting experience with the brewery tour.nice food and the gin pop up was a welcome addition to the beautiful garden when i visited!

While the location has upgraded since my last visit and looks great, the food has taken a massive nosedive. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, great location.
Shame the food was awful, unfortunately will not be returning any time soon.

The Cascade Brewery Bar is everything you could want in casual dining. The food and service were excellent with staff being particularly accommodating and professional. The venue is superb.

Loved it! Great vibe, great beers! The staff are by far the most accommodating that I have experienced. If you're in Hobart for great food and beer, there's no reason not to visit!

We loved everything! Beautiful space, the old building and the new bar, the gardens, the food and the service. Super generous servings and very tasty.

Provided with a seat only for it to be taken whilst I waited for service at the bar. Subsequently, I walked out. Poor bar service!
