The Summit Cafe and Function Centre

Beautiful place to come up and enjoy a cuppa or a meal with wonderful views. The meals are well priced and tasty. We really enjoyed our day out, the service was great friendly staff serving with a smile. Recommend to try it out.

We booked Mt Lofty Summit Cafe, recently, for a private function, to celebrate a significant birthday. It was an intimate affair for 21 people, including 3 children. A number of our guests were flying in from interstate, and we wanted to showcase Adelaide’s finest.

We asked Andrew, the Manager, if he’d consider coordinating a unique degustation menu. The Cafe hadn’t done this before, so Andrew used his expert knowledge and worked with, who we now consider to be a very talented chef, to develop a 5-course degustation menu, using only locally sourced produce, along with wine pairings from the local region.

Andrew stayed in touch, every step of the way and the menu was set!

We arrived to bubbles and canapés, a lovely welcoming atmosphere, and a superb view out over Adelaide.

We were seated for the various courses. Ethan, our waiter, along with manager Andrew, took care of us all, for the entire evening. The service was superb! They were serving food, topping up drinks, keeping an eye on our and the kids’ needs, changing cutlery, picking up napkins… everything was perfect.

The chefs’ hard work paid off. Food presentation was beautiful, portions were generous, the mix of colours and flavours were inspirational.

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue, and evening. Everyone was so complementary and our birthday boy was grinning from ear to ear, to not only have his nearest and dearest celebrate his milestone, but also to experience the best that Adelaide has to offer.

We highly recommend engaging with Andrew and the team, at Mt Lofty Summit Cafe, and doing something a little different, for an intimate gathering.

The staff were kind and considerate and the food was excellent. We booked about a week in advance. We went midweek and found the atmosphere excellent. It has disability access. My wife and I will definitely be going back. A hidden Gem in the Adelaide Hills.

Wonderful function yesterday with great food and swift, efficient service by all staff, particularly by Adam. Attention to some of our special needs was most appreciated by our party. Well done!

Great for lunch on a visit to the hills. Staff very friendly but we clashed with a big baby shower party which lead to almost an hour wait for food and the noise was oppressive. Others have commented on the acoustics caused by the building design.

We adore The Summit, not only the best views in Adelaide but also gorgeous food and the friendliest skilled service team. Always worth the trip up the hill!

Had the Bruchetta for lunch which was super tasty. Excellent customer service too - the staff was so lovely!

Had a lovely experience, brunch was great and the coffees were even better. However what made our experience so lovely was the service, Serenna was just lovely. Will definitely be back!

Amazing place to eat! Always love the food here and the service is great, staff always go above and beyond to treat their other customers well and make our dining experience a memorable one. Super appreciative for my many lovely dining experiences here!

Staff are impeccably friendly and always kind-faced. Particular shout outs to Grace, Ren, Justine, and Eddie. Coffee was great, barista was even better. Cant recommend enough.

What can I say.had a wonderful experience from when we arrived to when we left. We had a beautiful person by the name of Serenna greet us and took us to our table. The food was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be back when we come back to South Australia.

Such a lovely dining experience, the food was amazing and service was quick and super professional. The staff were so helpful and kind to our group, it definitely made our visit so much more lovely! Will be back for sure

After the hiking Mt Lofty and being exhausted. Being able to sit down in a neat air conditioning cafe that provides good coffee and a decent breakfast.

The view of Adelaide is well worth the visit and the cafe is just cherry on the cake.

Btw And U can buy some souvenirs if U so feel inclined too.

Food and coffee plus service is outstanding. You must try the corn bread for breakfast. It's next level amazing

Great. We went there on the weekend for a birthday brunch and it was excellent. Great setting, great food. Was kinda fun watching the rain pelt down (feeling lucky we were inside, while bedraggled hikers came in).

Best breakfast ever. Great food, super friendly staff and amazing environment. I had the granola with Greek yogurt and I never had anything like it. Delicious! All the dishes we have ordered were fantastic. Definitely going back soon.

Climbing to the Summit in fine weather and then enjoying a nice lunch here. Pretty good. Isn't it?

Extremely overpriced and not that good! $52.00 for fish & chips, iced coffee and a small piece of cheesecake. Fish had so much batter on it and was so oily.
