Staff were exceptional very knowledge and attentive to us throughout the evening. The menu was delicious, creative and beautifully show cased local and seasonable produce which was a delight both to the eyes and the palate. Wonderful experience with perfect background music to make it an intimate meal despite having lots of people around. It was certainly a highlight of our trips. Thanks so much Aura!

My partner and I booked for an early seating at the bar for the vegan chef's menu and we're delighted by the food, drinks and service all. I would definitely sit at the bar again as we were able to get quick service and recommendations and could watch everything happening in front of us. The fermented mushroom chips with sunflower cream were deadly good. 10/10 experience.

Spot on service, attentive but not overwhelming. The Chefs Selection was incredible and worthwhile, you will try things you would probably ignore. Great views over the city as well.

This is the first negative review I have really written! The New Year’s Eve event was beyond disappointing and a total waste of $180 pp! There was no live music as stated and it was only upon enquiry that I was told, it was because the band or a band member had COVID! Apparently there was an update about this, but I must of missed it! As I could find nothing on the Aura FB page. Food was ok, sadly even though we stated ages ago about dietary requirements, unfortunately two members of our group were not really catered for! As for the hot food, well we didn’t really get a chance to try that, after people were taking the whole plate put out to share, back to their table! DRINK SPECIALS? If you were referring to that piece of paper on each table with a list of drinks and prices, I would hardly call that a special! It seemed like regular prices you would pay on a night out anyway! We ended up ordering a couple of bottles of overpriced wine at $72 per bottle, which would normally cost $32! What a ridiculous mark up! I understand that it is normally more expensive to purchase at a restaurant, but seriously $40 more? We ended up leaving at 10pm as after paying $180 for our non refundable ticket, overpriced drinks, no live music and ok food! We decided it would of been better to have just stayed home or gone out to a nice restaurant!

Went for the new year event and charged $550 for 3 ppl. The food was like $30 buffet, no any alcohols in the package. The only meat in the table was lamb shoulder.we tried to get more prawns and it was no any top up, we saw some people came in late without seating table and chairs and wasn’t much food left (some food they don’t top up). At the late I went to get some more cheese for snack but no any plates and I asked the staff for more plates I got tell the food service is end (there was still lots of cheese and fruit on the table). We spent like $500 at the drinks plus the packages we were spent more than $1000 for 3ppl and still going to casino looking for food! Strongly recommend don’t come to this place! They are robbing money.

Lovely restaurant and interesting chefs menu, however would not recommend it if you do not eat red meat.

As the main dish is lamb and vegetables, we gave notice a few days before that we do not eat red meat. We received a substitute of more vegetables in addition to the vegetables already on the dish. A plate of vegetables were not what we were expecting considering the cost of the chefs menu.

Such a beautiful place for a special occasion - though we weren't told ahead of time that big groups have a set menu, and some of the group weren't feeling too adventurous. The potato bread (pictured) was a massive hit with everyone, and we loved the atmosphere though!

Very poor service attitude, especially the manager, and the food has become more and more perfunctory. So, I wouldn't advise eating a bad restaurant.

Great service, food was delicious.
We had a group of 4 and did the chef's selection.
My wife is pregnant and that's all we had to tell them. Separate dishes for her when she needed them to be extra cooked or had deli meats etc. Offered additional mocktails that weren't on the menu.
Will go back again.

Great views and service, interesting sounding menu but the food wasn't especially flavoursome. Maybe good for a cocktail instead.

Amazing view great cocktails only guy used bare hand to place ice in our drinks other than that friendly staff no more to be said

Probably the best meal I've had in recent memory in Hobart. Simple but beautifully flavoured food, perfectly presented and the service was top notch. Heading back next week for sure.

Very nice menu and interior decor, but it’s really all about the view! Ideal venue for an upscale meal.

I can’t think of any other venues in the CBD with an outlook that you get at AURA. This was matched with friendly and knowledgeable service. I like that our waiter was able to tell us about the ingredients provenance. I will be going there again when the menu changes in line with the next season’s produce.

Great spot in Hobart! Beautiful ambience and drinks. Sit on the side that is directly in front of the entrance for a better view.

A lovely and cozy restaurant with beautiful Local dishes and a great wine range. Their local oysters is amazing. Ambience ️️️️
Best for candlelight dinner

Location is obviously awesome. The table was situated right near the window.so we was able to take in those amazing views. Staff were friendly, meal was average unfortunately and over priced, that’s the same for the wine, I guess the rents not cheap. Went down to bar situated on level 4, great atmosphere except you need to wait for like 20 minutes for drink.so if you’re in a hurry give it a wide berth.

Amazing food. We tried the Chef’s experience, and it didn’t disappoint. Personal fave is the Choux Pastry with Pyengana Cheese filling.

The love for local produce shines through the plates. Totally worth experiencing!
