So many great facilities, friendly staff and something for everyone. Perfect place to escape without having to venture far from home.

I thought it was going to be better. The general conditions of the swimming pool area need urgent maintenance. Also the toilets were filthy. Although, the bistro and the location of the resort were excellent.

This place was fun you don't even have to leave to have a good time there are plenty of things to do right where you are

Is good for kids.rooms are very dated. In need of alot of love. Restaurant is ummm. Not good.below average at best. Got pizza for the kids. Like a Cole's frozen packet pizza. Kids didn't even like it. If the chef cannot cook a scotch fillet. Ya gotta start asking questions.
But for the kids. Apart from the pizza they loved it. Spent a week there. After several attempts at the restaurant, we learnt just to eat out. So was ok overall.

Great place, a little dated, but the service is wonderful. Room are spotless and the view as you sip your morning coffee amazing. Great for families and couples only 15 minutes from Launceston airport. Great price all you could ask for.

Stayed with a conference. The buffet at the Bistro was excellent. The facilities - pool, spa, sauna, mini golf, paddle boats etc were all clean, well-presented and working in good order. Shops were good, staff are friendly, and beautiful surrounds too.

Amazing place, far from the chaos of the city! Our room was a huge Executive spa bedroom. Everything was great except the spa didn't work though it's huge! Thanks for a lovely stay!

The property is excellent for family holidays. However, my wife & I had a Boutique Studio with dble bed attached to a chalet which was tiny. Hardly enough room to swing a cat. The bathroom was tiny, towels were scungy, there was a pocket size tissue packet supplied in the bathroom, the tv was small, cigarette butts were left on the ground outside the front door & I had to bring in the outdoor setting so we could sit & eat.

The resort was actually very good. The facilities are excellent (Swimming pool, golf park, mini golf, Swiss style shopping arcades with Bistro, open space with lots of wildlifes around, tennis court, bouncing beds, gym). The chalets villas looked really nice on the outside.

But what brought it down massively is the unfortunate mismatch generated from the hype of how this place is being marketed vs the reality of the accommodation experience. We stayed at Vista Chalet for reference.

The property is in real need of a facelift. It looks very old on the inside marked by numerous paint chips, nail holes, and rather dark lightnings (all 4500k lights at possibly 60% luminosity). The bed was ok. The kitchen facilities are really bare. The stove reminds me of 1980s induction style stove with rotary dials to control it. The shower pressure is weak (not too weak to become unusable or ineffective). I will give credit for the effective heating and relative cosyness of the place.

Given the price (which probably was elevated due to holiday season), there is a better place to go but with proper upgrade which I could see is happening, the accommodation experience could be massively improved and I look forward for that day and give it 5/5.

Great family facilities. The food at the cafes and restaurant was delicious, they catered well for gluten free. The cabins are dated, our main problem was the beds so hard and uncomfortable we woke up with back aches. Some of the rooms have pillow tops on the mattresses but not our room

Nothing fancy as such although paid a very high price for a night stay. The rooms and the whole resort is a bit dated and needs a big upgrade and makeup over. We could clearly hear the next room guest talking and coughing. Amenities provided in the room are very limited and you got to pay even for an additional supply of milk for coffee/tea and a dental kit. Being a 4 star, many basic amenities were missing (no slippers, bath gown, etc). The reception was cold and serious both at the resort reception and the restaurant. Did not feel much welcome. Thankfully, the housekeeping lady was more pleasant than the reception.

The best was the breakfast and the lovely surroundings.
Would not recommend it for the price we paid. It was worth half of that price.

Amazing service and super friendly staff. Aspect Tamar is a jewel in Tasmania. A huge amount of internal activities combined with good, high value accommodation makes this place excellent value.
The restaurant is great with an excellent menu and more super friendly staff.
Breakfast is well worth getting because you have a huge buffet style.
Lastly, the COVID safety is very high and we never felt unsafe.
We will definitely continue coming back.

Great value in Swiss style chalets with kitchenette and microwave in the heart of the Tamar valley. Ample free parking. Loved the Swiss village with restaurant, cafe's, bakery and little shops. Lots of entertainment for the kids and their parents in this well kept resort.

