The Salopian Inn

We popped in for a quick lunch and were hugely impressed with the quality of the food. Those dumplings! If we weren’t full we would have ordered another serving. Delicious.

Busy but service is always good and friendly and the food is great. They have a Feed Me option which consists of a fabulous series of dishes that leaves you feeling more than satisfied (couldn't squeeze another thing in!). They also do the Feed Me option for vegans and vegetarians. We had the vegan option and rest of family had the meat options and it was truly enjoyed by all. Do yourself a favour and get yourself to the Salopian Inn.

My wife and I have been to the Salopian many times. A friend of ours used to be the executive chef there and her food was like Rembrandts palette. Since then the restaurant has had many new chefs, but nothing has tickled our fancy. We think the food is average. The place is clean, with great views and surroundings of the McLaren vines, so it's still worth a try to make your own opinion. The service is ok nothing outstanding.

Great food! Dumplings for entree delish! Pork belly for main, best pork belly I have had! Highley recommend!

Everything we ate was superb.particularly the dumplings and the ice cream sandwich. Wish we lived nearby.

Steak was pretty ordinary considering the price. Had the 350gm rump which would be lucky to have been 250gm. It was cooked well but the cut of meat was supposed to be grass fed beef rump. It was tough and not as good as I have had at a much cheaper pub meal. Need to get a better butcher!

This is a must visit when you come to the area. Fantastic food, fantastic staff and a great wine and gin list. Did I mention fantastic food? ! Just delicious.

What an experience, we shared a big tbone with duck fat photos, seasonal greens, pork steamed buns and wow what a great cheesecake desert.it was a memorable night with good food and service.

Absolutely delightful meals - all local, simple and delicious. Great wines to match and an incredible wine cellar to choose from.

Had a booking and was called to to be informed there was a power outage and no meals tonight, which is fine these things happen. Received a call 20mins later saying everything was fine and we could keep our booking. When we arrived an hour later we were greeted at door to be told there was no service tonight! No attempt to contact us or any offer of a future discount! POOR customer service! Very dissapointed.
