The Summit Cafe and Function Centre

Just enjoyed a wonderful day at the Summit Cafe to celebrate partners 70th birthday. Staff were wonderful and very accommodating. Meals were great everybody enjoyed themselves.

This place is a must visit. I came in yesterday for lunch and felt very welcomed as i came in the door.
The staff were all helpful and i think all said hello as our group came through the door.
The food was beautiful well presented and tasted awesome.
Thank you guys we will certainly be back soon.

We recently had a wedding and reception at this venue. The biggest unpredictable problem in January is definitely the weather.
As it turned out the weather was a bit off. We were subjected to intermittent downfalls of rain and the humidity was high which was even felt inside the restaurant.
But the staff were not put off. They simply went straight to plan B and the wedding went off very well.
We reverted from outside to inside.
The manager was there at the wedding car to assist the bride out of the car with an umbrella in tow to get her inside. Now that made her day even a bigger success.
The food provided was from their restaurant and it was lovely and plenty of it.
The wedding cake was cut and then taken away to be served up for the guests. They added a mixed berry sauce and fresh cream which made the wedding cake just perrrfect.
The weather could have been anything this time if the year but although humid it was only in the mid 20’s. I consider us to be very luck.
The staff were professional, polite and we have no complaints. It made for an overall great day.
An ideal location, beautiful staff that could not do anymore to make the day a success. Beautiful food. Beautiful restaurant and ideal for a marriage followed by the reception.

Eli served us extremely well, the views and pizzas are all amazing, quality wines available and very clean, a must see and do, I recommend this for a Sunday drive also.

On such a drizzly day, the staff gave a warm welcome. Quickly my friend and I received our coffees, made to perfection by Gabby. The food was served soon after, Tom and Dan providing a memorable meal to make anyone wish to return. A big thank you to the staff for coming out in this weather and to the floor staff in particular for treating us so warmly.

I recommend this for anyone who just needs a nice treat, alone or with friends.

Now I've never done this before but this Friday was truly a wonder, I cannot believe the service I received. This lovely lady named Justine, who had the brightest hair and personality, served me these lovely house made scones and an excellent cappuccino. It's so hard to find a good coffee these days and I'm so glad I've found one. What a lovely experience at such a beautiful location. I have full intention of bringing my family here soon.

Wonderful view and lovely service, was served by the kindest person on the planet, Crystal. She was speedy and accomodating, making sure my partner had the best first experience at Mt lofty. The nachos were incredibe, it was a race between us of who could eat the most, kudos to the kind chefs for providing such a delicious meal. I recommend to everyone.

Brunch food was alright. Good hollaindase sauce with poached eggs. The main attraction was the lookout point. Beautiful view, with a track you can hike up and down.

What a lovely experience. Truly a wonderful way to spend a Monday morning, with a beautiful views and lovely service. I was served by the brightest young lady named Serenna, her smile shone through her mask. After viewing their exciting breakfast menu, I finally settled on the Ham and cheese croissant with tomato, it was wonderfully prepared by Dan the chef. It's hard these days to find a good sized croissant for good money, but let me tell you that I found one. After this I decided to treat myself (might as well when I'm at such a quality place) and got a scone with jam and cream. Now this scone was house made! And how wonderful it was! Truly, it came out after being warmed up and I got to add my own jam and cream, this is something that we all take for granted, nothing is worse than too much or not enough cream/jam, and this way I knew that this scone would be special. Boy was I right. I enjoyed every second of my time here, and hope to be bringing my dear friends here soon, 10/10

My husband booked the summit to have a small family celebration for my birthday at the summit.

From the moment we entered to the moment we paid and left, everything was perfect.

The waitress was friendly and attentive and the meals were perfect! Compliments to the chef!

A very well organised and run business and truly an asset to SA!

This place is amazing! Came here for my Nan's birthday and could not have been more impressed. I got the Summit Burger and it was astounding, the meat tasted great and was cooked perfectly. My Nan got a Pumpkin, carrot and ginger soup which I gave a little taste and holy moly it was perfect. Perfect temperature coming put of the kitchen, perfect texture, perfect mix of flavour. Thank you for the amazing day to all the amazing staff here!

I am a frequent visitor to The Summit and have ALWAYS found John to be good humoured and accommodating. In fact all the staff are consistently cheerful and welcoming. This is a professionally run establishment that has managed the ever changing COVID 19 regulations strictly while maintaining customer privacy and satisfaction.

It’s 3.06 pm 5th July. Despite kitchen closure; the lady at the counter helped me In getting the Lunch order go through.

It's not the first time that I have received bad service from the Manager at this place. John the "Manager" does not smile back, does not make time to engage in friendly chit chat with customers and is unashamedly rude. The customer is just another sale to process. He is unapologetic and confrontational about his rudeness when he is made aware of it. He is not fit for this kind of role. Perhaps a factory line work would better suit him where he doesn't have to deal with people. If it wasn't for the view and it's location, that cafe would be in trouble. I don't recommend this place.

We regular walkers love the warm hospitality, and best coffee n food after braving the elements on the trails. The supervisor and staff are professional so helpful when it comes to the COVId QR. Best cafe restaurant in the hills. Love the views.

Great view and good menu options. Service was fast and friendly. We had trio of dips, chicken foccacia, croissant and cheesy garlic bread. All very tasty!

Walked in to the summit cafe this morning without a reservation, made several changes to our order after we paid. The owner was very helpful with changing it for us without any issues! Highly recommend this cafe, staff very friendly and inviting, owner was amazing! Food 10 out of 10! We will definitely go back!