Room was just right for one night stay and good price. Restaurant went above and beyond to accommodate myself and husband as both vegan. Highly recommended as the service was friendly and helpful.

Checked in, found our cabin only to discover it was not the wheelchair accessible one I'd asked for. Back to reception, was asked why I had not stated that when booking online - I booked by phone for this exact reason - so I could explain my needs to a person and ask questions. Anyway, were advised a room was available but would be about 2 hours before we could get keys. Finally got into the cabin. I would challenge a 5 yr old wheelchair bound child to manoeuvre in there comfortably let alone a grown person! No wifi. Bathroom had all the necessary hand rails, absolutely no water pressure in shower. The lino in the "kitchen" part came unstuck. Lovely breakfast with good service at MissaSippy cafe, room service dinner was delivered hot however, when my diabetic companion asked if the potato mash on the pork dish she wanted could be changed to sweet potato mash was told they dont usually do that so chef had to be asked. Answer from him - no! She ordered something else. Final night, decided we'd dine at Alpenrose bistro. First mistake, booked thru their online system. We arrived, couldn't find our booking even though I showed the confirmation on my phone. Staff were all very young and fumbled around badly trying to find a table even though place was nowhere near crowded. Finally put us (and my wheelchair) out the back as far from any doors/bathrooms as it was possible to get, into a booth! Ordered a cocktail each. After quite a wait drinks were delivered again by a girl who didn't look old enough to be serving alcohol and who nearly deposited them all on my head as her tray was overloaded and she had no idea how to handle it. Had to help her get them on table safely. We both ordered the chargrilled scotch fillet with the same request for sweet potato on one and mash instead of roasted potato on the other. These items are on menu for other dishes. Was told it would cost more if the chef agreed to do it - he didnt! Entree of salt and pepper squid was nice but was large main meal size. My medium well and companion's rare steak both came overcooked with a heavy emphasis on the "char" so much so that it was almost inedible. The village itself is very cute and worth a visit but i would not recommend staying there in a villa or chalet. Maybe the hotel is better. All in all a very disappointing choice of accommodation. The whole place needs serious updating and lots of work for it to be truly called wheelchair accessible but I have found this is true of just about any tourist attraction/site/accommodatio in Tasmania except for the caravan parks. They are great.

The golf course has improved since a couple of years ago and I had a very enjoyable few games. The breakfast is included in the deal and is very nice. The Asian lady (sorry for this description) at breakfast is super friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend this place for families and oldies like us.

The grounds here are very nice. Lots to do and are kept very tidy, have So much wildlife and is just very pretty. Our beds weren’t the comfiest and made lots of squeaky noises whenever you moved. I also would of liked an actual dooner instead of just a rug and sheet. Thankyou though for the nice stay:)

Horrible place to stay would never go there again too expensive cabin so small. Linen had marks spare blanket dirty the list is endless. The restaurant was the only good part. We wanted to leave within the hour

We recently stayed here for 2 nights in a Chalet.

Good points about Chalet: It was good in size, in a peaceful corner. With a kitchenette which was super useful for us.

Not so good points about Chalet: It need some repairing as we were not able to open few of the windows. I haven't seen such a cheap sofa anywhere in our stay in Tasmania, the sinking feeling sofa, you just sink in it. Also, it is a self-serve and stay arrangement, so no room cleaning and servicing for the entire duration of your stay. If you need servicing then pay 25 AUD. There is no dish washer, so you need help in cleaning utensils, pay 20 AUD.

Worse point about Chalet: No Wifi. And no mobile signal. Wifi is only available in some areas in this resort and our Chalet was not in that area. On top of that there was no mobile signal. That was horrible.

This place is small but beautiful. Lot of birds and wallabies. There are couple of restaurants in the market area. We tried Lamb shank there which was good and reasonably priced.

Overall, IMO, it is a good place to visit as they allow visitors but better to stay in Launceston as per night charges are higher here and not much advantage.

Fantastic mini golf course, happy birthday to the bakery owner, with hot chocolate and home made sausage rolls and pies.
